The King made a jolly joke about the weather on a trip to open the MacRobert Farming and Rural Skills Centre in Cumnock, Scotland, on Saturday.
Speaking to students who attend the rural skills insutition, King Charles was overheard asking if they like being outside, before adding "despite the weather!".
The new centre will bring new talent into the farming sector, and enable The Prince’s Foundation to host events and hands-on workshops for more than 1800 participants a year.

I love that he is so interested on visits like this - he's not just there to show his face, he asks questions and looks genuinely interested in what is going on.
Really he doesn’t work he is there to make sure he made money he is afraid to lose the commonwealth, lots of people thinks that is over this type on billionaire getting money from their taxes when a lot old peoples has no house or no food no money to survive…it is a shame

I love the King’s dedication to the environment and his support of programs that encourage sustainability. The UK is a better place because of all the hard work he did as Prince of Wales, and continues now as King.

Looking more like his father everyday. I do miss Prince Philip - I never had the pleasure of meeting him but I always imagine there was an air of heightened anticipation & nervousness when he walked into a room!!!
His majesty is getting really good at plaque unveiling. He inherited that skill from his father.
Prince Philip always kept everyone on their toes, especially the Marines.
On one visit, when he visited a ship, a great deal of preparation went into his visit, making sure everything was ship-shape.
When Prince Philip arrived, he greeted the crew, then instead of doing the dignitary tour, he insisted on being taken through the working corridors and rooms of the ship.
It must have been nerve wracking for the Officers in charge, but Prince Philip loved it, as he was himself a Marine.

@EF5Winds My SIL says the same, but also said she was grateful for an excellent doctor, who ultimately helped her with this. No C-section needed. They have a beautiful baby boy and I have a nephew to spoil and encourage. Particularly with my mad cooking skills, camping, hiking and target practice. Of course, if he had been a girl, it would be the same! Just glad that I got a nibling!!!❤❤❤

King Charles III played a significant role in the restoration of Dumfries House. In 2007, he used £20 million of his own charitable foundation’s money and personally brokered a £45 million deal to secure the house and its collection of Chippendale furniture. The idea was to create a sustainable business that would help regenerate the local economy in East Ayrshire. The restoration project was showcased in an ITV documentary called “The Royal Restoration” . Dumfries House is now owned by The Prince’s Foundation, a charity which maintains it as a visitor attraction and hospitality and wedding venue. I didn't hear the Jolly Joke though.

As an American, I thought it odd that the kids didn't stand when the King entered the room. Of course I also find it very nice that he has time to visit throughout the U.K. to see the activities.
Genuinely interested and not only stays long enough to hear an answer but asks more questions to find out about them and what they are doing. Reminds me of an old headmistress I had decades ago, she was the same and people like that are really few and far between. People who are GENUINELY interested not only in you - or your group - but in what you are doing, why you are doing it and what you hope to achieve. It's a pity there aren't more people like this, they seem to be a dying breed nowadays.
