Life aboard a Carrack probably encapsulates what I want out of Star Citizen the most: working towards a roving home and just vibe in space with odd jobs and exploration. It's the reason I don't think I'll ever pledge above a classic starter ship. It's just a bit too easy! I want a bit of a grind to finally end with the keys to my own huge expensive thing.
I bought the avenger titan starting pack and my PC would only run the game at 8 FPS, so I had to refund. I had so much fun in my hour or two of gameplay that I've been thinking about upgrading my pc just to play SC haha.
Watching you guys living aboard ships is some of the best SC content. So many of my own questions get answered - just by watching you guys experiment and figure things out
"It's incredibly beautiful to see roleplaying working so well, and immersive too. The Carrack is simply a gorgeous ship. And with the large group, I can understand why that's fun."
well, that's going to be a problem. If you log out in someone else's ship, you are moved back to the last station you were at. So everytime you log in, you spawn in a station, and you would have to fly back to their ship. Its SUPER IMMERSIVE!!
@@tylerchapman7846 Dave is correct. You cannot log back into a ship owned by someone else even if you bedlogged in it, unless, they log in first (asumming they bedlogged too)
I love that you take lengthy play sessions, focus them on a particular subject, and then aggressively edit it down to a 15-40 minute video. I haven't seen much other content like this, and it's great to watch during my lunch break.
Only recently joined Star Citizen after Years of Elite. Having a lot of fun even though i had a rough start. After trying out everything, i found out about Medic Gameplay and is easily my favourite! I worked on Reclaimers tirelessly to be able to afford a Carrack simply for the Tier 2 bed! I have a lot of permanent health issues IRL myself so i play Medic or "Healer" in every Game that allows it. Now i have a platform to rescue players from Bunkers wich have the most player death counts from my Experience. I land the Carrack a few kilometers away and get out the Ursa to drive the rest of the way to the Bunker my patient is in. People are really happy about a Medic having a tier 2 med bed and im happy to have that platform for now. With the new patch though, with the likely wipe, i will lose that platform and all the joy it brought. Until then i try to enjoy the Carrack as much as possible.
The fact that you can have so many people cooperating and having true fun in a game like this is pretty amazing, it's pretty hard to see that nowadays with all the mainstream games being pvp.
Living aboard ships is What I think of as my game play preference, as I will be traveling thru the Verse Firefly/serenity style. Having a ship like the Carrack, which many think of as a specialized ship, I see as one of the best for the all arounder gameplay. The Carrack and other long range ships, will make the Nomadic lifestyle possible, for those who want to see all the wonders and opportunities, that the deep black has to offer.
I was pointed to your channel by my amazing friend Lydia and I love these "life aboard" series. Your channel makes me extremely optimistic on what will be possible and assumed to be the norm for how Star Citizen will be in the future. I'm looking forward to more shenanigans in the future!
The Carrack actually feels too powerful for Stanton. You have plenty of firepower and hangar capacity with a Constellation or Corsair. The Carrack seems far more useful in _Pyro._
Great video as usual! Your Living Aboard series is basically how I’ve always envisioned playing the game after 1.0 drops. Until then I keep it lite to avoid burn out.
Just being a viewer of starcitizen cont3nt but curently unable to play but have an account with a syulen (because it so pretty) whwt i like wbout your life in the (insert ship name here) is that it shows me 2hats curently possible in the game and what to somewhat expect in the game even though i wont hsve enough friends to do stuff like this.
Not sure what it is with the NPC ships flying over wreck sites. Came across a nice red paint Connie Andromeda and a Blue&White cutlass black? Strange but they were friendly.
Excited to see what sort of trouble you can get into with a Carrack. Was considering picking one up with my salvage money in game, but IMO doesn't make sense with the nearly non functional cargo area.
