Your teaching is much better than the live workshop on Alcohol inks I just took last week end. I did not like this medium at all after then workshop, but now you are opening a whole world to me...I will buy alcohol ink at once and try it out. Thank you.

Marissa, you are a wonderful teacher and artist! I'm trying your "wispy" technique and have a question... the point where I drip my ink to make the wisp ends up looking like a white circle in the ink. How can I correct that? Do I need to start in a spot with more ink or is there a pipette technique I'm missing. TIA for your help

Hello Marissa, yet another excellent tutorial. Bravo! I'm definitely going to give this a go. Please can you explain why a heat gun and not a hair drier? Also, is your heat gun set on low or high?
I remember trying the wisp effect a while ago on tiles, and it was always hit n miss. Sometimes I'd end up with something stunning and other times the same technique was a disaster. So now I'm keen to give your technique a try. But scared to use the heat gun as its never been my friend, compared to my drier.

Back again Marissa. I've watched some of the new AI artists test new brands of paint and most of them don't seem to know how to use the products at all. Several were only using ink and no alcohol and then criticising the brands. We only had a couple of brands when I first started and now there are more. I was wondering if you had a preference. I'm mostly familiar with Tim Holtz and Copic's Various refills. But now there are the new Marabu, Brea Reese, and the Kielty brand out of Ireland. Each seem to have a different intentional use. Which brands work bes for the techniques you use?
