It's okay to make fun of white people because you can't possibly offend or look down at white people so it can't be racist or even remotely offensive. But if he had said the same thing about black people, that would obviously be more offensive and racist because it's much more easier and realistic to make fun of black people and they WILL be offended, of course they would. That's why you can't be racist to white people because only they can realistically think they are better than others and it be offensive. An Asian or a black person can't possibly offend or think they are better than white people, which is why it's okay for them to make fun. /S
@violet lol u clearly read it by your response. If you truly didn't care, why would u waste your time telling someone you didn't care. If you didn't move on mate XDXD
The use of Secret Agent Man at the end was genius. Not only is it obviously titled Secret Agent Man, but it's commonly misheard as Secret Asian Man. Brilliant
I just looked this up and i can't believe i didn't know about this sooner. I would 100% show up as a student that forgot their bag at home and is now contemplating their life choices
As a Chinese person it was really nice that the guy playing the Chinese FBI agent was actually Chinese. Like not just because it would probably be extremely inappropriate otherwise, but it's mostly because he's actually speaking Chinese and some of the stereotypes are things Chinese people notice in others as well.
Ikr! They should always do this! I saw a vid with a white guy who wasn't French acting french and joking about french stereotypes, even though he wasn't French
"It's the guy in the picture who's white and looks very uncomfortable" So pretty much all my white friends whenever I joke about Asian stereotypes. Damn, I didn't know there was a jade stone theft/trafficking ring and that all my white friends were in the syndicate.
Just imagine the movie Agent Cheng: The Capture of the Jade Thief. The skit is the climax but the opening takes place in several European countries where the Chinese exhibits are being targeted by extremist groups. While Jackie Chan is a Interpol agent.
Stellar Pie there are certainly similarities between chinese and japanese culture, however they’re all leagues apart as well. simply calling asian nations “one in the same” is pretty ignorant and lowkey racist, am i’m saying this as an asian myself :/// idk maybe u need to look into history urself if ur seriously calling traditional chinese robes kimonos bc they both share distinct differences.
I cannot believe how much I was genuinely hitting my knees with this skit. Absolutely hilarious premise. I don't know, but the idea of someone using their own culture's stereotypes to their advantage and loving it is just plain funny to me.
Holy shit, I love this so much, I’ve taken Mandarin for 10+ years and I genuinely remember parts of this skit for help with tone marks and pronunciation 😭😭😭
@Max Crow "Girl from Ali mountain (a mountain in Taiwan)", aka "高山青" (High mountain green). It's a Taiwanese song, most popular version is probably the one by Teresa Teng. The beginning (what he's singing in the video) goes: "The high mountain is green, the creek water is blue". The song is actually about a Taiwanese indigenous girl and in many versions of this song only parts of the lyrics are in Chinese while the rest are in one of the languages of the Taiwanese indigenous people (don't know which one though).
idk why but this reminds me of when my brother went on a tour and there happened to be a lot of Chinese people there who didn't speak English. So my brother just translated everything the tour guide said and after the tour they all tipped him instead of the tour guide lol

Me too
Agreed! And parodowski as the straight man.
same! great concept n execution!
Take my money! I want this now!!!

As a Chinese guy, I can confirm that his Mandarin is spot on, and this is stereotypical as all hell, but it's also damn hilarious.
I can only be very thankful I wasn't drinking anything when he came out in the lion dance costume.
What is he saying the first time he leaves the group? :-D
@@zeecaptain42 "Everybody together now! Quickly, quickly!"
The spit is way too accurate. I swear every Chinese uncle took a university course on how to spit like that
He literally said "Don't care, didn't ask, plus you're white"
Yes, that is the joke, thank you for noticing.
he did not literally say that

I'm ready to see this character in his own feature film.
He was really good a operating, that probably real expensive, lion costume. holy shit

Okay but actually being a stereotype is probably the best way to blend in to a white person
True
Gonna try this
doesn't work, when it's actually true then they'll be putting the wrong stereotypes on. Know this from experience, specifically the white perspective.
