- Video review with comparisons for Omnigonix Spinout, their take on an unofficial Masterpiece Sunstreaker. This figure transforms from robot to a race-car. See comparisons with another MP Sunstreaker: BadCube's Sunsurge.
The Chosen Prime is offering this figure at a deep discount. We concur that the quality simply does not warrant the original price. We will offer the item to those who would still like to give the figure a chance, but we will not be accepting returns on them.
However, we will offer replacement parts as needed as long as supplies last. We appreciate you support and understanding on this matter.

Thanks for transforming Spinout properly - and for pointing out the small details!
+Omnigonix Maximus He's only blowing it because he needs to sell them, you guys need to pull a mastermind creations if you want to recover from this.
I like it....... looks more realistic,...... more in line with the rest of the mp line. not bad,..... but those plastic wheels,... and ground clearance are a slight over sights... the articulation is bad ass!
I actually had this figure on preorder from BBTS, but cancelled it last minute. I wanted to wait until I saw a review, and I'm glad I did. I'm impressed by TCP for deciding to reduce the price due to qc issues. It shows how much you truly value your customers. I have some preorders with TCP, and will be happy to give them my business from now on.
Thanks for the high quality of this review. Good reviews can sometimes be hard to find but this one was very helpful!
Awesome review! It's a shame they did not send out review samples to gain feedback before final production. I'm still optimistic and looking forward to get mine from The Chosen Prime!
Just watched your review, and this is after I bought Spinout before knowing what I was getting myself into. I'm not regretting my purchase from the looks of things. I mean, 30 dollars for Masterpiece. more or less, is a steal. The QC issues are there I admit, but not really glaring for me. Transformation? It's a bit scary but I've seen worse. Like Studio Series Shatter and Dropkick for car modes. I still cannot get Dropkick's panels to line up correctly after a bit of fiddling. And as a car buff, I do praise the vehicle mode. I feel like I'm looking at the actual Lamborgini he's based on, more so than Sunflare which looks like it was barely bothered with for the rear bumper. Hugely poseable.
My two issues are the fact that he can't roll, as rolling things should to borrow a catchphrase and the head sculpt.
I actually own Sunsurge and yes I agree there are thin parts on it., and the transformation is more complex. Doesnt excuse the fact that I never once felt that it was going to break while i was transforming it. This figure just from pure observation looks fragile to me.
Quality aside he looks very nice :D I like it much better than Sunsurge.
Monologi o robotach I personally don’t like the chest proportions
Great review!
Very well done review. Although both figures are not perfect by any means, I'm glad I went with Sunsurge. In vehicle mode, I think Spinout looks top notch.
A much better face sculpt than sunsurge, looks good!
After seeing this review. I think I will still be getting him. Especially now that I don't have to stress about replacement parts. Sure some things are super floppy and qc is not that great. he would stay in bot mode for me at least.
+NickSandwichGames better hurry in getting those replacement parts...supplies will not last that long.
I like the look of both modes. I've been waiting a while for this figure, yeah it needs some tlc. I'm debating on either get this or wait to see if he gets ko'd by another group and they improve on a few of the issues mentioned. Even maybe wait to see if Omnigonix fixes things with a second release like KFC did with their metallic paint to red plastic versions on Transistor/Blaster.
Looks like a decent product that needs some joint tightening (I use clear lacquer/paint). I was further sold on the alternate head, which was seen in the early prototype shots. I have Sunsurge, but always felt the head and chest was goofy looking. Heck, the recent Takara Masterpiece Hot Rod and Shockwave were subpar. Thanks for the review.
+cadsux Well, I received mine this weekend. I transformed it carefully and tightened all the loose joints with clear lacquer/paint. No floppiness anymore. I can even pick it up by the head and it wont pop off/telescope. Looks good, but the 3 tones of yellow is kinda bizarre.
Like the transformation better that Sunsurge, if i could find him for about $35 shipped i would buy it, or KO of Sunsurge that would be okay.
Sunsurge is closer to cartoon accurate. Omnigonix looks like it was partially inspired by the classics Sunstreaker
I wish you guys would have pointed out what issues have been reported since it says you have replacement parts.
after watching this if it drops more in price like below $30 I'd buy it
Man I really want to like this, I just can't. It looks so good though, but damn!
Great review! seeing both next to sideswipe I think I'll wait for a streaker. Surge is too short for me and spinoffs too tall.
Shuraking Dino What are you talking about? If Takara didn't have the Lamborghini Countach license, MP Sideswipe and all its retools wouldn't exist.
Shuraking Dino yeah but I'm sure another 3p will take a crack at it I can be patient.
Shuraking Dino No it hasn't, they just released another Red Alert redeco.
My big question, Mr Cat, is he replacing Sunsurge on your MP scale shelf?
Why would he do that? It's complete shit.
+Stumpybot I'm asking if he would because he's being super nice to this in the review.
+DrewsiferXXX It's funny. My gut feeling says I still prefer Sunsurge. But when I just glance over at Spinout, his silhouette still looks good. If the QC was better, I think stylistically I'd prefer Spinout overall just based on how he looks in a lineup.
+Andrew Green I figured. 👍🏻🖖🏽
Why is it that yellow plastic toys always seem to be fragile?
do you guys think this guy is worth anything, about USD 40?
Doesn't look too complex
Yeah i'll stick with Bad Cube, it looks better...
this isn't a masterpiece this is a half assed chug
That's an insult to chug, it's just shit.
He looks like Wolverine rather than Sunstreaker.
Cant lie. While watching you transform this i was nervous of things just snapping off. So many skinny pieces of plastic everywhere. Looks so fragile
+mikagami157 sunsurge has a lot of skinny plastic pieces too and a way more complex transformation
wow...very scary transformation...super floppy, glad i passed.
thats a great fig jus whole lot of band wagon opinions badcube sucks look to toony this fig is more warrior like
I'll try to get the badcube one this is not a masterpiece this is a shitpiece.
Junk
What a floppy mess. Such a shame.
+The_Doctors_Tardis LMAO boy i'm glad i didn't get this. It would be another 3rd party company that would hate me LOL
+optibotimus And it would be entirely your fault and not the fault of the lemon you were reviewing.
The_Doctors_Tardis
LMAO yeah that too :P "OPTIBOTIMUS BROKE IT ON PURPOSE" type of thing :P
+The_Doctors_Tardis "cough" tfc uranos "cough"
+The_Doctors_Tardis In another review I saw where if he was kind of dropped, he would stand, but if he was intentionally trying to be stood up, he would just collapse. Terrible and funny at the same time.
Don't buy this figure! I bought one a the Toy Collectors Expo and it's absolute garbage! My advice is to stay away from this toy. Get the Bad Cube Sunsurge instead.☹️
