This is one high school stereotype I have to agree with: the mean cheerleaders. I cheered my freshman year and refused to continue throughout high school (despite loving it) because the girls were so freaking mean and I knew I would've been miserable. High school in itself is very cliquey but cheerleaders are def the worst.
I feel like sadly many girls experience some level of an Abby in high school and these girls sound like the definition of "FAN BEHAVIOR". Sav you're so successful and living your best life! perioddddd ❤️

This story reminded me sm of my hs cheer experience just full of petty girls. All my teammates would tell me she targeted me because I was the only one who wouldn’t stand up for myself but it’s scary!!!!!!!!

I was a varsity cheerleader from freshman to junior year. I had some stuff like this go down at the end of my junior year so I ended up not cheering my senior year and honestly I don’t regret it.

i’m experiencing the same thing but as a freshman in a softball team, all the seniors talk or make faces to each other when i do anything and this one girl always has something to say just about me but tries to direct as if it’s about everyone. it’s super annoying. they all have their own groups and always talk mess about the freshman.

I can relate but it was sports training. I never really felt like I had friends in the group. Once you get out of high school non of it really matters. For the girl that felt left out or the people who were popular. It’s just sad that some people feel the need to ruin or not let someone feel welcomed during your 4 important years of your life. I’m on a high school dance team right now just trying to get through it for my senior but it is very stressful and depressing and there are moments where you just wanna cry cause of everything and feeling left out.
I went through a similar situation except I was in band and not cheer. Sadly for me it was too toxic and stressful for me so I had to stop going. The main director for band did not let me get out because i was too good to quit but he did not try to resolve the issue at all. So I just stopped going and never stepped foot into the band hall again which hurt because I had so many good memories there.

I completely understand how you feel, I did cheer my freshman year last year, and most of the girls just find a reason to hate you, I only had a couple girls I could talk to, and I always felt alone, but even if I had someone to talk to, I never trusted them 100%, I went to tryouts this year but ended up leaving on the second day, it’s just a sport filled with a lot of drama and it’s only meant to be fun if you’re actually popular.
I was in dance in high school but we were a pretty tight knit group. We had drama here and there but nothing like this. But the cheerleaders were always dealing with foolishness. Looks like that’s everywhere. I’m glad you found your voice. But me in high school... I would’ve gone off on her 😂 like girl you’re not about to keep sitting up here painting me out to be someone I’m not and causing unnecessary mess. Leave me ALONE! When you are in highschool, your school, sports, friends, etc. are your world. So you shouldn’t apologize or feel childish at all for being hurt by these things. I cheered 4th-12th grade and middle school and especially high school cheer can be so toxic. Drama and talking crap, laughing when girls get dropped, excluding people, and the fact that bases would call the flyers heavy all the time. I loved the sport but once i got out I realized how bad it was on my mental health and body image. I and do be a high school cheer coach one day so hopefully I can stop other girls from having to go through the same thing
Most of this is really messed up. At least when my stunt group hit we would get a cheer from it the other girls even if we don’t like each other. The whole part of being on a team is to be a team you have to support each other otherwise a team can’t function and it’s really ridiculous the things that you had to go through during your senior year because just like you I trade out my senior year and so I can kind of relate to you a little bit.
Also, I am not trying to portray that I wasn’t in the wrong at all. I definitely played my part. Just telling this story for entertainment!

i know im kind of late to this video but let me just say: omg that girl abby is terrible! the fact that she was a senior and a leader on the team and she treated you this way... unacceptable! i am one of the cheer captains at my school and i am a rising senior this year and this whole story blows my mind. the fact that all of this happened to you is so crazy and i'm sorry you had to go through all of this!! cheer can definitely have a lot of drama. but thanks for sharing your story because from this, i am definitely learning how to be a better captain and handle petty situations like this in a mature way (which you totally did). so thank you!! and i also loved watching your cheer videos when you were in high school!
wow i cant believe how ballsy they were with their pettiness. I totally understand their frustrations as someone who was on a team from 7th grade through senior year I cant imagine someone else taking the place of someone I was on a team with (who i considered my second family) on our last year together as a team. but we never would've been so rude and unsupportive of someone on our team.
i remember during that time, in those cheer grwm videos i commented something like she’s living her best life and i’m jealous or something... now realizing we were going through the same thing, at the same time😳 i’m sorry this happened, ifu in so many ways i got so emotional towards this cause it brought me back to that time but i was also feeling for you. i’m glad you’re in a better place and past this

