Congrats on 100K subs! I loved your early Minaal vids so much that I purchased the Carry-on and Daily bags. Eventually got the Rolltop bag for office usage and the Crossbody bag for EDC or small excursions. Minaal makes great quality stuff and was awesome for my work travels but also my 2 week international travels/vacations. What sold me on the Carry-on and Daily bags was you can store the Daily inside the tech pocket of the Carry-on, leave the Carry-on + extra clothes/toiletries in your hotel and just travel with minimal stuff using the Daily or Crossbody bags. As for what to fit in the business paper pocket... I actually put in business papers in there or my work notebook, works well enough although it doesn't feel as intentional as the rest of the bag. I bought the 3.0 bags from the preorder period but haven't gotten to using them due to travel restrictions. For anyone using 2.0 bags, the 3.0 bags are just slightly better QoL improvements and may not be worth upgrading to unless you want to support Minaal or intend to trade the 2.0s back into the Minaal marketplace for store credit and getting the 3.0s (yes that's a thing now).
I got these bags as a graduation gift for myself after watching all of your videos when looking for my first big bag investment. What you do is magic and greatly appreciated! Vibing with second hat choice. Good call!
We waited for a long time for this moment!! We needed Chase energy. Also, I think your camera quality is better now, and very easy to watch your video compared to your past videos.
I know this is about the new Minaal, but will say how much I still love and live out of my 2.0 (even in these times it gets a workout) yeah, expensive and fancy but for me, it was worth the pennies. If I was in the market for this type of thing, I would totally grab this. Edited to add: it was Chase’s review that really sold it to me. Also, as a drag my shit around whilst living between two towns I actually just shove my crumpled up clothes through the top, works a treat 👌
I've been watching your reviews for years- for a minute I thought you were done with the business paperwork but I knew it was coming the second you stopped talking. Keep up the good work
For anyone looking to carry a camera in the Daily, if you don't use the internal water bottle holder, the Tenba BYOB 10 fits great and holds a pretty good amount of gear.
I have the 2.0 and I am not a minimalist at all, I love to take and wear tones of clothes. I use to travel only with the Carry-on bag (in hot countries). And I pack only 1 big packing cubes (to save space inside for other things like a pair of shoes). The mesh and the small pockets are perfect to fit many clothes (like pants in the mesh and underwear in the small pocket). The big packing cubes for shirts. I take an empty small packing cubes for dirty clothes. The 3rd small packing cube I never use it. For the techroom I use the "business paper pocket" everytime. This pockets is the biggest mistake on the bag (and the water bottle pocket too) but I use it everytime to put a small rain jacket.
I just wanted to say thank you for this video. It really helped with narrowing down to the Minaal and it was a great walk through once I got the travel pack
I have the Minaal 2.0 EDC (functionally the same bag, minus a few sexy add ons) and I use that business paper pocket to hold my notebook and computer power charger (in addition to any potential file folders i have along with me at the time). I keep the little clip thing clipped almost all the time and then i can easily slide in my half-letter sized notebook on one side and my wrapped up mac charger on the other. It works well considering I tend to only need those two items when i am using my computer. I absolutely love the bag.
How does this compare with the Bellroy Transit Plus? I’m curious generally, with respect to carry on compliance, and comfort in particular. I’m having decision paralysis