Nice showing (or at least approximating) how it would be like to crew a big exploration ship operating in deep space like Carrack or Odyssey when exploration becomes part of the game. Gives very good guide for a player to decide whether such content is suitable!
How cool! i was just watching Cozy's channel and he was talking about how he loves your channel and that soon he wants to plan an RP Living Aboard a Carrack!! great minds think alike. Love the channel, the vids and cant wait to see more of this carrack life play out!
I've been soloing the Carrack with an 85x in the hanger, an ursa, stv, and fury in the garage. That way if I die I have a backup ship or ground vehicle.
Love these series, this is exactly the kind of thing I want to do once I can convince my friends to pick up the game! One day I shall own my own Carrack, its such a beautiful ship.
The life aboard series may properly become viable outside of just content/fun once server recovery is introduced soon. So much is gonna change, can't wait.
oh iv been waiting for this one, absolutely love the carrack's utility and ability to do most of the gameplay loops adequately. although once the polaris is out i do think it might replace the carrack for me this whole "life aboard" series has been imo the best showing of what star citizen could be, and iv always wanted to do it, but i lack the friends to crew much beyond a cutty or connie :(
Carrak is such an awesome, but such a broken ship at the moment. Elevators will break after a while for no reason (though it looks like it is tied to server performance), cargo bays are non- functional for manual cargo loading, and it is missing some of its features. I really hope a Gold pass is on the cards for it, and soon.
Just recently purchased a carrack in game and i have been using it to hold my m50 or two p-52's in the hangar for racing! its been a great playstyle so far and id love to own one myself someday.
Looking foraward to personal hangers for a bit more of that 'home' feeling. Currently I feel like a vagrant, a cashed up vagrant looking for a house to buy when none are selling.
I really want to see life aboard with new engineering mechanics on some big ships like Idris or the upcoming Polaris... should be a lot of action down in the ship as well and overall Star citizen will become more of a team game
At first I was aiming to get a Carrack to live and pilot alone. But with the upcoming changes in the gameplay, i think a smaller ship is going to be better.
Life on the Carrack is going to be a hell of a ride, especially bringing in discord members. The ship, even without proper exploration gameplay, is probably one of the most versatile in the game and is only going to shine brighter as it's features are added and Pyro becomes a more prominent feature. Excited to see where this new Life Aboard goes!
Awesome to see that you included more people. It's nice to see a large crew working together. Keep this up, the content just got even more entertaining, I'm very excited for the future of this channel and star citizen!!
When I first downloaded Star Citizen, the Carrack had only been flyable for a few months. My friends in the real world who encouraged me to start playing this game had been patiently waiting to fly their Carracks for 5 years! They first purchased the Carrack back in 2015. During my first year of playing in 2020, well over half of the game play involved my friends Carrack in some way. There is a reason this is one of the most popular ships in the verse. This is going to be a great series, and I look forward to watching all the shenanigans the Polar Penguin gets into, and just how far you and your team push the envelope. Just so long the elevators don't keep falling off their guide tracks... lol :)
the "Polar Penguin" is an interesting one... you could say even a 'Cool' name too, though given SC and the mechanics they are going for what about the "Persistent Penguin" in Casaba you can buy Cruz Lux in bulk via the misc section on the terminals... same way you can in Cubby, and in other places that do drinks
These videos really highlight how important it is that you group up with others in order to get the most out of the game in its current state. You cant avoid all of the bugs, but you can mitigate almost all of their impact just by having someone else in your party.

