Very cool hotel. Was so hard finding hotels for a family of 5. So nice to see hotel/apartment like that exist. Looks very modern too. I would totally stay there. You’re doing a great job reviewing these unique hotels.
Hey Kelly! Have you guys ever tried the "Romantic Train" in Kyoto? If not, you totally should next time you're there! My friend and I took the train and then we took a river boat ride back-- it was a wonderful experience. ☺️
I loved this! I thought I was watching a PBS Special. Lol. Ryuji and you make a great team. I love that he tells all the history of things. Great vlog!
Kelly, this video brought back many memories of my trips to both Kyoto and Nara! I've been to Kyoto about 10 times and Nara only about 3 times. That hotel that you stayed in was pretty cool. Your fiance is very knowledgeable about Nara and Kyoto; and he seems to be a very cool dude, as well. Your travels to both of these great and ancient cities makes me want to come back to Japan very badly! I want to live in the Kansai area again, I lived in Osaka many years ago. Thank you so much for sharing your trip with us. Looking forward to seeing more videos. Take Care. Peace.
Kyoto is amazing but I've mostly been there in the summer during peak tourist season and it's so hot & crowded. I went once during cherry blossom season and it was breathtaking and far more peaceful than July/August. I'd like to go someday during 紅葉 though.
I have major allergies and chronic issues and I totally understand the food struggle. Even in the USA. I am dairy and gluten free and it’s so hard to eat out!!
As a former JET teacher who lived in Japan for 3 years (now living in Hawaii), I love the Kansai region and I especially enjoyed the segment on Nara. Todaiji is one of my favorite places so watching this was so natsukashii! Man I wish we had UA-cam back when I was there. I did recently dig up and upload a couple JET related videos to my account. But nothing at all like the great content you've apparently worked so hard to produce. Well done and from what I gather from some of the comments I read congratulations are in order. Omedetou gozaimasu!
Is it just me or have you upped your "happy voltage" since being joined by Ryuji (SP)? Well done video as always. You are so easy to listen to. Blessings.
This may sounds racist, but it’s more of an observation. I love that the Caucasian girl from Pensilvania sounds like she has a Japanese accent. Makes me wonder how long she’s been there and makes me want to ask her all sorts of conversational questions to see how converted she is or something like that. I think it’s cool and watching this makes me even more excited for my Japan trip next year and the two days we’ll be spending in Kyoto.
I believe she said 11 years. My grandmother learned English as a teenager, but as long as I’ve known her (she was late 40s when I was born) she has never had an accent, some people really adapt!
I thought she spoke in nuance with the Japanese language. She was a little sing songing and used her hands. You can tell she is extremely immersed in japan and with the Japanese language.
Amazing video. It's so nice to see you two together, you look so happy. Thank you for all the tips, I'm planning to go with my husband but in the cooler months. Do you think 7 days is enough to enjoy Japan?
Kyoto is one of my favourite places on Earth 😍❤️ Also Nara deer are insanely confident with people haha the way that deer stood up omg that is attack mode 😂 you captured Kyoto and Nara perfectly!!
I live in East Coast, State of Maryland, and my backyard has some deers roam around. I noticed deer has two color skins. In summer, the skin turns yellow and winter its skin turns grey. We never touch the deer since they will run away from us. Plus, we might get tick from the animal.
I'm so happy for you and Ryuji..to enjoy your love of Japan and love of your life is special..I love your videos because they are real and you give really great travel tips..one day I will visit with my granddaughter😊 and the loves of my life ... My daughters👩👧👧 and awesome boyfriend 😎to Kyoto and Nara..... in 1978 on a family vacation I ate Robata Yaki went to the Silk company where they make Kimonos and of course to Nara deer Park.
7:32 I love the sound of "Japan-Summer" . My boyfriend and I went to Japan last year in August and it was hot ... hot ... hot, but seriously i fell more in love with Japan, it is just a beautiful and interesting country. Now I wanna learn japanese and maybe someday I will be able to see more from this wonderful place in the world.
That’s a super cool hotel! I’ll remember it 😊 Cooking is fun anyway! I love trying new recipes. What are some of yours and Ryuji’s favorite Japanese recipes?
Do many of the local people speak English , and do restaurants have menus in English, if not can you recommend a translation app, or are there local English speaking guides to hire, thanks
Though I loves Kyoto it was harder to get around than Tokyo. And in Kyoto you can’t get bacon and eggs. They just don’t do breakfast like I in America.
Tim, are you serious? Kyoto, has an excellent bus and train system. The "Roku" bus system is great. The Japanese food in Kyoto is fantastic. Who goes to Japan to eat American 'bacon and eggs'?
I went to nara in july/August of 2015- it was extremely hot and the humidity was really bad. My son accidentally left my bag of souvenirs at the grocery store near the station 😔
Welcome to Japan! i found it called Mamejika shokudo (or Mamejika kitchen). Here it is: www.mamejicakitchen.com I hope you will have a great time in Japan:)
What great video and nice couple u guys are ... if come Japan can meet you and ur boyfriend? ... I’m From OC in California.. just one lunch With u guys .. if ur not too busy
Various food companies in Japan manufacture and distribute the products containing Fukushima products from Fukushima. If you travel to Japan, you will eat Fukushima food even if you don't want to eat.
Do you know the radiation level in Fukushima is about the same as Seoul? Fukushima 0.130 micro sievert vs Seoul 0.125 micro sievert. Both harmless level to human. You can google it to check. Be more scientific.
@8:45 ish, I was like, OMG, there is a really hot guy right next to you! I went to press pause and realized that he is yours... I thought he was behind you.
Hi can you personally email me with the information on where you traveled to where you stayed prices ect. Were looking to travel to kyoto in febuary.thanks
I prefer living in Japan over Korea because the Korean words look too similar for me to learn as well as to memorize or remember. At least many of the Japanese kanji aka Chinese characters makes sense to me.
I think Elsa speaks English with a more Japanese accent now. Very interesting after living in Japan for 11 yrs
so, I understood the reason why I heard her easily.
I hope you stay together for a long time 💖
Haha thanks!!! 😆
The Love of my life 💖

