Hello Precious Ekwang is my traditional meal, we will usually put the Kontry onions last to give it that aroma.
I have not made Ekwang for a while getting the leaves abroad is like a miracle.
Delicious meal, this is my first meal I am planning to eat when I travel home.

I used to think wrapping ekwang is a herculean tasks until I lived in Buea and my southwest friends from Tiko did it like no man's business in little to no time. I then learned and became an expert. Unfortunately there's no explanation on how to do it quick but I think u get better and faster with practice. It's no longer too much work for me. Thanks lady P for yet another dish on my weekend menu. Ekwang on my mind for tomorrow's meal. Love love 💘

Precious: We call it Ekpang nkukwo ikpong in Ibibio; Ekpang connotes a kind of wrap, nkukwo is the very tender sprout of the cocoyam leaves and finally, ikpong means cocoyam. We share similar culture / ancestry with Western Cameroon I believe.
