I also did the same! Finished this morning and praise be to God because I never thought I could ever read the whole bible. It was very hard to get through some of the Old Testament, but now, understand better the world, humans and why we Catholics worship how we worship in the TLM.
Finished doing just this today with Father Mike. Turning around and doing it with him again for 2022. I am amazed and embarrassed that I didn’t know what was between those covers. It is not enough just to read the words, it’s understanding what you read. I actually would prefer if you did the Catechism in a year.

He reads scripture and does a commentary on the readings. Wonderful! I'm a Gramma, 73 years old and was in RCIA classes when I met my future husband, who is Catholic. This was after Vatican II, so I've never experienced the Latin Mass. I did read the Catholic Bible from start to finish. But it tool me over a year to do so.
Yes I had planned on reading the Holy Bible this year! I live in Tennessee where there is no traditional Catholic Mass. I’m from Cincinnati where I attended St. Gertrude the Great Church in West Chester. Years ago before moving to Tennessee, I worked in the office at SSG for The Most Rev. Daniel Dolan. I don’t get home as often as I’d like, which makes me sad. Looking forward to your challenge Dr. Marshall. Thank you and God Bless you.
@@tomk5611 yes it is terribly difficult not having the Mass here. I worked closely with Fr. Cekada as well as Bishop Dolan. It was sad Fr C left us too soon. He did tremendous research and writings against the Novus Ordo. He is missed very much. I have 3 sisters 2 still live in the Cincinnati area and the oldest lives in Olympia WA and goes to St. Mary’s in Tacoma. My parents have passed on and are buried at Gate of Heaven in Cincinnati. I miss my family. I have a beautiful daughter who has given us two beautiful grandchildren. I teach the oldest second grade to protect her from the public school system. It’s working out well. So if it wasn’t for the children, I’d be back in Cincinnati. Happy New Year

Great idea! Several years ago I did a Bible study that lasted 4 years. We studied and prayed the Rosary everyday. At end of each year we each wrote our spiritual autobiographies. We met for discussions weekly for an hour. It was an amazing experience. Thank you for reminding me, this is my New Years resolution.

I'm a Eastern Orthodox Christian and this is a great challenge for all people. I recommend the Orthodox Study Bible which has notes from the Church fathers and the Old Testament is based on the Septuagint.

We read the whole bible with my children they read and my wife and i guided them through, it took us 2 years. Our Traditional priest was encouraging the whole parish to read some grumbled not me Yes The ignorance of scripture is the ignorance Christ. I am all for it.

I've been a member of the NSTI for years, DO THIS, Dr. Marshall's classes are the best, they will transform a pretend Catholic into a REAL Catholic. We don't know how much we don't know until we seek the knowledge. It's the best thing you can ever do for yourself.

Hi Dr Taylor Marshall, I have read the 4 gospels, I average 2 books a month on either faith or related to my work, hobbies and leadership. So I love this idea, the 1 book everyone should read. So I have printed the plan and start 1st Jan 😀 God bless and Happy New Year
Many years ago l just COULD NOT read the Bible, but after I'd undergone a Very Spiritual Cleansing, Jesus told me,,,, l didn't see Him, but He was standing right beside me, said, "Alice, read the Bible" Well, l began and l loved it so much and when l went to Mass on Sunday and Fr read the Gospel, l couldn't stop tears running down my face,,,,,,!!

I read the Bible in a year in 2020 with Fr John Hollowell. It was in chronological order. Wonderful! Can’t wait to read it again using Dr Marshall’s method. Good reading to everyone & may God Bless your life richly for reading His Word
Finished reading through the bible with Dr. Marshall's plan on 12.31.22. Learned an unforgettable truth. The Bible is difficult to understand; the Catholic Church is necessary to teach us what it means, how to interpret it. New Year's resolution this year: read through the Catechism of the Council of Trent. Do far, it's way easier to understand and I can trust it like a child to teach me The One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Faith.
Yes I did a Bible in a year podcast plus using my own at home Bible so I got a little bit more than a Bible in a year because I used both options please feel better get well and continue to love your family it was a joy to see your Christmas videos
Dr. Marshall, thank you for the reading plan. I know I should, like you said, ignorance to scriptures is ignorance to Christ. I pray that I would find the wisdom of what God wants to tell me in His word.
I have read the Bible start to finish 5 or 6 times, and parts of it hundreds of times. I doubt anyone who self-identifies as a Catholic or Christian would want to stand before God and hear Him say, "you've read many books in your lifetime. Why did you not read Mine?" Just read it. Over and over again. You will never regret it. I will pledge to read the entire Bible again in 2022. I'll check back on December 31.
The word is no boring, actually it’s the most exciting read ever I doubt anyone can be truly excited about the Lord and not be excited about his word He came to fulfill his word One good strategy is to read a chapter in its entirety and a commentary about it I’d recommend a Catholic and a Protestant commentary. No one with common since and Bible would doubt that the church the Lord started is his Catholic Church God bless

