@@elionsonic4695 wow well then don't expect that most people go crying and shout WHY DON'T MAKE HIM A BETTER CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT when they already did
I like how they've been portraying Bowser Junior in recent games, as someone who genuinely cares about the ones he loves. He would even go as far as teaming up with Mario to save his dad.
@@Sombra_zx Might also explain why there's a level of respect for Mario. He is taking up his father's shoes taking on the rival who's not going to pull punches because he's the son. Yeah. My favorite is how Peach references her adventure in Showtime and others mentioning what happened in Odyssey making this Brothership set after those games really brings a nice sense of continuity.
It’s moments like these that make you think about how in most Mario games, especially outside of the RPGs, there’s no one, not in the Mushroom Kingdom and not in Bowser’s army, who’s close to Junior’s age and/or treats him as normal and not as a prince or an enemy. Must be pretty lonely to be Junior.
@@Luxembourgish See my above response. Also Lemmy’s like the only one who’d be close to Junior far as age goes. The rest are much older than they look, especially Ludwig. At the very least Lemmy aside they’re more mature than their age would suggest compared to Junior who still behaves as a kid would.
I don’t cry playing games often. It is very rare for me to cry playing games. Seeing Bowser Jr and Buddy being separated at the end of the game was surprisingly emotional Bowser Jr of all characters was the emotional one
Seeing Bowser Jr getting a friend, maybe one for the first time, makes me kind of want him to get his own mainstream RPG like Mario and Luigi have with each other, heck maybe we could even get Bowser and bowser jr. Rpg, although that seems unlikely.
I'm pretty sure Bowser never had a true friend when he was Junior's age, so that's why he became evil since a young age (we can see how rude young prince Bowser is in "Partners in Time" compared to Junior), unlike his son, who has been through different life experiences, like learning about trust and loyalty from his minions and now his true friendship with Buddy. Maybe he'll grow to become a way better king than his father.
Perhaps. Jr has inherited Browser strength and leadership. Still he still consider Mario and Luigi as his enemies for respecting his dad. Even he's not much evil like his dad, he can still cause trouble for mushroom kingdom
Also is the fact that Bowser was a Orphan without any parents, unlike jr who not only have Kamek and Bowser but also a bunch of " brothers" and even all bowser minions who look up for him.
In Sunshine, Jr admits that Peach is not his mother and Bowser apologize for lying about his parentage to his own son In BIS Remake, Jr admits that he is not a good person and willing to mature to succeed his father as a King In Brothership, Jr admits that he wants a friend, a genuine friendship
Well, unlike Paper Kamek and Paper Bowser who weren't able to bear their counterpart, I think it still counts (even their boss fight shows them play challenge each other).
Even though Junior is almost fainting because of the minions possessed by Glohm in 8:23, I love the way that Kamek's unconscious body is there in the corner.
I legit enjoy how the Mario & Luigi series has been giving Bowser and his boys more screentime and character growth, especially in Junior's case. I also love how they're keeping continuity by referencing events from past games. I know people will always love the simple Mario platformers, but this to me is peak Mario.
because it is not profitabl Nintendo to abb them to everi game! Because it is done, his friend wil convence the younger one to fight to Mario and Luigi
Well in the case of this game's story, *everyone* made friends that end up separated by the end, not just Junior. Yet, Kamek's words still hold very true: "True allies are with you for life." They may separate but Junior is never going to forget Buddy.
This just made me happy. So wholesome aweee he finally has a real authentic friend everything he’s been really looking for. Sad to see the last scene hey say bye I hope they keep up with this in the future games… 😢
This character arc really elevated the game for me! I felt so bad for Buddy. All he wants is a friend and he found it in Junior. When Jr got angry at him and told him he wasn’t his friend anymore, I genuinely felt sad for Buddy! Like, that’s GOOD writing right there!
I questioned Buddy being good or bad, but he seems to care about Bowser Jr. Anyway, it’s nice that Junior got a friend, even if he was kind of disrespectful. I used to think that Koopas are completely bad, but they really aren’t, and Junior is an example of that.
I mean, the previous games have already proven that not all koopas are bad, even to an extent Bowser himself. He's the antagonist but when crap really hits the fan, he will help out if his minions are in danger. He cares about them and he also cares about his son.
They're so precious i love buddy and it was emotional seeing jr and everyone go i hope they reference this adventure well in the future its honestly the most impactful one yet to the bros and everyone.
so bowser jr is not bad he just want a friend all of mushroom kingdom judge bowser jr but he not that bad he just fell lonely bowser is very busy kinapped peach and jr alone
This game seems incredibly nuanced for a Mario & Luigi game. The only other game this deep was Partners in Time, and even then, that was only barely touched on, not even acknowledged by the game itself, but the fans who understood what we were doing was genocide.
I would agree but the cast would be extremely bloated if we add 7 more characters And we know the Dev team, if bowser has so many character they would counter balance by adding more character to main cast.
This is the second time in the mario series bowser jr is nice the first time was in bowsers fury when his dad turned into a hairy monster that reminds me of godzilla and so he had no choice but to team up with mario
@@brandr7964 Whether they were the same person or not, it still doesn’t change the fact that they got along with each other and treated each other as if they were best friends, so it doesn’t make sense for him to ask “Is this what it’s like to have a friend?” and him saying “I’ve never felt this way before” when he clearly has. Even if you technically can’t call them friends, they still acted like they were.
I loved this arc, Junior finally had real character development.
What about bowser jr's journey?
But only in The Mario & Luigi series I assume.
Too bad. The next game he will return to his old self. It's his role afterall.

What makes this more heartwarming is that in Paper Jam, all Bowser Jr. wanted to have was a friend.
