Very cool hotel. Was so hard finding hotels for a family of 5. So nice to see hotel/apartment like that exist. Looks very modern too. I would totally stay there. You’re doing a great job reviewing these unique hotels.

Hey Kelly! Have you guys ever tried the "Romantic Train" in Kyoto? If not, you totally should next time you're there! My friend and I took the train and then we took a river boat ride back-- it was a wonderful experience. ☺️

Kelly, this video brought back many memories of my trips to both Kyoto and Nara! I've been to Kyoto about 10 times and Nara only about 3 times. That hotel that you stayed in was pretty cool. Your fiance is very knowledgeable about Nara and Kyoto; and he seems to be a very cool dude, as well. Your travels to both of these great and ancient cities makes me want to come back to Japan very badly! I want to live in the Kansai area again, I lived in Osaka many years ago. Thank you so much for sharing your trip with us. Looking forward to seeing more videos. Take Care. Peace.

Kyoto is amazing but I've mostly been there in the summer during peak tourist season and it's so hot & crowded. I went once during cherry blossom season and it was breathtaking and far more peaceful than July/August. I'd like to go someday during 紅葉 though.

As a former JET teacher who lived in Japan for 3 years (now living in Hawaii), I love the Kansai region and I especially enjoyed the segment on Nara. Todaiji is one of my favorite places so watching this was so natsukashii! Man I wish we had UA-cam back when I was there. I did recently dig up and upload a couple JET related videos to my account. But nothing at all like the great content you've apparently worked so hard to produce. Well done and from what I gather from some of the comments I read congratulations are in order. Omedetou gozaimasu!

This may sounds racist, but it’s more of an observation. I love that the Caucasian girl from Pensilvania sounds like she has a Japanese accent. Makes me wonder how long she’s been there and makes me want to ask her all sorts of conversational questions to see how converted she is or something like that. I think it’s cool and watching this makes me even more excited for my Japan trip next year and the two days we’ll be spending in Kyoto.

I believe she said 11 years. My grandmother learned English as a teenager, but as long as I’ve known her (she was late 40s when I was born) she has never had an accent, some people really adapt!

I live in East Coast, State of Maryland, and my backyard has some deers roam around. I noticed deer has two color skins. In summer, the skin turns yellow and winter its skin turns grey. We never touch the deer since they will run away from us. Plus, we might get tick from the animal.
