There will be exceptions where parking a police vehicle contrary to parking regulations or restrictions is required and necessary to deal with incidents, including scenes of collisions. I was going shopping one day and noticed a police car parked on double yellow lines outside a house. On the other side of the road were at least 20 empty parking bays. I called the police to tell them that the officers needed to move their car immediately. They obviously took no notice so I called again and said I wanted it moved immediately and was told they were taking a statement in the house. A none emergency and where dozens of holiday makers had been ticketed over the summer - I suggested they needed to refund all that ticket money to citizens who had done the same. This time a healthy looking cop came out and moved his car 4 feet into a parking bay. I asked him what he thought he was doing parking on double yellows in front of all the empty spaces. He just ignored me but I got his collar number and reported him. He had no problem walking 4 feet to the house so why did he think he was above the law?

This is from West Midlands police web site. Can police cars park on yellow lines? The Highway Code states that traffic laws apply to everyone, even police cars. The police are only allowed to stop on double yellows if they are dealing with a motorist or attending an emergency.
public service cars are exempt from traffic laws. red lights yellow lines whatever its public owned car doing a public service so they will never get a ticket or points for breaking traffic laws.

I use to work for the Brisbane City Council in Australia as an operations manager. Looks like at that station they have reluctantly learned they lesson about public filming. But will they superiors remind them of this every few months.
Looks like it, all they've learnt though is not to engage with auditors. They haven't learnt how to follow the parking regulations or how to give way to pedestrians walking on a pavement unfortunately. Also the one who recorded me on the BWV from the van needs retraining
It could be that the two civil enforcement guys are only taking orders. However if there is some shenanigans between their boss and the cops then that is serious. Has money changed hands? Is there a funny handshake at the lodge? Are they lovers? Also...if Carlsburg made squeaky gates...
If so then the company is vicariously liable for the harms done by their employees. And the company has big pockets and solicitors/claim handlers who understand this.
One reason for double yellow lines is to stop people parking where it would restrict the view of pedestrians of cars and drivers of cars view of pedestrians that's one reason why it's vital not to park on a lot of yellow or double yellow lines.
Everytime I see a police vehicle do illegal manoeuvre, I record it, get collar number and make a complaint. They drive around thinking rules don't apply to them

you the driver are then responsible to pay that ticket , not the company
Then the same thing should also apply to the police aswell if it doesn't
then that means the law is just for us /Joe public
so then they are " above the law
They've definitely been briefed .....at this time ..🙂
Looks like at that station they have reluctantly learned they lesson about public filming.
@@powertotheproletariat And crossing the road! Pedestrians have right of way the moment they step onto the carriageway.
Keep your boot on em. Cheers mate 🍻
Great work from this auditor well done at least is making them accountable
Some seem to be going in and out with a week's camping equipment even more than soldiers carry.
Police can only park on double yellows if it is an emergency or dealing with a crime
as I always say....we don't need any Police force. I am sure we can do a better job ourselves
Maybe you could ask the more rotund officers how they passed the fitness test?.
@@OncleM Do you not have any compassion or decency for Sarah's parents and relatives? Do the decent thing and change your you tube name asap.🤯🤡😡👎
One reason for double yellow lines is to stop people parking where it would restrict the view of pedestrians of cars and drivers of cars view of pedestrians that's one reason why it's vital not to park on a lot of yellow or double yellow lines.
Did you hear the car seat creaking when she got in 😆
That poor car.
Was the gate 😌
@@jglp892 Well thanks so much for that Joe - you should have been a detective 😂🤣😅😆

