    Can you do a video with some tips on how to keep a tattoo, and the area around the tattoo clean while tattooing? I have been tattooing for about a yr, and am now not in a shop or really tattooing, but always had a bit of trouble with keeping the tattoo, and the area around the tattoo clean. Especially purple

    Hello I have a question for you I got a hand tattoo and the tattoo artist went really deep on my hand then after the tattoo was done wiped it down with alcohol now it’s been a painful week of my tattoo rising up and rejecting any moisture as soon as I even put a little it starts too bubble up I got an infection puss coming out i had too go to the hospital now my hand is scaring up what would you do in my position I’m not really a confrontational person but at the moment my hand looks ruined and I can’t bare this I did lots of research and tried different things and only Aquaphor is helping me so now it’s finally peeling after a week and I got it in Vegas at a tattoo shop and he was licensed ....

    hey guys, first of all thank you a lot for the tips and vids... it helps a lot.... i'm from french guiana and sorry if I do mistakes in my english writting....
    my question has nothing to do with the vid. I'm a little woman, being tattoing for a while... i have little arms. hands.... and I have come to a point were I have a tendinitis on my whole arm... from shoulder to the point of my fingers. can't tattoo for 1 month or my muscles will "broke".
    I bought a light machine. (65g) and rotary. but nothing to do... it hurts. I am doing anything wrong ? I really don't understand what I'm doing wrong. is it something that can happen some Times?
    thanks again for all the vids
    Lory

      I have to add that when I tattoo I dont feel any pain... that's why it get that worse. If id feel pain i would question myself and try to find à solution but it just came one day, felt i had no power in my arm and hand and at night I felt the pain for the first time...
      my doctor know nothing about our work, the way it is made and don't know how to help...

    • @FiresideTattooNetwork
      @FiresideTattooNetwork  7 років тому

      Wow. I'm sorry to hear that. I don't have a good solution out of my head as I have never dealt with tendinitis. It's strange that it doesn't bother you when you are working and only shows up later. That makes it difficult to treat, I'm sure. Hopefully some of our viewers have experience with this problem and can offer some insight. Good luck!

      if you have pain after its useally you have done to much , take a rest period with or without medication you know best, then slowly build up give you arm time to get adjusted to more activity. I think you have a high level before you are even aware that your arm hurts. Getting little breaks can help you feel if your arm is overworked you love your work and will be so concentraded that you dont feel the pain at that point. maybe somenone who can help you notice if your sitting wright to do your job could even help. I have similar problems with fybromyalgie and hernia's. i hope this can help you. Good luck!

      Fireside Tattoo Network , no worries haha..... but no need for talking even, just throw a 10 min clip up of you tattooing close up. like sullentv does, they just show the artist tattooing live but in your case a simple up close video will do for me lol. I can learn from just watching you tattoo.
      Thanks

    goddam ok first of all love the videos very fuckin educational and I listen to the fireside podcast and appreciate what you guys are doing enough that I tell the guys I work with to listen as well.
    so I was looking at this octopus and, I'm a fucking nobody and have no right to critique or question but out on the more prominent tentacle sucker, on the knuckles would there have been a way to make them look like they were popping out more without sacrificing the longevity of that part of the tattoo? idk if that made sense

    • @FiresideTattooNetwork
      @FiresideTattooNetwork  7 років тому

      Thanks a lot. I always appreciate critique. I'm sure that the front tentacles could have been rendered further but I intentionally kept them very simple because I was concerned with the healing and longevity in that area. My thought was the more simple the shape, the more likely it will read well no matter how it heals. I',m working on this clients other hand in a few weeks and will most likely go back through the octopus and see if I can render any further. Thanks again

    Hey I’ve been tattooing for about 2 years now and I’m self taught . I tattooed a friends hand and he wanted a fine line rose .
    I used a 1 RL because their was so much small detail he wanted .
    Unfortunately everything has fallen out after healing .
    Could you give me some tips on what I have to watch out for
    Thank you in advance 🤙🏼🤙🏼

    • @Jasmin-de7pm
      @Jasmin-de7pm Рік тому +1

      I’m an apprentice & from what I’ve learned is that 1RL is going to be INCREDIBLY difficult to stay long term. Hand dermis cell turnover is commonly pretty fast as compared to most other areas of skin. Best thing for detail work on hands may be somewhere around the 3RL-5RL area. You’re never going to be able to avoid fallout completely but you can use larger liners and alter the detail. Not as much detail. Crisp edges. Taking our time. Good quality ink. Good machine.

    I tattooed a simple moon on my finger a few days ago, and there are already some spots where scabs have taken all the ink out. Is there anyway to prevent this? I was thinking maybe it was the cheap ink I used.

    • @dinorocks7365
      @dinorocks7365 5 років тому

      I get the same problem, you have to think that the hand has irregular skin depth.Some parts the skin is thin, some its leathery. I know that it also stings there, so getting the right depth could be the issue, as your doing it on your self. Also the healing process is important, try to use ointment keep it from drying out. The hand is a hard place to tattoo for a begginer artist!

    • @91fox35
      @91fox35 2 роки тому

      No pro here but I always go lighter than I think I should, rather have to redo it then go too deep and blow it out, pack the color in slowly, takes longer but way less chance of a blowout or scabbing, I just done the card suits on my fingers about s week ago and they are looking great, may fade in a few weeks but like I said I’d rather go back over them than ruin them the first time around by going too heavy

    Hi mate. What extra after care if any do you give for hands. I did a realistic lion which came out really well. But the tattoo hasnt healed well at all. Just wondered if it was anything to do with aftercare as ive done quite few hands and never had problems before. Any help would he much appreciated as ive got to re do it soon and i dont want it happening again

    • @FiresideTattooNetwork
      @FiresideTattooNetwork  5 років тому

      In my experience, you just have to approach the hands and feet more deliberately. The skin is thin which makes layering difficult. I prefer to build color and texture on the hands in multiple sessions