Glad i came across this video and yes i accept your challenge. My wife has been encouraging me to go to traditional Latin mass with for a long while now since we moved overseas. It has been a super long while since i have been to church in general but a Latin mass was totally different for me. And yes all these tv shows are designed to alter our reality which is why going to church Latin mass and reading the bible will get you back on the right path in life. I will also look at you other videos on how to pray the daily rosary. Thank you for the videos.

Now THAT'S a challenge...lose weight in your 50's! I started a diet at 52, lost some 17lbs but then, after a year or so, out of the blue, gained it all back and then some. Quite frankly I decided to just eat as well as I can but no more diet hunting for me. I'm 55 now and not getting any younger. I'll just keep excercising as best and as much as I can and let the dice fall as they will. I can only do so much and life's too darn short.

Just finished with Fr Mike, I like that he explained what he read bc I can read it and have no clue what it's saying.
There is great momentum with the Rosary as well.
I've been a member of the NSTI for years, DO THIS, Dr. Marshall's classes are the best, they will transform a pretend Catholic into a REAL Catholic. We don't know how much we don't know until we seek the knowledge. It's the best thing you can ever do for yourself.

Hi Dr Taylor Marshall, I have read the 4 gospels, I average 2 books a month on either faith or related to my work, hobbies and leadership. So I love this idea, the 1 book everyone should read. So I have printed the plan and start 1st Jan 😀

Many years ago l just COULD NOT read the Bible, but after I'd undergone a Very Spiritual Cleansing, Jesus told me,,,, l didn't see Him, but He was standing right beside me, said, "Alice, read the Bible" Well, l began and l loved it so much and when l went to Mass on Sunday and Fr read the Gospel, l couldn't stop tears running down my face,,,,,,!!

I read the Bible in a year in 2020 with Fr John Hollowell. It was in chronological order. Wonderful! Can’t wait to read it again using Dr Marshall’s method. Good reading to everyone & may God Bless your life richly for reading His Word
I read the Bible completely when I was in high school with my older sister. Many, many years later, I believe I should read it again

Finished reading through the bible with Dr. Marshall's plan on 12.31.22. Learned an unforgettable truth. The Bible is difficult to understand; the Catholic Church is necessary to teach us what it means, how to interpret it. New Year's resolution this year: read through the Catechism of the Council of Trent. Do far, it's way easier to understand and I can trust it like a child to teach me The One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Faith.

Yes I did a Bible in a year podcast plus using my own at home Bible so I got a little bit more than a Bible in a year because I used both options please feel better get well and continue to love your family it was a joy to see your Christmas videos

I have read the Bible start to finish 5 or 6 times, and parts of it hundreds of times. I doubt anyone who self-identifies as a Catholic or Christian would want to stand before God and hear Him say, "you've read many books in your lifetime. Why did you not read Mine?" Just read it. Over and over again. You will never regret it. I will pledge to read the entire Bible again in 2022. I'll check back on December 31.
The word is no boring, actually it’s the most exciting read ever
I doubt anyone can be truly excited about the Lord and not be excited about his word
He came to fulfill his word
One good strategy is to read a chapter in its entirety and a commentary about it
I’d recommend a Catholic and a Protestant commentary. No one with common since and Bible would doubt that the church the Lord started is his Catholic Church

Glad i came across this video and yes i accept your challenge. My wife has been encouraging me to go to traditional Latin mass with for a long while now since we moved overseas. It has been a super long while since i have been to church in general but a Latin mass was totally different for me. And yes all these tv shows are designed to alter our reality which is why going to church Latin mass and reading the bible will get you back on the right path in life. I will also look at you other videos on how to pray the daily rosary. Thank you for the videos.

Now THAT'S a challenge...lose weight in your 50's! I started a diet at 52, lost some 17lbs but then, after a year or so, out of the blue, gained it all back and then some. Quite frankly I decided to just eat as well as I can but no more diet hunting for me. I'm 55 now and not getting any younger. I'll just keep excercising as best and as much as I can and let the dice fall as they will. I can only do so much and life's too darn short.
