I've often wondered about the possibility of building a dual-scale layout, with HO in the foreground, and N in the background, but this takes it to another level!
This is so incredibly detailed I half expected the people and animals to start moving as well. Just the smoothness of the boats on the river and the detail in everything makes this one of the best model layouts I have ever seen. Just captivating. That is certainly some speedy ducks and ducklings though 😁
Men are often criticised for not being attentive to housework - However put them in a loft or shed somewhere, and look what they can come up with - This is breathtaking in its workmanship - Thanks for posting

Perspective means Point of View. European paintings employ one point of view to make their illusion of three-dimensions. So the viewer has to stand in one place to make it work. Most model railways are viewed from many places around the track and this is why perspectival backdrops are impossible to get right.

I saw this at an exhibition some time ago. It is absolutely gorgeous. When you are standing right in front it looks like it is several meters deep.
Some modlers currently use N scale in the back of HO scale for that reason. They also reduce the size and definition of scenery.
