That’s a great idea. If I may suggest, I’d reinforce the welds on the tines. I’d hate to see you lose any of those times that you worked so hard on to make the rake. I’d run at least a triple pass on all of those welds. I used to weld up parts for road paving equipment, and a few of those parts were 1”-4” thick. I’d even suggest cranking up the amperage to get even better penetration. Hope this helps you.
I really appreciate your concern. I will add more weld to it in the near future. When I built it in 2014, I ran two beads in most of it (6011 as root pass toped with 7/32" E7018 EXCALIBUR). The cutting points, I layed a bead of 7018 then toped it with Lincoln ABR hard facing rods. Thank you
Hello Dennis, Its better to use ripper for tilling rocks, however, if the rake is strong and the bulldozer is big you can use it to till rocks, I witnessed D9 with root rake tilling big rocks is south Texas with no problem. Small rocks wont be a problem for small machine, however if you run hard into a big rock, you may cause some damage to the blade or other things, my bulldozer is on the small side and has a 6 way blade which is not the best setup for root rake, however, I have soft soil and I put both the bulldozer and the rake into a lot of work without any issue. hopefully this answers your question,
Hello, you actually can find good scrap metal at any of your local scrap yard, a lot of them re sale some good metal for way cheaper than buying it directly from the metal shop.

Excellent fabrication job! We are considering something here in Michigan to clear some openings in a clear cut for planting fields
Good morning, this will be the way to go, I also cleared and plowed few areas with it.
Nice rake. I need to get one fabricated for my td8. Material is high now.
It works great, my TD7 run it just fine on Sandy loam and clay type of dirt. Thank you for watching brother.
Nice job.
Thank you.

@@SalamSayhood I’d hate to see anything happen to your rake, because of all the time, labor, and money that you put into building it.

Salam Sayhood you are correct I’ve bought smaller pieces at the yard around here.
that doesn't look like Tennessee, possibly somewhere in Texas or Kansas. Hard to tell
I am from Texas. Thank you for watching.