I'm so glad that you're extremely happy and going to be married! 💜😊
This video is awesome, you guys did an awesome job showing the beauty of Japan and this video keep up the good work.have a great week 🍀🍀🍀🍀
Thank you very much!
The American lady really sounds like she has a Japanese accent sort of hahah
She really does.
My gf and I are planning a 3-4 week trip to Japan next year. It’s my dream! Your videos are super informative and interesting :)!
I’m glad!
I loved this! I thought I was watching a PBS Special. Lol. Ryuji and you make a great team. I love that he tells all the history of things. Great vlog!

7:34 Sound of summer yes, but mostly the sound of fear incarnate. Great shots of Kyoto btw! Takes me back to when I was there ❤️

I can realize I live in a great country because of your video.
Thank you!
Loved how you showcased Kyoto! I also stayed at an apartment hotel in Kyoto, but the one you stayed at looked amazing!
Ya they’re becoming quite popular!
Is it just me or have you upped your "happy voltage" since being joined by Ryuji (SP)? Well done video as always. You are so easy to listen to. Blessings.
Thank you!
I love hauls of Japanese shops. I’m too old to go at 62. I love watch what you do and places you go.
Amazing trip.!It recalls me the experience that the first time I came to 奈良.
Omgosh. Deff one of your best vlogs so far! That hotel mobile phone thing blew me away and the deer were hilarious!
Thank you for the wonderful video! Please come to Kyoto again! 😊👍
Gotta admit this place sounds awesome.
Wish I knew about it when I went to Kyoto with family.

She has a very strong American accent to me.
welcome to japan
楽しんでください

Thank you very much for this video highlighting this apartment hotel. My friends and I are planning to visit for our 50th birthdays in September 2021
It looks so lovely there! Hope you had a great time! 💖💖
Been to Kyoto for my honeymoon, obviously my most favorite city in the world.
Its sooo beautiful in the summer. Too bad I'll be going in the winter lol but it's gonna be fun regardless 😊
What eyeliner did you use? It held up really well especially at 100 degrees. Love the video!
I did a very similar trip to Kyoto in January 2016. It was the opposite, very cold but no tourist at all hehe absolutely loved it!!
Kyoto is one of my favourite places on Earth 😍❤️ Also Nara deer are insanely confident with people haha the way that deer stood up omg that is attack mode 😂 you captured Kyoto and Nara perfectly!!
Thanks Marianna!
I live in East Coast, State of Maryland, and my backyard has some deers roam around. I noticed deer has two color skins. In summer, the skin turns yellow and winter its skin turns grey. We never touch the deer since they will run away from us. Plus, we might get tick from the animal.
Awesome vid Kelly!
Deers are super cute! and the trip with u two is so cute and funny hahaha
this was so good! I wanna go back to Japan even more now also I got 100th like wooo
Had best day of my life while I was working near Kusatsu near biwako. Kyoto is just an amazing and romantic place in my opinion.
Awesome video. I was there few months ago all the places that you visited 👍
What are collars around some of the deer's necks for?
I was in Kyoto about 30 years ago. Hopefully I can go back from Canada
The first touristy thing I ever saw in Japan was Nara Park and Todaiji Temple. Amazing place
One day I’ll be there! I’ve been waiting for this video!
Yay!
I live in Dallas TX and the most historic place here is where they shot JFK
Great video very informative thank you.
Nice hotel, loved the deer in the beautiful park
When the two deer stood up on their hind legs, without even thinking about I actually said, "oh dear" out loud. 😂
7:32 I love the sound of "Japan-Summer" .

