    17:30 And this is where Stephen Rushton proves that he didn't look at the law or even understand it. A civil tort is not something illegal. A tort is a disagreement between two people who then go to the court to ask for a determination. Nothing to do with the law and legislation.

    • @DM-fz4nl
      @DM-fz4nl 2 роки тому +23

      A civil tort is derived from the law of tort. You don’t take legal action unless you believe someone has broken the law.

    • @TheSadButMadLad
      @TheSadButMadLad 2 роки тому +14

      @@DM-fz4nl You can use civil courts to handle cases where someone has broken a law but the police or CPS decide not to prosecute. But the main role of civil courts is to sort out disagreements or cases when one side has felt that they have been disadvantaged. For instance slander. It's not a criminal offence. The CPS and police will not handle it. So a person who has been disadvantaged has to sort it out in the civil courts. They will ask the judge to decide if they really have been slandered and to enforce the payment of the compensation they are demanding.

      Hi, could I just say that the words 'illegal' can apply to both criminal and civil law.
      A crime is obviously something illegal, the loser in a civil claim has, having lost, been found by the civil court to have done something unlawful.
      Various judges have said that unlawful and illegal are interchangeable, and that while the word 'unlawful' provides a handy way to avoid confusion between civil and criminal law, the word 'illegal', strangely, is not really helpful at all because of its unclarity. (I'm only speaking of UK law here.)

      I suspect that 'managers' are those who have been promoted way above their abilities to do the job. They know that they are a bit incompetent and attempt to hide that with bluster and bravado, they can't accomplish, either.

      And like most police and government officials, the world would not only still function without them, it would function better, and the vast majority of people would be happier and better off financially.

      Back in the 1960's upon crossing Waterloo bridge in the direction of Aldwych. I happened to see a fellow walking towards me.
      For those that may not be familiar with the location. The pavements are particularly wide with plenty of room to pass without a problem. Except the person approaching me chose a change of direction that i could see would lead to a collision. Accordingly i stopped and waited. Did he walk around me? No!
      He stated he was a manager and that i should move out of his way. I explained the error in his thought process which prompted an attempt to barge his way past me. Unfortunately in his eagerness to exert his authority over a mere mortal. He had failed to notice the heavy tool case i was carrying and walked straight into it, damaging his knee in the process. Oh dear!
      No doubt he reflected at leasure on the error of his inflated ego of self importance.
      I see that many years later those fools still exist!
      Humans will they ever learn?

      A lot has to do with British culture, surprisingly I have been told most of my working life, especially when I was younger: "You can't do that, they won't let you" . . . One if my more pleasant employments was working for an American company, who would let you do anything but the British management kept insisting "You can't do that, they won't let you" . . . That's why most of my life I have been self-employed. The 'manager' (I was going to write 'man in charge', but that is clearly DJ) is just so typical of the British heiracy in the workplace - they want to stop innovation.

    That smell is the smell of death. I worked at a place called Chettles in Ditchford, 20 years ago , which was an older but similar processing plant. I was on the wash, steam cleaning the trailers. Now that carcasses can no longer be used in animal feeds, since BSE, it is processed into bone meal that has to be incinerated. Wykes engineering in Wymington has 2 incinerators constantly burning bone meal from, here possibly, and also that is shipped daily from Ireland. They also incinerate food waste from all major supermarkets and timber from council recycling centres and generate "green energy" that is sold to the grid. I believe they may also have a place in Birmingham.

A drone can fly above a reasonable height that allows people on the property to go about their business. So flying at 70m is not interfering with their business and they are very unlikely to even notice it. What the distance you mentioned are about is interference via noise etc. So a very noisy drone (a dji mini 2 isn't) hovering 10m above someone quietly enjoying their peaceful garden can mean the pilot of the drone is trespassing. A helicopter hovering at 150m (500') would also be caught by the trespassing issue (and there are cases where this has happened). But a quiet drone at 70m is not trespassing.