My favorite way to pack the Carry-on 2.0 is to never fully open the main pocket. Instead, I just open the zipper halfway, equivalent to the 2.0 tech section that opened halfway.
I need some hiking backpack reviews. Right now that travel is limited hiking is a great escape. Mountainsmith is a brand I've been looking at. But I'd love to see other options but most importantly just want to see the content lol.
I have the daily, I love it, it’s perfect! I am actually able to pack my 13 inch laptop and 12.9 iPad Pro, the table compartment is great, not that I’ve been traveling lol, but it helps to move from one room to another...
I adore my Minaal 2.0, except that the material is an absolute pet hair magnet. Their private launch page states that the new fabric "attracts less hair, lint, and dust," but the term "less" isn't as descriptive as I would have hoped. Would love to see this new fabric in action!
Could you fit packing cubes in the small daily back? If so, how many? I think the peak design packing cube is the standard universaly used to describe a size. Would you say a medium peak design packing cube fits there? Thank you
Hey man i am going to backpack South America in a few months. I don’t know what bag I should take. Should it be the peak design 65L duffel or something else??
You could get real crazy and pull a Rodney, put all your dongles in a pouch, then put that pouch in a tech kit AND THEN put that tech kit in your back pack. Feels a little “Pimp My Ride” ...
I know you don't do different products much but can you do something with shoes like hari mari? I like their flipflops and maybe you can give them a try?
Hey Chase, nice job again on these 2. I saw on the Minaal site that there is a shoulder strap that you can add in order to wear the Daily as a messenger bag when the other straps are tucked-in. Did you try it? Your thoughts on this? Thanks man!
Idk I really don't like packing pouches. They seem like a hassle. Open up your bag, pull out your packing pouch, open up the packing pouch, take out your stuff, zip up the packing pouch, put back the packing pouch, zip up your actual bag. Damn man, all I wanted was to get 1 thing out. Turns a 3 step move into 7. Awesome bag but I need some structure to protect the inside.
The 2nd camera angle is distracting imo (not just on your channel, on all of them). Until a few months ago I'd never seen this used in anything other than an interview, but now a lot of channels seem to be wanting to "up their production value". One of the best parts of your videos is that we can feel like you're talking directly to us which the 2nd camera kind of wrecks (in an interview this isn't a problem because they are talking to the interviewer, not the viewer). Also, the colour is different between the two cameras, so instead of fixing that just axe the 2nd one! :) I wonder if anyone else agrees?
Great looking one bag travel bag for Asia/Australia. However, it is still .5kg heavier than the Peak duffel and the Patagonia Black Hole 32L. Every gram matters when you have a 7kg max.. Thanks Chase!!
Really? 0.5kg heavier than the Peak duffel? Love that bag btw, my only grief is the handles sometime. And also, really hate the 7kg limit, it's way to little.
@@lowesmed5681 The airlines want to milk you! Some have now a 0 kg limit. No bag without paying extra! But you still can get a Scott eVest and stuff all the heavy things in pockets.
@@mrcvry The vest would probably work. But the 7kg limit isn't a FEE it is CHECK THE BAG. It is an unreasonable amount but I accept the challenge for the joy of one bag travel. :)
@@jeffone The limit is lowered to force you to check-in your bag and pay a fee for it. Next is perhaps a fee for your body weight and a fee for oxygen during the flight.
i like the idea of this but... I don't like that it doesn't hold it's shape at all when empty for not all the way filled. I'd prefer a litttttleee more stiffness.
During the “papers” part I was in sort of a trance... I think I might have sold him my soul or something 😄

