  • Hi everyone. Been a while since I posted on our youtube channel. Emeralds…Emeralds and Emeralds. They are everywhere in 2019! But first please subscribe to our channel so you dont miss any updates when we upload another video on emeralds, ruby, sapphire or any other gemstone. If you like our video, please LIKE & SHARE now.
We will today talk about the latest created emeralds with inclusions. In the video you will learn what created emeralds are, what people are doing with this new treatment, see some examples of the Zambian and the Columbian created emeralds.
So first, what is created emeralds? They are emeralds pulled, grown from the natural emerald seed,
made in the laboratories. The process, which is secretly protected, is basically by taking a seed crystal that has microscopic inclusions and to grow this seed into a bigger one. These created emeralds from Russia have repetitive inclusions inside the stone, which means its absolutely diagonistic of the inclusions growing in the same directions. Also in a similar pattern. There is a possibility that there are multiple types of inclusions like a seed crystal, flux, fluid etc - but its rare to grow this. However people are really finding the help of technology to get this activity into the next level especially in Europe.
However a lot of people are misusing this created emerald in the trade to sell as natural emeralds, especially where they don’t have a brand or are simply also unaware of the different processes. At this point in the market, such emeralds are rarely being sold as natural emerald - but when we see a trend, we want to educate our readers and followers of what is next to come. So lets have a look at how the stones look like.
The tourists and the people who don’t understand the types of treatments that exist, should definitely buy certified emeralds only. The reason of this video is to not get fooled by the look of these emeralds and to tell in 6 seconds whether the emeralds are created or not…sometimes when the tourists walk in a store and ask whether the created emerald they have on display is natural - the sellers think hmm, this is an opportunity. So even if the intention of the sellers is NOT to fool the buyer, it could just happen because of “acceptance”.
This video is for those people who are aren’t aware of this treatment. The best thing is to get it tested - that is absolutely diagnostic. When we studied GIA in California, one of my teachers “Lea” used to say just going through the basic drills is sometimes the most important practice and the most common mistake most novices would make. So just get your certificates and avoid the scams.
For more information on created emeralds please visit: www.navneetgems.com/created-e...
Fore more information natural wholesale emeralds please visit: www.navneetgems.com/wholesale...
This video is also for those who want to save their time and be more knowledgable. I would like to say - get your emeralds tested, don’t buy emeralds from unknown sources for a cheap price. We are getting a lot of calls these days for emeralds with inclusions…especially for people who are understanding that these emeralds are grown in the laboratories and thus are ethically sourced. This has been the topic of the year: corporate social responsibility and the conditions at the mines.
Been to bagota, Columbia, Zambia - we know the mining conditions in these countries for precious stones like emeralds are still not favorable. Having said that we are trying to create good communities, buy rough gemstones from the places we know and from where we have been buying before. So guys, if you are looking for one of these big emeralds - either in Columbian color or the Zambia color, we have most of them in stock. Get your hands on them today.
We hope that this video helped you understand the difference between created and natural emeralds, educate you the new way people are using to misguide final users - and also in the hope that you will buy a fine created emerald with inclusions which people around you cannot make out at 1/100th of the price or even less of a natural one.
Kindly do share this video with your friends, like and do not forget to subscribe to this video so you can be updated about the amazing gemstone market.

I maintain that one of the best ways is to look at the emerald's 'garden' it is very unusual to find a natural emerald with absolutely no carbon spots or matrix debris from where it grew in the Earth. I have 4 emeralds, Colombian, Zambian, Siberian + Pakistani & all of them have at least one spot inside them that I saw under my jeweler's loop with some outside 'foreign body' material in them & that material goes in more than one direction inside the stone (Horizontal / Diagonal)
Or as a dealer I once spoke to put it "if you find Chaos in a stone, you have found clarity in your purchase" nature doesn't repeat itself, if there is a uniform pattern (or even multiple patterns) in the material, without variation, then it's probably man-made.

For starters, yes inclusions are a great way to say its a natural stone. Moreover, do you notice the tendency of lab created diamonds being mixed with natural diamonds, even GIA is making mistakes in recognizing, this is the reason why stones with inclusions like the Salt and pepper diamonds are famous, you can read more about them here:
And guess what they protect the environment too, because salt and pepper diamonds make 90% of the quality mother earth produces so lets not exhaust our mother. We dont only plant trees.

Some very high quality emeralds have no "jardin" ("garden"). I recently saw a certified 10 carat emerald which had no "jardin" and only a very small natural "needle" and you only could spot it when carefully watching into the stone. Also at some luxury jewelers I saw relatively small emeralds (roughly 1 carat) which had no garden or visible inclusions and of course a good color.

