I hope they keep making these. Total badass machine
Can-Am Defender 6x6 fan boy here.
Going shopping. My fantasy build is at $60,000 and constantly rising.
Not having "turf mode" was not due to cost, it's because it is impossible. Without directional rear tires (either axle) the 4 rears are going to fight each other during turns.
For hauling supply's & materials to a cabin in Alaska this with a cab would rock.
For someone working hunting land for management this would be awesome. Haul blinds and stands. Packing out deer and such would be a breeze.
IDK man. i think you opened up that tailgate with one hand like a boss!
Lol
Would make a great work horse around the farm.
For sure.
I would like to see terf mode. Would be great for doing fire wood but in order to get the fire wood to my walk out basement I need to be on my lawn. And would rather not tear up the lawn. And the 6x6 would be great for the amount of water we have had this year.
I was also disappointed when I found out both rear axles were locked full-time and did not have an open differential mode / turf mode. This wheeler isn't exactly cheap and for a few more bucks I think it would have been much more versatile with locking rear differentials.
thanks for a well done, informative video. This is probably very likely to be the type of vehicle I will be buying. How about trying to get your hands on some of the new Argo’s. Thanks, this was very good.
Not a problem. We have a lot of coverage on ARGO products over the past few years. Anything in particular you are looking for? We also have a review on the Xplorer 500 coming soon.
Amazing. Killer ride
All that 'extra" space inside the rear frame could house a second fuel tank. That would extend the range of the Defender immensely. And when you're working and or playing, isn't range a good thing? Drop the sides off that thing, mount your shooting bench, and go deer/coyote/varmint hunting off the back. Throw up some camo on a small frame on the sides, instant deer blind. Friggin' cool!
Can-Am needs to send me one so I can deuce and a half it, like now...!!! How cool would that be.
the back of the frames look like you could add more sections and make a 8x8 or 10x10
6 seat xmr version would be nice!
I know its asking alot but 6 wheel steer aswell. Probably would cost 40grand though lol.
You're probobly talking 50.
Wow
always quality content guys!
If you were wondering how to haul the lumber up the mountain for that cabin build, I think there might be a solution...
Id love to by a 6 seater defender and just add rear subframe and long bed and get a 6x6 6 seater
Just imagine this as a 6 seater......whooo weee
As long as you don't have to turn it around in the woods it would be great. A six seater would be looooonnng!
Be awesome for getting firewood out of the woods.
Good walk-around. It sure does look mean! What packages will this be available in? I'm picturing a 6x6 XMR, lol
If you build it, they will come....
I really wish that the cab model, not the limited with AC had this option. I would trade in my 18 cab for it. This is a sportsmans dream. .. well mine any way.
you can get this in a closed cab, you just have to add the doors/windshield/ect. You may be able to get it with ac idk about that, that may be limited exclusive
Goofy, unique, useful... Awesome
It's at a competitve price with other brands and models, your getting a 6x6 for the price of a 4x4 gonna purchase one here in the states and ship it over to Europe to avoid the 22% VAT by having it listed as used xD
It's a really cool looking machine.
There is only 2 things that would keep me from buying this model. One is, the way the rear frame hooks to the front frame in the kind of 3 point affair. The other is the price. It's too overpriced for what you are getting.
You did a great video. Thank you for sharing this info with us.

I have no use for this machine. But I want to drive it!
Imagine if you actually drove it!
I like it but 1 problem I see is the under dash storage has no netting. And no doors? Everything is going to fall off and out. Why in the world are these missing? Other than that I could make an awsome overland vehicle with this!
So they can sell them as accessories, and keep base price down.
This thing is begging for mods! Too bad I missed the launch in Texas.
Octacruiser just got one of these and I bet you will see a custom one soon on his channel
@@morbidslaugh , subscribed to his channel just for that.
no problems to get the moose out of the woods now
Headache rack with a winch mounted on it IS an accessory item. Hint, hint.
My wife would like to use this to move her planters
... around the house
You can buy a four wheel drive long box truck, for the amount they want.
This thing would definitely go or climb where your 4x4 longbox truck cant.
Slingshot I had one. They are useless in the woods. It's takes forty acres to turn around. I found myself driving my jeep and leaving it at home. I sure there are places for these, but I couldn't see anything it did, that my truck couldn't. It was like 300 pounds lighter than my jeep, and it didn't have ac and a radio. Plus I could drive my jeep to the store. I need a mid size four wheeler. These things are so big, they defeat the point of an atv.
Is there a full cab,air cond and tracks available????
This is a standard Defender with an added subframe for the extra axle. All cab components are the same. Dunno bout the tracks.
Top speed?
Not super fast, but pretty quick. It's turning 6 tires remember so it isn't an X3...
It takes 30s? I don't see much room between the two back tires.
Yes, but. How about on the front?
You need 3 inches for 30's, looks doable to me as there appears to be 5 or so between them.
@@WilliamStewart1 If they need 3 inches each, that's 6 inches between the two back tires. That's the area that looks like a very tight squeeze or not doable without some a-arm adjustments.
@@fauztran No they would need 3 inches total, 1.5 inches on each tire.
Struggles to keep the price reasonable......at $30k it’s already ridiculous.
$18,000, base. $30,000?? That's with accessories. And a lot of them.
30k maybe in Canada
30k maybe in Canada
Slingshot yes, contrary popular arrogant american belief, there are places other than the US.
Robert Cruickshank when the crash starts claiming it victims I will be buying these for pennies on the dollar....anyone foolish enough to drop $30k on something like this deserves to be broke.
Who makes the rules about if it is utility only it has to be 40hp lol and cant be over a 1000lbs pay load for the hp lol thats crazy ???????
Hot bro, real hot