i’m experiencing the same thing but as a freshman in a softball team, all the seniors talk or make faces to each other when i do anything and this one girl always has something to say just about me but tries to direct as if it’s about everyone. it’s super annoying. they all have their own groups and always talk mess about the freshman.
girl I literally quit my high school cheer team before my senior year bc of all these same kind of little things. Like no one talked one talked to me or took pictures with me or invited me to anything then posted a tik tok joking about the score of a football game and everyone hated me and the coaches had it out for me the entire rest of the year 😃😃

I can relate but it was sports training. I never really felt like I had friends in the group. Once you get out of high school non of it really matters. For the girl that felt left out or the people who were popular. It’s just sad that some people feel the need to ruin or not let someone feel welcomed during your 4 important years of your life. I love how Sav did so good at being the bigger person.

I’m very proud of you for sticking threw all that mess, I know how hard it can be, when girls give you a hard time. Girls never liked me, especially in high school, they always had something to say about me, were always talking some kind of crap, and even tried “steeling my bf’s”. It was pretty ridiculous. Especially because most of the girls were my best friends at the time. “ pretending to like me” but talking behind my back. I’m sorry you had to go threw this, you didn’t deserve it. Anyway ily💕✨

I’m on a high school dance team right now just trying to get through it for my senior but it is very stressful and depressing and there are moments where you just wanna cry cause of everything and feeling left out.
I went through a similar situation except I was in band and not cheer. Sadly for me it was too toxic and stressful for me so I had to stop going. The main director for band did not let me get out because i was too good to quit but he did not try to resolve the issue at all. So I just stopped going and never stepped foot into the band hall again which hurt because I had so many good memories there.

I completely understand how you feel, I did cheer my freshman year last year, and most of the girls just find a reason to hate you, I only had a couple girls I could talk to, and I always felt alone, but even if I had someone to talk to, I never trusted them 100%, I went to tryouts this year but ended up leaving on the second day, it’s just a sport filled with a lot of drama and it’s only meant to be fun if you’re actually popular.
I was in dance in high school but we were a pretty tight knit group. We had drama here and there but nothing like this. But the cheerleaders were always dealing with foolishness. Looks like that’s everywhere. I’m glad you found your voice. But me in high school... I would’ve gone off on her 😂 like girl you’re not about to keep sitting up here painting me out to be someone I’m not and causing unnecessary mess. Leave me ALONE! I’m glad you got through all that and you’re happy now!! ❤️

I want you to know, it doesn’t matter how long these girls cheered together. You were apart of that team, and for them to exclude you in anyway is immature & wrong. When you are in highschool, your school, sports, friends, etc. are your world. So you shouldn’t apologize or feel childish at all for being hurt by these things. I’ve been in your shoes, I’ve seen other girls in your shoes and normally the girls that act mean are just jealous. i feel you, i cheered all of school and stopped my junior year bc the girls were so mean and petty, i was a freshman and made varsity so they made it seem like i didn’t deserve it and stuff. it was hard bc i was left out a lot to the point i dreaded cheer and had like 1 or 2 girls i could actually talk to but ofc they had their other friends i definitely regret not cheering my senior year just bc i loved it sm but the girls made it hell /:
i did play soccer also and my soccer team was really supportive and fun, highlight of high school for me 😂

I cheered 4th-12th grade and middle school and especially high school cheer can be so toxic. Drama and talking crap, laughing when girls get dropped, excluding people, and the fact that bases would call the flyers heavy all the time. I loved the sport but once i got out I realized how bad it was on my mental health and body image. I and do be a high school cheer coach one day so hopefully I can stop other girls from having to go through the same thing

Most of this is really messed up. At least when my stunt group hit we would get a cheer from it the other girls even if we don’t like each other. The whole part of being on a team is to be a team you have to support each other otherwise a team can’t function and it’s really ridiculous the things that you had to go through during your senior year because just like you I trade out my senior year and so I can kind of relate to you a little bit.