Everytime I see a police vehicle do illegal manoeuvre, I record it, get collar number and make a complaint. They drive around thinking rules don't apply to them
No you don’t.
@@sixcylinders6346 what makes you say that?, you part of the bacon factory??
What makes me say that is quite simply that I don’t believe what you said 🤷♂️
@@sixcylinders6346 believe it I pull them over and hold them to account, they not above the law
Great audit, PTTP. Looks like they are learning lessons, although that contractor needs to be reminded of his position and to stop causing trouble and sticking his nose into business that doesn't concern him; if the police thought you were doing wrong, they would have arrested you and slammed you up so to that contractor...get a life matey and mind your own business Pinocchio, keep your big nose out of business that does not concern you!!!!!
Thank Peppa! Yeah looks like Kolee showed them what's up lol. Yeah I'm not sure why the contractor got involved, like you say if the police were bothered they would do something about it haha
@@rickc8865 you'll have a long wait!!!!
@@rickc8865 @Rick C The reason the contractor enquired was because he has a big nose, thinks he has authority over the public and the 'right' to know everything that's going on. The sooner people like this die off, the better the world will be.
APCOA Parking
@@rickc8865 LOL Rick C - the Data Protection Act 2018 already covers all this - if you don't like being filmed in public, start lobbying against the 30 million CCTV cameras recording you without your consent.
You will find the "legitimate interest" of the data controller to record images that do not personally identify data subjects outweighs any privacy concerns, since the purpose of the collection and processing of the data is lawful and the purpose is lawful - detection, prevention and prosecution of crime.
APCOA (airline parking corporation of America) started off as a small parking off street parking organisation in the USA and spread themselves over Europe and the USA, it’s all about the money with them.
When you struggle to get out of the car at your own pace how the hell are you going to be effective and efficient in an emergency??
APCOA Parking Services for Lambeth. 👍🏻
I thought there's a fitness test for the police. Htf did she pass it?
If she needed to chase someone down a none vehicle street she's done for.
I damn well bet if Police cars get tickets they use our tax money to pay it
I suspect the parking company that you were looking for was APCOA.
And a station full of piggies - but the most hostile guy demanding your id is the lift repair man!
Sorry but you push too hard at times! That stuff about you can't read when they show you their collar numbers. I'm all for auditors testing to see if our right to film in public is being respected but maybe try treating reasonable cops in a way where they don't end up having contempt for all auditors because of petty stuff like this, maybe be content with getting across your main point. Many cops seem fine with PINAC and with auditors testing them on it.
What if you don't have your reading glasses, Police need to identify themselves nowadays you can't even differentiate them from bin men.
@@marklittler784 I agree that police need to identify themselves of course. I am not pro-police particularly, especially where they are seen to be out of line, but I am pro auditor
and I believe that there are some decent cops out there who understand PINAC and being petty on this i.d. issue is unnecessary and likely to damage decent the general view of auditors.
The i.d. can of course be listened to again and watched in the video of course.
One wedge of wood ,the gates don't work !!
Clever !!!!
Breath of fresh air: Brixton Police station recognizes, and respects the role of the Auditor...not before time; Lewisham could be an interesting turnabout, or not!?!
i take it there’s no fitness test for pcso
Funfact: APCOA Parking AG is Europe's longest-established full service parking management company. It manages over 1,400,000 parking spaces across 13 countries, and employs approximately 4,500 people. It is headquartered at Stuttgart Airport in Germany.
Squirrel watching!
You do know that most of police stations have been closed to public. You can only see some one if you have a appointment. Police in London are supposed to be 1200 understaffed.. They only do pop-up police sub stations now..
How did Ms McDonalds get in the force?
Great video thanks
I'd like to know why Openreach are allowed to put Fly posters on their green cabinets ? just because its their plant doesnt mean they can advertise on it surely
Me too - they are dark green for a reason - to blend in with the background, but with a stupid fly-posed advert on them, that's got to require planning permission, to display adverts
Why are you filming!!?
*Because I can
Yeah but why?
*Matters of public interest
What's your name
*Do i have to give it
Yes
*No I don't
Ok then have a nice day
*Bye
Excellent stuff !
They were probably told not to ticket police cars when on call, not when parked.
14.44 - 15.00 (Gate opening) sounds like a rock band warm-up rehearsal!
Did you get scared when those schoolkids walked past in case they beat you up?
As always ONE RULE FOR THEM ONE FOR THE TAX PAYING PUBLIC! Nearly run a pedestrian over and could not care less the arrogance of this lot! NO communication with you at all, just run inside for another tea break! The public do need to see all this KEEP FILMING! PINAC!
The Highway Code states that traffic laws apply to everyone, even police cars. The police are only allowed to stop on double yellows if they are dealing with a motorist or attending an emergency.
What they do is when police get a ticket 🎟 it just gers squashed
I'm betting that cop at 20:32 is not much use in a foot chase, she can barely fit in that car.
Hi
Great video once again
Did you make the complaint?
Thanks
Does she have an HGV licence? That vehicle was definitely over 7.5t...
Parking Police cars not on emergency calls on double yellow lines sounds like abuse of power whilst in public office.
Police can only park on double yellow lines when they are attending an emergency?
There seems to be more emergencies inside police stations than the rest of the country.
Its probably
APCOA parking
And the tickets issued ..
Cancelled ..
Don't you know ..
20:53 Was that the sound of her knees creaking when she got in the car?
OMG, that poor little car...hopefully it had beefed up heavy duty suspension!
Double yellow lines are there for safety. So no one should be exempt. Even in an emergency they should not park there unless they close the road off.