This watches more like an infomercial than a Chase Reeves review
We waited for a long time for this moment!! We needed Chase energy.
Also, I think your camera quality is better now, and very easy to watch your video compared to your past videos.
Another great review! Only problem, I did a shot every time you said "arguably" - by the end of the review I was in no shape to argue with anyone.

Agree! Got the 3.0 from Kickstarter for a good price.
You always make me want to put everything I own neatly into pouches.
The Minaal 2.0 and your video are what go me hooked. Ever since that video I have had chase reeves directly injected to my veins.
remember those scream transitions! hahaha
I've been watching your reviews for years- for a minute I thought you were done with the business paperwork but I knew it was coming the second you stopped talking. Keep up the good work
Big Shout out from Sweden!!!!! I love you man!! Keep up the awesome work!!
Minaal should use this: 10:06 as their ad

so many channels try it but Chase is the only one who really nails making his reviews feel like a clubhouse
I just got an Aer Day Pack 2, I loved your review on it! Thanks so much Chase for helping me find my dream (for a few months) bag.

I'm still using my gen1 from 2014 and it's going strong. I love this bag so much. It's been everywhere and is always perfect.
His signature "paper, business paper..man" just love it :)
Pakt Travel Bag is still the GOAT! Just can’t be touched.
Remember when we could travel?
I think I remember that. Isn’t that when you leave your fucking 🏠. Pardon my French!
"Turtle on a half shell", love it!

This is one of the best reviews Ive seen. I got the carry on 3.0 and I am still finding compartments I didn't know existed
the actual look of the bag in your video is better than what they have shown on their official online store.
Not a big Phish fan either, but saw them with Neil Young. Confirmed they are a better experience live, imo.
I hate to say it because I support quality goods as well, but the best bag for the environment is one you already own.
How does this compare with the Bellroy Transit Plus? I’m curious generally, with respect to carry on compliance, and comfort in particular. I’m having decision paralysis
Thanks for the great tips on travel and the sleek bags. Keep it awesome and 😎.

Check out Pack Hackers Daily 3.0 video. They drag the bag across carpet to show the lint difference between the old material and new material
Hi Chase, just an FYI: you are linking to the 2.0 travel bag in the description!
I gotta put some of my business papers in there! haha! Take care Chase!
You know its a Chase Reeves video when he says "business papers"
Go to sleep. Nah Chase uploaded... thought process
Chase, we put business papers in the business papers sleeve. Brother Chase, always hating on the business papers man.
Easily my favorite bag reviewer 😂😂
Business papers!!! Yess! 🤣
You are the funniest, best ever
Are these bags still worth getting if i still have the 2.0s? That’s my dilemma
Greetings from Sweden 😉
Background music just a pinch too loud, cheers on almost hitting 100k!
Great job - amusing as usual. Will you ever review the Atlas Athlete pack?
Yellow hat! FTW!!!
Do you miss the over handle luggage strap on the DC?
Do you out there? Have a hack?
I like the feel of ospreys for hiking. Would these bags be comparable in that sense?

Cool review. Have you looked at the MEI executive overnighter or Voyageur?
What's the brand of the yellow hat? I haven't seen that one before.
your business papers man!
can you bring this and a luggage for carryon? does it count as a personal bag?
Is this for carry-on only or could this count as a personal item?
FYI your Minaal links go to the 2.0 versions.
You could get real crazy and pull a Rodney, put all your dongles in a pouch, then put that pouch in a tech kit AND THEN put that tech kit in your back pack.

Can you fit the bigger of the 2 bags under the seat infront of you on an airplane?

I haven't done that... I rock the backpack. But it's doable for more of a messenger look.
Dude you deserve the subs!
Oh chase, was wondering when your review of this new update was coming out! :D
I wish it was still 2012 so it would still be cool to write
FIRST!!
also there wouldnt be a worldwide pandemic
Don’t worry, you’re still cool in our eyes.
Nice manoeuvres. Aaand I still don’t understand the papers reference!!! 😅
moving back to china, won't be a minimalist at that time, but after i set back up there I travel light all over that country
Does it have a shoulder strap

I don't have the budget or the need for any of these bags. I watch these purely because Chase is just a delight!
Review the CHZ 26 next.
I need a bag for college and tech. What’s the best low profile bag?
It can not go lower than a plain black backpack.
I think about the bag inside of a bag when I go to a store and buy a bag but, they put it in side of another bag so you can take it home. 🤣
And I'm expected to lug a cpap machine. Haven't done it yet...it'll never fly Wilbur
I still can't believe you like Dream Theater.
{air guitar movements}

What hat is that?
Should have been a Trump hat!!!
Tough watch
Papers....business papers.
Love the Trump hat.
Sixth!
More like COVID test papers...
Ouch... how is your Bitcoin investment going these days, Chase?
No not offended by a red hat and if I had a choice I’d take Trump over all the liberal crap right now.
What is this arguably excessive use of the word arguably, man?
