As A Stewart I absolutely love seeing this. Thank you for restoring our beautiful Stewart history! My Stewart’s where deported by Oliver Cromwell to The States on a ship called the JonMarie!
This is a truly FABULOUS place; and the staff are wonderful, too. If you can get there, GO! Wedding, holiday, family gathering, company get-together, it matters not - just get there!
It's so nice to see the castle again - we spent a night there during our honeymoon in 2002 and I absolutely loved it. I can't wait to bring the family to Scotland and introduce the kids to Castle Stuart.
We had our honeymoon here in 1999 and really enjoyed it, we too hope to return soon for one of our anniversaries. Best wishes to the keepers of the castle we found their kindness and hospitality simply wonderful :)
Just recently traced back my family roots and found that James I of Scotland is my 12th great grandfather. Hoping to come here next summer for my senior trip. So glad to finally learn where my family comes from.
We had our honeymoon here 18 years ago and it's in our memories forever. Thanks for your hospitality and kindness and see you soon : we'll be back for our 20th wedding anniversary !
Is there a grizzly bear pelt from New Mexico in the castle? My great grandfather, Montague Stevens, said he sent one to his cousin back in England -- a Stuart who lived in a castle.
ua-cam.com/video/ZNOYJ2Eog3A/v-deo.html Cousin Camille Kateb, my good man (Tim Rioux) and I (along with 8 others and our extraordinary tour guide, Alastair Cunningham) stayed here in this medieval castle with the now famous novelist Diana Gabaldon and her delightful husband, Doug (so much like Jamie Fraser himself). We all had a grand time… visiting and feasting together at Castle Stuart. Now? Well… it’s surreal. Yes… it really happened. I never dreamed DG’s Scottish novels would become so famous as the Outlander television adaptation of her brilliantly-crafted Scottish novels. I remain so grateful we had that wondrous experience… a few years before Diana Gabaldon would become a household name for millions of followers across the world. Here’s a glimpse of where we stayed… “Welcome to Castle Stuart, ladies and gentlemen…” Dorease Rioux USA

I just recently discovered my ancestors were the Stewarts, the Earls of Moray. I will have to visit someday.

I spent a few nights there and it was marvelous. The food was great and there was a bagpiper at dinner. Wonderful place
We are Stuarts who have ended up in Southern New Zealand. I'm going to send my mum to stay there in April, and I'll be visiting soon after then.
Sadly Charles Stuart died a few years ago and the Castle reverted to the ownership of Moray Estates and therefore no longer open to visitors.
Nice! Very nice and beautiful! :D
Amazing. I wanna go... some day :)

Is this place closed now?
Check their website. They talk about a death on the Ghosts page.
it says nothing about the room that has been bricked up because of the 3 who in turn man who spent the night in there and died
As a descendant of Mary Stuart, I feel an obligation to visit this place at least once in my lifetime.
