This is why capitalism is so powerful in Vicky 3 funnily enough. Once you get big enough, it's hard to keep enough construction projects going to maintain employment unless you hand that off to the game to just mass build. Theoretically, the total control Command Economy gives you should be super super powerful, but it's just a lot for a person to keep up with.
@@kabobawsome issue is, going full capitalist makes you unable to downsize buildings. Which is a major pain in the ass when a railway building isn't at full capacity, leading to having negative infrastructure, which makes the capitalists just stack more railway extensions. and other similar situations.
It was way worse in the beginning, but this issue still creeps up time to time. That's why I tend to avoid Laissez-faire.
@@kabobawsomeWhile I can't speak for the mod they're using, in the base game this depends on the size of your economy. Once you reach a certain point (I believe around 600-800m GDP?) the investment pool is so inefficient it becomes better to go Cooperative Ownership since more of your cash goes back into your pops. The investment pool contribution will shrink as your economy grows, to a minimum of 30% efficiency at 2billion gdp. That means you lose more and more money from investors as your GDP increases. The exact number depends (particularly on what modifiers you have affecting capitalist investment) but a good guideline is around 800 million GDP is a good time to kill the investor class and focus more on consumer goods.
And Command Economy is a bit of a meme, sure it puts more money in your pocket but having a surplus is actually kinda bad because it means your economy is shrinking as the government hoards more and more money into a big pile that does nothing. On the other hand deficit spending means you're injecting even more government money into the economy (as interest), which helps it grow, with the downside of being unsustainable in the long run (you don't want to default). In theory Command Economy is great if your GDP is very small, but it's so late in the tech tree that if you're still that small when you finally unlock it then you were probably never that interested in growing your economy to begin with.
