Beautiful location. To think it was once an active working village, kids probably playing outside, someone tending to the farm animals, people bringing wheat from the fields to be milled, the priest administering pastoral care towards the ill and dying. It demonstrates places are only as important as the people that live there. When not nature reclaims the past.
Wonderful presentation. May I suggest you carry a polarizing filter? They especially do wonders when filming through glass or water. Can even be simply held flush with a phone camera.
I need to clarify that Wharram Percy is not in "Southeast Yorkshire", as I suggest at one point. It is in the southeastern part of North Yorkshire, still in the North York Moors. I keep forgetting just how big Yorkshire is. 😇
The music in this video couldn't be further from the topic if you took a space shuttle. I would need to see your doctorate certificate and proof of med school before I believed your education Ken.
Beautiful, beautiful Yorkshire. Lovely, enjoyed that.
Great video! Love the embedded effects such as the church entrance and bell tower and the monks. Thank you.

If those walls could talk...how interesting.

The area is known as the Wolds. Further north are the barren moors.
Thank you for sharing this I wonder why the historical society doesn't put a roof on the church
The enamel sign on the building is from the NER station on the nearby long closed branch line
What were those apparently abbey ruins you passed on the way?
I forget the name, I think they figure into episodes of All Creatures Great and Small, though.