I love that the "life aboard" series has expanded to different types of ships.
It is nice. I feel like a lot of people fly the ships they feature in these, so in a way I feel it helps add variety in the verse.
yeah IF the Carrack wasnt that extremely buggy atm. elevators breaking constantly, hitboxes...
I'm one of the idiots that already have a carrack but don't have the computer to play the game, don't know how that happened but here we are.
Holy crap the bad decisions 😂
You could use the price of the carrack to get a pc lmao
I bought the avenger titan starting pack and my PC would only run the game at 8 FPS, so I had to refund. I had so much fun in my hour or two of gameplay that I've been thinking about upgrading my pc just to play SC haha.
Wanna sell it

I missed the roleplay?
I'm new to Star Citizen, but this game is just so cool
I can’t wait for more capital ships to come in game. The idea of never going to a starport and living offgrid sounds appealing!
Make friends in the SC community and get them to help you with a PC build - the game has very specific requirements. Problem solved.
@@antoniovinciguerra8982 … i think you replied to the wrong comment 😂 my PC is a beast and runs this game solid

The one capital ship that is in the game has a full on hospital.Just like this carrack that you can spawn in

I envy the pilot. The Carrack is the most pleasant ship to fly, feels proper heavy and getting a smooth landing is super satisfying.

Return of the best series! Can't wait!
Edit; l really love the music choices in your videos, they add a lot to the atmosphere!
I love these "live aboard" series you do.
Your living aboard series are the best.
How long until the inaccessible cargo bays become annoying?
haha that is a great question! we'll have to do some cargo running and scavenging to see how big of a problem it is :D
Can't wait for all of this behaviours to be a common daily routine
I cant wait until bed logging or logging in general is fixed and People can live on the ship for a loong time^^
The reclaimer Life Aboard series was where I found this channel, so I have a soft spot for this type of series :)
Y'alls adventures and good music are making me smile 😁
Can I get a Polar Penguin "PP" crew T-shirt Xd
The Carrack actually feels too powerful for Stanton. You have plenty of firepower and hangar capacity with a Constellation or Corsair.
The Carrack seems far more useful in _Pyro._
the life aboard series is amazing and i love the carrack, whish i could be part of the crew. After this you should do life aboard 890 jump.
Great to see some multi-crew light-rp gameplay on a big ship, would love to do this with a 600i-e once that reworks in :)

I love seeing these vids.
I just came off of a two + weeks stint aboard a carrack, and it was glorious.

I just got back into playing SC with the operation overdrive event and finding your life aboard series has been so fun, keep up the awesome content
Your content creation and videos consistently captivate me; please continue your outstanding work, it's truly remarkable!
Loving these 'Living Aboard' videos, they really showoff the capabilities of the larger ships and the fun you can have.
The Carrack is one of my absolute favourites in SC. I always gravitate towards the exploration and expedition type of ships.

I love the name "Polar Penguin". I just seems to suit the ship. I appreciate all the vids you have made and your efforts to produce them.
Amazing video. I really like the carrac so I've particulary enjoyed this one
Really enjoy the living aboard videos that you post. This is going to be a great series with the Carrack.
This was a fun watch. Thanks for having me along. My Chevy has penguin seat covers, new sub 😁
Another great live aboard series.
Katie: "as we all know i am not a good pilot."
No ones a good pilot, some just have waaay more practice than others
The Carrack is my current favorite ship, but that may change when they release the Polaris.

I really love the carrack despite it currently having a few flaws. It really feels like an exploration vessel.
o7 ... Living vicariously through your videos of the Carrack
I think the Carrack is super cool, though it needs an update almost as badly as the reclaimer imo
Another great series starting.....I like how you take the bugs in stride and keep moving with the story
I love Your Life Aboard series just don't take too long to drop another episode ok 😢😢😅
I love trying to live out of a ship like this, makes it more immersive. tho i usually end up crashing the ship lol
You should have called it Pingo after the kids cartoon about a Penguin.
This is the best kind of gameplay video. Thanks for sharing!
i paused i hope u didnt choose blue on the pieces the red white is actual pinguin colors idk if iv seen blu on a pinguin just sayin
I love watching muti crew ship gameplay.
Cool video. Multicrewing can be so much fun :D
That looks like so much fun, having a good group makes the ship a home
insert pico the penguin song from the end of sxybiscuit's videos
Do a Life Aboard a Starfarer refueling people in the verse for a new series ;)

Cool start to the series.
Excited for the new series, hope to join the crew once!
I use the command spot to fly the ship. I love the view from up there!
Love the storytelling of these adventures. Keep up the good work!

gosh I love the Carrack, excited for more life aboard
I want to like the Carrack, it needs a gold pass badly!
The damage on penguin jr was there when I started flying. Great work on the video Kate!
Yes was never a sadder day then finding a carrack full of eggs

Star citizen looks fun, never play it before
Love the "Life Aboard" series and neat to see you doing it in a Carrack.