Emeralds are not "pulled" - they are grown hydrothermally, melting nutrient (natural low grade emeralds) in a process that deposits molten nutrient on the seed.

At this point we have reached an moment where you need a qualified individual and equipment to determine if a gem is real or not. Then why the hell would someone pay 100k for a stone if someone else can have an exact gem that is 99% accurate for a fraction of the cost? Because in the end,is not like someone is leaving the tag on that piece of jewelery so everyone can see it was 100k. There was a time before lab created gems, that having such a gem would create envy, but that time is sadly gone

@Arst Koben lab created gems no longer costs more than natural gems. A 1 ct lab created diamond from De Beers Lightbox Jewelry is valued at $800 dollars! But it doesn't have resale value. Only natural diamonds have resale value. Just take a look at auction houses results many of the white and colored diamonds have doubled, tripled, quadrupled in value in less than a decade or so.

@@pumpkindiamond994 Please. Diamonds are not an investment, you lose money on them straight away. The ones selling at the auction houses are unique and exceptions not the rule. Natural diamonds are the one of the biggest scams of our time which was created by the De Beers corporation. They choke the supply to make them seem rare which then puts a premium on diamonds. When in fact, diamonds are not rare. DeBeers chairman described them as being "intrinsically worthless".

@@AK-wb2ww you are an ignoramus spreading fake news! Lab created gems are the scams! You can spend thousands on them but they have no resale or pawn value! At least you can pawn earth mined diamonds! Diamonds have increased in value or holds their value in the long run whereas lab created gems just got cheaper and cheaper! Natural color diamonds accounts for less than 1% of the diamonds. Pink diamonds for example increased in value more than real estate! @@pumpkindiamond994 The only scam is if you're buying something lab created that's being sold as natural. I buy lab created gemstones for the pleasure of owning a gemstone that had it been natural I never would have been able to afford, and I'm not worried about resale because they were affordable gemstones to begin with. Even better, I can wear my gemstones without fear, knowing if they're lost or stolen it won't financially ruin me! There's a consumer for lab created gems, and nothing wrong with that.

The more emerald looks like synthetic (vivid green color, big carat, beautiful jardin, you name it...) the more expensive will be the price. In the other hand people do their best to make synthetic emerald like in grown in mother nature. At the end both are only a piece of jewelry, you like it just wear it... hahah...

(For rings, earrings, pendants and bracelets) Lab grown stones or natural, big or small, as long as you like what you have then that's all that matters. Either way, have it set in 18k solid gold so w/c ever stone you choose to include in your jewelry you have something substantial on because of the gold hardware used.

it blows my mind that people would willingly pay ten or twenty times the cost to get a natural stone rather than something that is made in a lab and looks even better. Our propensity to waste money this way makes no sense to me. I mean, the process for making natural emeralds uses actual emeralds to begin with. They are just melted and regrown.

Pretty sure you left out flux emeralds? They are fairly difficult to spot especially for anyone new to, or clueless about gems watching this as a guide on how to spot lab grown/fake/real emerald. Flux emeralds are not as common these days, but they are still made. It’s sad there isn’t more info or videos on them on UA-cam. Hint hint. ;)
Also. Concerning HTE, the inclusions or “fractures” tend to wiggle and wind, which is another thing to note about HTE. I felt that while saying the inclusions go the same direction is true, it is also a bit vague for a newbie to emeralds. As it implies a more direct line of travel, which isnt the case. Not trying to bust yr chops btw. But think you should definitely do a deeper dive/longer video on lab, flux and natural emeralds as there just isn’t much on UA-cam about them. And it would be informative and direct more traffic to your website.

So to me it seems like the raw emerald is becoming more important and rarer.

    • @NavneetGemsMinerals

Yes Indeed! You are right about that- and its getting more important because there is only so much supply of natural emeralds from the ground. Keep following us for more videos - do subscribe!

A lab-created emerald is a real emerald but not a natural emerald. Synthetic emeralds are some of the most expensive synthetic gems. The methods used to create them in labs require expensive equipment. The process is slow and energy intensive, and the yield of facetable material is low. Nevertheless, a lab-created emerald isn’t nearly as valuable as a natural emerald.

    Emeralds last forever... 💚

Yes, emeralds last forever. This is because, even though emeralds are fairly durable, they are not immune to damage.

Natural stones are overrated. Since people found the way to create lab stones of perfect quality natural stones mining made no sense anymore.

The top quality of Created Emerald resembles the mined gems on that level, and even gemologists cannot tell the difference without using a powerful microscope. Top Quality Created Emerald comes in the same color, inclusions, and clarity level as Natural Emerald.
