- This is the latest of my Then & Now video slideshows which show changes in Middlesbrough over many decades using old photos and new photos taken from as close to the same position as is possible now.
I must add a belated shoutout to Pap Slap aka Ant P Teacher who is one of my subscribers and has been very complimentary about my videos.

Once again Thank you for your kind words, I do this as a hobby as it combines two of my interests, photography and local history. I realise that this a niche channel and am surprised by the amount of peopl who watch my videos and subscribe to my channel.
@@BigMack1959 I dont think you realise fully the value of your work , it warrents proper recognition. It is a vital service to the community you give to share your talent and skill that many businesses would charge money. The community owes you. It so gokd to find your channel. I still have more to view but am saving them as big treats to watch. I just love how you put together the images and the changes that occured from exactly the same viewpoint the original photos were taken.Also your choice of music is carefully considered and is soothing. For me you are magnificent in what you do. For many others you have also given great historical facts and the comments by others are proof of your great work.I wish you much success and please do not let this valuable work go unnoticed by other historical groups and local authorities. Your work is a goldmine body of important historical, local, planning and development, architectural and very beautiful Art you have created.

Love these, it's fascinating to see the changes over time. Park Lane gave me goose bumps, I don't know why, hadn't seen it much since I was 16, I'm now 60 and living near Nottingham. Keep doing these videos and posting on the FB page. Thank you.
Thanks Malcolm this is the closest we can to time travel to see the changes, I'm happy you like the videos and the FB posts and I'll keep doing them for as long as I can.

I lived opposite the Empire (Richardson st) next to Buxton & gurney sts
Heartbreaking to see how the area has gone from great stature, and fantastic architecture, to a sad sorry looking town with no atmosphere
