More than any Tull hit the lp. Heavy Horses turned me into an insane Jethro Tull fan that I am. That whole album is a well rounded, fantastically produced, work of art! I’m now 55 years old & when I was in 8th grade I had to give a speech in front of the class so I recited the song Heavy Horses. For a 13 year old to dig HH in the late 70’s was unthinkable! Oh well, the heart wants what the heart wants. Play on Martin Barre Band!!!
Better vocals than I'm used to in a Martin Barr band. Very nice. And of course seeing ol' Martin doing one of the best guitar bits out of the many Jethro Tull great guitar bits. :)
I was stood just to the right of the stage when the wind had died down a bit. Brilliant gig. My only regret is I didn’t go and meet the band at the merch tent afterwards. Great upload.
Too much better than Ian Anderson band playing Heavy Horses . It is demonstrating that Jethro Tull without Martin Barre and D Palmer and Clive Bunker is not Jethro Tull. This is the real Jethro Tull. Congratulations Martin you are my idol .
My observation is the opposite- Ian has lost his voice due to too many gaspers- this guy s voice is strong and with Martin’s excellent guitar work gives this band the edge over Ian’s weak version of Tull.
@@misterjones7929 ,disagree. I love the new Jethro Tull album. Yes,it's different but bands,as well as people change over the years. And,to me Martin's new singer sounds like a bad karoke singer.
Ian Anderson eat your heart out! - Martin wears the prog rock crown 👑!!
I think Dee Palmer’s many contributions to Tull had immense impact to some of their best albums.
So nice to see Dee Palmer again. Responsible for loads of beautiful Tull arrangements. Hats off
And tampon's too ...
This guy does a great job on vocals, fair play to you brother.
Fella singing has a Cat Stevens vibe to his voicing along with IA stylings. Cool.

Martin your band is improving leaps and bounds ..no competition of course ..congrats for all the work in making this band so tight

Great version of an awesome song. Always thought that Tull songs could benefit with some female voicings. Proof.
two songs
I've had this on vinyl for decades..
👍
I planned to go just to see this band but was in Portugal at the time. Great upload. Many thanks..
Brilliant
Martin Barres Jethro Tull the best thesedays
YES
Singer sounds like Cat Stevens..but Martin is a Beast..

Decent performance of tull music. Good front man ./singer
Great band, so much better than the Ian Anderson Tull these days.
More Jethro Tull than Ian Anderson‘s Jethro Tull.
Echoes my thoughts 😎!
saw Martin live..a master....great band...not a Tull cover band
Love that but JT is JT. And IA has done most of JT songs, if not almost all..
The ladies need to be more visible. Upfront or up on something like Eric Clapton has for his background singers.
Martin is a great guitarist but watching this singer try to mimic Ian Anderson makes me just cringe!

Me too. The movements...the bulging eyes...the head shakes. Get your own thing bro.
Agreed! singer total Cringe
Excellent. Think the fella singing is absolutely flipping, he can't help it
