Tara-Leigh does specify almost daily that there are differing opinions and conclusions we can reach legitimately from Bible reading and study. She cites many sources for further reading and study and where some of the differences arise. She emphasizes that Scripture interprets Scripture and that we do well to whisper where Scripture whispers and shout where it shouts. It's a very well balanced, clear, helpful format that I greatly value as a lifelong student of God's Word; this is true whether on is new or quite familiar with the Word of God.

I was totally excited to start Bible recap. I have been doing it for about six months. My issue with it is the questions; why she asks some that don't seem to fit with what was read, the way they are formatted. I am not an English major, but I don't think I'm unintelligent either, I guess because I have more of a creative mind, the questions make me feel like I'm missing something, or like I'm dumb. It's been increasingly frustrating because there's at least one or more questions on each day that I am just stumped and confused. I've reached out and either I don't get an answer or some other commenter tries to give me some philosophical answer that goes over my head or sounds like they're on the defense. As Christians if someone has a question we should meet them at their level like Jesus did with Thomas. Not everyone thinks the same way and if we're to be fishers of men then we have to have compassion and not shun people for not understanding what you think they should understand. 4:24

She has show notes within her podcast. She links to articles and videos that she and her team used or present alternative opinions.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts about this book. I think the book is a transcript of the podcast/UA-cam videos. Nevertheless, I enjoy following along with the videos.

I kind of wondered if the book was a transcript of her podcasts.

Never read the book yet or the Bible so it look likes this will be good to use. She has a book called God Shot so maybe that is why she has that section in The Bible Recap? Also, The Bible Recap has an app.

The Bible recap in chronological reading plan is the same in the Blue Letter Bible someone else pointed that out to me. I don't know if she actually put it in chronological order or if Blue Letter bible put it together and she went off of that.

I don't think she ever claimed she laid out the readings.

You can listen to the podcast or watch the videos of it on UA-cam. I watch on UA-cam. Just go to the bible recap UA-cam page and I think you cluck on play lists. They have it in sign language, Spanish and English so you pick the one you want and the days are numbered. It's been a huge blessing to me and I highly recommend it.

    The Bible Recap/Tara-Leigh Cobble Review
Tara-Leigh Cobble has some good things to say and I wanted to do further research on where she stands in her doctoral issues. Some of the places to go are Genesis 1 and Romans 8 and you can get a pretty good idea of their beliefs.
I might have had small problems with Genesis 1 but in Romans 8 I looked at her resources on the podcast episode and also listened. Tara-Leigh Cobble is definitely a Calvinist. Desiring God, Arthur pink, etc, all have Calvinist ways of believing.
Calvinism for those who are unaware is the belief that Christ only died for those he "predestined". What people don't understand is that predestined means that Christ died so that we can be saved from sin; not predestined for a few to believe in His name!
In Genesis we see God's plan and we weren't even born yet. This is predestination.
I just want everyone to be careful and not fall for this false doctrine. Some of the other stuff she says is pretty good, but just beware of Calvinistic beliefs.
And also of The Bible Project of which Cobble quotes a lot of. They believe that hell is not a place rather it's the hell that you bring to planet Earth. In other words, God is not going to send you to a literal hell.
And yes, I am praying for her. If everyone else can please do the same! People obviously listen to her and we need people who have platforms to be prayed for.

Agreed. I just commented on a Facebook post regarding TLC’s book. She does a good job on some things but is off on other things. With everything, we need to test what we read to see of it aligns with the word of God. We want the truth, not what others claim to be truth. 😊👍🏼

I completely agree with you when she went over Genesis, the story of jacob and leah and rachel it came across completely upsetting she said jacob hated leah and that wasnt the case he didnt favor her and once i heard that i knew it was down hill from there as i kept reviewing her on the app she definitely has false docterine
