@@elionsonic4695 wow well then don't expect that most people go crying and shout WHY DON'T MAKE HIM A BETTER CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT when they already did
I like how they've been portraying Bowser Junior in recent games, as someone who genuinely cares about the ones he loves. He would even go as far as teaming up with Mario to save his dad.
@@Sombra_zx Might also explain why there's a level of respect for Mario. He is taking up his father's shoes taking on the rival who's not going to pull punches because he's the son. I mean he does happen to get more invitations to Party games as a participant in each event than Bowser does, who does the job of misfortune events.
Yeah. My favorite is how Peach references her adventure in Showtime and others mentioning what happened in Odyssey making this Brothership set after those games really brings a nice sense of continuity.
It’s moments like these that make you think about how in most Mario games, especially outside of the RPGs, there’s no one, not in the Mushroom Kingdom and not in Bowser’s army, who’s close to Junior’s age and/or treats him as normal and not as a prince or an enemy. Must be pretty lonely to be Junior.
@@Luxembourgish See my above response. Also Lemmy’s like the only one who’d be close to Junior far as age goes. The rest are much older than they look, especially Ludwig. At the very least Lemmy aside they’re more mature than their age would suggest compared to Junior who still behaves as a kid would.
because it is not profitabl Nintendo to abb them to everi game! Because it is done, his friend wil convence the younger one to fight to Mario and Luigi
Seeing Bowser Jr getting a friend, maybe one for the first time, makes me kind of want him to get his own mainstream RPG like Mario and Luigi have with each other, heck maybe we could even get Bowser and bowser jr. Rpg, although that seems unlikely.
I legit enjoy how the Mario & Luigi series has been giving Bowser and his boys more screentime and character growth, especially in Junior's case. I also love how they're keeping continuity by referencing events from past games. I know people will always love the simple Mario platformers, but this to me is peak Mario.
I'm pretty sure Bowser never had a true friend when he was Junior's age, so that's why he became evil since a young age (we can see how rude young prince Bowser is in "Partners in Time" compared to Junior), unlike his son, who has been through different life experiences, like learning about trust and loyalty from his minions and now his true friendship with Buddy. Maybe he'll grow to become a way better king than his father.
This game seems incredibly nuanced for a Mario & Luigi game. The only other game this deep was Partners in Time, and even then, that was only barely touched on, not even acknowledged by the game itself, but the fans who understood what we were doing was genocide.
I would agree but the cast would be extremely bloated if we add 7 more characters And we know the Dev team, if bowser has so many character they would counter balance by adding more character to main cast.
In Sunshine, Jr admits that Peach is not his mother and Bowser apologize for lying about his parentage to his own son In BIS Remake, Jr admits that he is not a good person and willing to mature to succeed his father as a King In Brothership, Jr admits that he wants a friend, a genuine friendship
I questioned Buddy being good or bad, but he seems to care about Bowser Jr. Anyway, it’s nice that Junior got a friend, even if he was kind of disrespectful. I used to think that Koopas are completely bad, but they really aren’t, and Junior is an example of that.
I mean, the previous games have already proven that not all koopas are bad, even to an extent Bowser himself. He's the antagonist but when crap really hits the fan, he will help out if his minions are in danger. He cares about them and he also cares about his son.
This is the second time in the mario series bowser jr is nice the first time was in bowsers fury when his dad turned into a hairy monster that reminds me of godzilla and so he had no choice but to team up with mario
I loved this arc, Junior finally had real character development.
What about bowser jr's journey?
But only in The Mario & Luigi series I assume.
Too bad. The next game he will return to his old self. It's his role afterall.
@@mariacristinalopezturner3128Here's the fun part: most people don't care about that game
@@elionsonic4695 wow well then don't expect that most people go crying and shout WHY DON'T MAKE HIM A BETTER CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT when they already did
What makes this more heartwarming is that in Paper Jam, all Bowser Jr. wanted to have was a friend.
I always picture his friends would be the baby bros.
"Is that in Paper Jam"
What's a paper jam? There's no game titled Paper Jam in the M&L series...
@ there is, it’s called Mario and Luigi paper jam.
@@PaulUrbano-h4d No...? There's Superstar Saga, Partners in Time, Bowser's inside story, Dream Team, and then Brothership

Love how they also referenced Bowser Jr.'s Journey in the dialogue
Never thought Jr would find a genuine friend.
He needs it
Never thought they'd LET Jr find a Genuine Friend.
Let’s be honest he really needed one
All things considered. His dad may be evil, but he ain’t a bad dad.
His best friend before this was his paper self
Man the fact that Nintendo is finally giving theses characters some development is awesome

They always did that since the first Mario rpg

Junior has the koopalings. Granted, most of them probably see him as a bother, but that's something.
@ The Koopalings are an elite group/mercenary squad. They see Junior as their boss’s/lord’s son. That’s all.
@@Rexaura888 The Koopalings are also kids/teenagers

My baby boy, look at him having friends ❤
It’s very wholesome to know that Bowser Junior made a friend.
The End literally made me cry. That's insane that we're now getting these Storys of the Characters with Bowser and Chippy and Junior and Buddy
Never thought Super Mario Bros. characters like Bowser & Junior would have character development but I welcome it wholeheartedly
2:53 "True allies are with you for life" hits hard
Kamek is so good looking after Jr and Bowser. The character development all 3 of them have is incredible. Makes me respect them and like them more.
Why is it that everytime Bowser Jr makes a friend they have to be separated at the end
because it is not profitabl Nintendo to abb them to everi game! Because it is done, his friend wil convence the younger one to fight to Mario and Luigi
Love Kamek being that one grandpa that gives out perfect advice
He really is old given he helped raised Bowser when he was a baby. Kamek is building as a guardian angel to Bowser and now Bowser Jr.
Please let Bowser and Bowser Jr. have their own game one day
They'd be perfect for a strategy game where the goal is to collect lands
The fact they HAVEN’T had a game for themselves is staggering
It would be really fun
But then who would be the antagonist ? Mario ? Peach ? Luigi ? Daisy ? King Bob-Bomb ? King Boo ?
@nicolasbanidol2371 if peach could have an original villain I'm sure Bowser can have one too

I think a strategy game would work better for them

Bowser Jr. now has a friend .
Bowser’s minions are like elementary school kids that like to bully the weak.

It's very nice that Bowser Jr. Has found a friend who is very nice towards him!!! 😊😁
2:39 Bowser Jr's Journey moment
I feel like jr’s been going through a lot of character development ever since Mario & Luigi BIS DX
Bowser jr has come a long way from that bratty kid we meet in sunshine
This better have continuity. Buddy should appear in future games. Perhaps in Mario Party (as a host or playable character)
It’s funny how Bowser Jr. gets more screen time and character development in the spin-off games than the mainline series.
Literally everyone does lol.
Rpgs tend to be more story heavy then platforms on average
This side quest is an evidence that the games Minion Quest and Bowser Jr.'s Journey are Canon to the Mario & Luigi series
Yay, Friendship!
Jr. with character development is just too strong
His 1st friend being named Buddy is so cute