Thanks to share your hollidays in Kyoto! I definitively want to visit with my son one day! Blessings 🙏🙏to you and your lover from 🇨🇭
That’s a super cool hotel! I’ll remember it 😊
Cooking is fun anyway! I love trying new recipes. What are some of yours and Ryuji’s favorite Japanese recipes?
Elsa sounded more japanese than Pennsylvanian. She almost sounded uncomfortable speaking english. She definitely is a nervous person
Do many of the local people speak English , and do restaurants have menus in English, if not can you recommend a translation app, or are there local English speaking guides to hire, thanks
It's nice to see you enjoying life.
the deer in nara chased my mom with her food....i was like "dont run!" lol
Adding that hotel for the subsection for Kyoto on my someday list 😁
You guys are so cute!!
I thought it was weird that you returned the toaster ourself to the reception desk lol
Would you recommend staying in Gion if it your first time or is there a better area?
Though I loves Kyoto it was harder to get around than Tokyo. And in Kyoto you can’t get bacon and eggs. They just don’t do breakfast like I in America.
Haha yes! Well they have western style restaurants
Tim, are you serious? Kyoto, has an excellent bus and train system. The "Roku" bus system is great. The Japanese food in Kyoto is fantastic. Who goes to Japan to eat American 'bacon and eggs'?
Travel to Japan for an American breakfast? Whythat makes sense!
Just caught up with your vids and get this one as well tonight. Can't wait to see more of Japan through your eyes ^_^
Thanks for watching!
You make such a beautiful videos, huge fan ❤️
The deer🦌 are so beautiful...

You should!
Don't know why but this exact thought has been lingering in my head for months now.
I'm even prepping by learning the language.
Meee toooo 😊👋
there is a wound on the thumb ??
Thank you for coming to Japan🥰
Love this! Thanks for sharing 👍🏻
You guys are a great couple
Can u get Popsicle and fudge sickles and creamsicles and dream sickles in Tokyo ?
I really like the pants you are wearing in the beginning of the video Kelly, where did you get them?
I went to nara in july/August of 2015- it was extremely hot and the humidity was really bad. My son accidentally left my bag of souvenirs at the grocery store near the station 😔
On late shopping day in Britain Shops close at 7 pm and the rest of the week they close at 5 pm. 😉😋
I have food allergies too and I usually don't eat out because my Japanese is at level 0. Please can you do a Japanese food related video?
love your white shirt! where to get?
素晴らしいホテルですね
Went to Nara last March. Fed the deers. One of the deer kept following me throughout Nara Park and kept licking my hand 😂
We want wedding videos!!!!
We just got engaged 😆 what happened to being engaged for a while nowadays haha
What is the customary to tip at a Japanese restaurant?
They don't accept tips, it's considered rude... or so I've heard.
Great place to stay. I often stay in hostels so I can cook due to food intolerances.
The most historic place in my city is old town, San Diego!
Anybody know the name of that ice cream shop in Nara? We are planning a trip there soon, and it looks like a great stop!
Welcome to Japan! i found it called Mamejika shokudo (or Mamejika kitchen). Here it is: www.mamejicakitchen.com I hope you will have a great time in Japan:)
京都はいいところですよ♪またきてくださいね♪
Hi natives, Is it easy for you guys to understand English with Japanese accent? I’m interesting in it.
Can you work and live there at the hotel
You can work there if you’re fluent in Japanese or very good at it but you can’t live there lol
OMG! Melonpan
The must visit place in india is Qutub Minar and Taj Mahal.
I notice something but i dont say it, congratulations!
She gained weight
Does melon pan not contain eggs?
Anything that has eggs baked in is fine. I don’t react to baked egg.
What great video and nice couple u guys are ... if come Japan can meet you and ur boyfriend? ... I’m From OC in California.. just one lunch With u guys .. if ur not too busy

For a group not for one person 😂 a family or group of friennnndddss
Girl and her allergies must be so much fun.
Thanks Kelly(๑>◡
Can u film with no make up on! Haven’t seen you without make up
You must not have watched my channel then 😆
LoveLyzKelly ...yes I did! It’s just a suggestion!
What happened to your thumb?
As far as you've lived in Japan for several years, you had better pronounce Kyoto correctly as kyohto, not kiyoto.
The most beautiful country in the world? Girl, what ya doing in Switzerland?? Ha ha!😅😅😁
