Jonas, When you are tired to be in your man-cave please write a list of your new motorparts so we other can try to catch up with you on the next tribe meeting. Its so relaxing to know that you have tried out the best… In my case i have a 964 - with many miles - which need a heavy upgrade to 3.8 L! Thanks for the best UA-cam channel - by far! //Peder
Love it how Phil from DW was advised to watch the vids in your channel and then he binged them! He did a nice shout out for you and it's great to see the same from you Jonte. :)
Yours is actually one of my favorite projects on UA-cam, I get genuinely excited when there's a new episode. Also good stuff shouting out Phil, he's how I found you, hope you guys can collaborate on some stuff.
How does this channel only have 6k subscribers?! I just binge watched all the videos in a couple of days. Amazing series and I’m looking forward to the rest of it. Hit subscribe guys! As a 964 owner, I’m amazed, intimidated and inspired by the work being done here. Your ingenuity is something else!
Loving this build your doing. 😊 So wish I could afford a 964 here in Oz to play with. So many modern improvements to be made and modern engine management may not increase BHP all that much but boy should it make it drive nicer 😊
Came over on Phil's shout out. Does the system not need a Flexi, or some kinda slip joint? I get that it's mounted to the cradle of the engine so you don't have the usual engine to chassis movement, but thermal expansion?
@@islandworks there is also something called a "beehive muffler ". They slip into your exhaust tips. Not tunable, but do reduce db's with out restrictions. I have used them on motorcycles with success.
Cool! I guess the GT3 aside from sound restriction look also quite better. I know its not its purpose but still. Also you save way more over stock 964 if you count the second muffler, original must be about 40kgs at least! Crazy.
The key is cleanliness. Everything must be sterile inside and out. It’s a good idea to backpurge with stainless tubing to avoid sugaring. I still have a lot to learn, but I managed to weld for Singer for a while. An amazing opportunity and something I’m very proud of. Tig welding is a worthwhile skill to learn regardless of the steep learning curve.
I would add the little silences straight away, you are on the limit anyway, a quieter car is always better to drive (less driver fatigue) and getting kicked off a track is a huge waste of time and money. 👍 Good work as usual.
I think flipping the backbox 180 and having the tips come out of the number/registration plate recess would look cool! Literally 0 advantage tho 😂 unless you wanted to split hairs with shorter runner to the backbox etc
@@islandworks ahhh didnt think you was running them being a track car, well theres that idea then 😅 also just an idea, if its a flying db reading and not a static they do, you could cut some pie cuts and have the tip s face down, helped alot with my r34
Looks really nice 👍 A bit surprised that theres so short secondaries. Ive gotten the impression that secondaries are equally important for the scavenge. But I can see how theres a problem fitting longer exhaust 😅 Atleast you now get longer secondaries than with the gt3 muffler.
Great work! Very nice of you to give Phil a shout out; his channel is actually how I found yours. Been subscribed ever since. Cheers.

Garrett and Precision make some great exhaust silencers ;-)

Just found you - thanks to Mike at Rennch.
Loving this first up - now to watch them all.........lol
Enjoy!
Great looking exhaust. I would have added the TT pre mufflers (since you already bought them), or 100/200 cell sports cats.
Just came from Drift Works channel...now subscribed👍😎😁

That is a very nice comment. Thank you very much!
I look forward to the suspension video because you did tell us that you have something extremely special up your sleeves
Looks great! Can't wait to hear it.
Me too Todd!
That's a nice looking exhaust system. Looking forward to hearing it.
Me to!
Really enjoy your channel. You are a born educator. Keep up the great work.
That’s very kind words. Thank you!
Keep up the good work! Let's hope that the parts you are waiting for will arrive soon, so we don't need to wait that long for the next episode.
I hope time and part allows me to get the next one out shortly 👍🏻😄
Straight out of Sweden
Indeed, but with British exhaust!
Great videos, since I found your channel I always look forward to a new one! Can't wait to see more of the engine build!
Perkele snyggt!! I really enjoy your vids Jonas! Please keep making them! Hat comes off 🙏
Jag kunde inte sagt det bättre själv. Grymt nöjd!
Can't wait to hear it
cant wait to hear this set up, i have the GT3 set up with Rothsport headers but there is a drone that can get irritating on drives.
Very nice. Quality as always

Great work, as always. Love the build!!
Stunning!
Great build videos. Have you been able to start up the engine with the TT exhaust and get dB measurements?
Not yet…
Nice. But why don’t u use V band clamps? I’m just curious
Terrific video thank you
I wish I did actually. Maybe I can fit it now?
@@islandworks it just makes it so easy to remove pipes. I like watching your videos. Thank you!!
Another great video, loving your work! Looking forward to seeing the suspension video already, my guess is a Tractive system?!
Thanks! It will be something new ;-)

There is some flexibility in the collectors as well as the mount to the engine mount is flexible (wide piece of sheet metal).
Great exhaust set up! Are you eventually considering turbo-ing your car?
This car will unlikely go turbo
Love your channel
Me to ;-)
Have a you thought about using twin supertrap muffler tips. You can tune the sound and performances.
I used to have a supertrapp on my super motard bike many years ago. They are nice!
@@islandworks there is also something called a "beehive muffler ". They slip into your exhaust tips. Not tunable, but do reduce db's with out restrictions. I have used them on motorcycles with success.

I do really like the one I ended up with and everything has is charm of course. Original exhaust is a beast!
Amazing!
Love it... Nuclear option become a politician and change the law!🤣😂
Super knowledge 👌
håller du till på öckerö?
Ja
TIG is not an easy skill, I'm teaching myself aluminum now then on to stainless. Keep it up!
It’s tough man! But I’ll get there eventually!

@@Russell_and_Rosko that can not be underestimated as it seems. One step at the time and I’ll pick it up eventually.
how do you know if the tips will be in the middle of the body of the car?
I just measured side to side so that it sits in the middle of the engine. That’s also the middle of the car.
I would add the little silences straight away, you are on the limit anyway, a quieter car is always better to drive (less driver fatigue) and getting kicked off a track is a huge waste of time and money. 👍

Regardless of which I will make sure it's fabricated so I can switch at the dyne run! I have all the bends and everything already.
@@islandworks Ska du regga denna för vägen också, så är det väl 84 dBA som gäller
@@tommyymmottommy jag tänker att det brukar vara mer flexibelt på det.

I think you should put catalytic converters in it. Even racecars should have it and it will help you get the exhaust quieter.
I might end up doing that in the end.
I know 95 dB seems low but my local track (in France) has a limit at 90 dB...
103dB at NCM - which is also considered low
I can offer to speak to the local politicians if you think it helps :-)

Atleast you now get longer secondaries than with the gt3 muffler.
It’s not a lot of space in there 😅. I have a feeling this will work well though.
I'm gonna go with none of that setup meeting 95dbA... 😬

@@msitpro1 I’m quite confident it will get bellow 95 considering I was bellow before with my previous setup. Let’s see!
