Reminder that in most cases of low tiers, it's their weaknesses that make them considered bad, not their strengths, so underestimating any low tier is a sure fire way of getting the shit kicked out of you
Though low tier mains show also remember that sometimes that weakness is a lack of strengths (Twelve)

His Punishes are real bad xd
Q is the perfect example of how to make a character that has a super overpowered ability but isn't overpowered themselves. He might have arguably one of the most powerful abilities ever given to a street fighter character with his taunt, but the character is still balanced because he has a terrible regular moveset. But because his moveset is still REALLY satisfying to use, he's still a really well made character.
his moveset inst thaaat bad, but most of them dont combo, infact i think the only one that actually combos is mid kick, and to mid kick is jmp hp, so jmphp mk.
his air normals are pretty good tho, the HK is really nice, also his charge combos from SA2 and command grab
Q is so creepy. His design, his stance, his movements. Legitimately scary.

@@adolphineatingchildren2641 The move isn't THAT bad it has a useful mixup which involves cancelling it out of his blocked cancellable normals (most likely strong or close forward) and it is quite hard to react to if not expected (which your opponent won't, you're literally playing alex) but it is entirely negated if your opponent is crouching but it is an alright standing mixup to have just to add on to alex's already very good oki and offensive momentum game

I liked how third strike really defined ryu as a puncher and Ken as a kicker, giving Ken extra and better kicks over ryu and ryu punches over Ken. I've always been a ken player, third strike has my favorite incarnation of Ken.

I've been playing fighting games on and off for a few decades now and I'm usually turned off by a lot of other players. I realize not everyone who plays fighting games is a giant douche, but in my experiences, I always seem to always play with some insufferable people.
This channel is great. Just learn and have fun. Makes one want to keep playing and keep improving.
I find this attitude odd. When you compete, you are trying to be the best! Sometimes, this manifests in ways some people see as prideful or arrogant. If you can back it up, it don’t matter what anyone thinks.

Third Strike, with it's fluid animation, superb art and simple but technical gameplay was way ahead of it's time and remains relevant today as it was nearly 20+ years ago. It's the definitive fighting game experience.

Best to play footsies as Q in crouching block and charge his dash punch from this position. You can play defense well and be really aggressive at the same time. Also good to use low punch as your anti air, while charging up the dash punch, and then use low dash punch as soon as the opponent lands. I've been tearing it up doing this!
I mean Kuroda is widely known for his Q and he's one of the 3rd strike gods.

I feel like Q is kind of underrated honestly. With lots of defense and good parries like hugo he can win. His dash punches kind of suck but still he has some decent pokes and damage.

I used to play Q a LOT back in 3rd strike. A great way to play him is by getting good at parries and understanding the strengths and weaknesses of the rest of the roster. If you know all the characters, and can utilize Q in his slim moments of opportunity, I really do think he is one of the very best. Dude is insane if you can parry into opportunities.

The fighting game community LOVES to exaggerate their fights. If it's a close match, they'll say the loser got bodied, washed, stomped, all kinds of shit when it was actually a close match. Some are obviously joking, but a lot of others are serious.
The Q player is good and fun to watch obviously, but he clearly wasn't DESTROYING people. It's so fucking annoying.

Capcom just trashes SF3 in public on sales and blah blah but keeps on taking characters and play styles from the series. I think they just loved certain aspects of Q and wanted to improve them. They have so many new characters in SFV you can tell they’ve been doing a lot of experimenting. Like they are not really sure we’re to go next

Idk why that akuma didn't punish that oro too much, when he hit him with the air tatsu he could do shoryu. And when he block the oro shoryu he just made a crouch kick instead of a full combo with standing hp into low tatsu, that was free dmg.

I just got street fighter 3 third strike on ps2 getting back into gaming I’ve never heard of ibuki I started using her just tried to use Q for the 1st time I was able to do a special art finish with him my 1st match
Im not much of a fighting gamer nowadays, when I was a kid I played a lot of SF2T, Virtua Fighter, Tekken 2, MvC2, Soul Blade, and many others. But Im not a tournament player by any stretch. I was really pleased with Capcom's participation in the sunset sales for the 3ds, WiiU, and 360 most recently. I picked up SF2THDRemix, SF3TS, Darkstalkers Resurrection, and SFxT for a buck 25 each. When it comes to SF3, Im really drawn to Q based on his design and mystique but he seems tricky to master. Heavy hitting slow mover with some nasty punishment vulnerability, is my take so far. Ive been curious to see how he plays in the hands of a really skilled player.

I'm not going to lie, I'm super salty. But it's the game. Good defense beat extraordinary offense. Q had an answer for a lot though. Can't really say he is a gimmick heavy character. Playing a strong defensive game is tough in 3rd. But Alex really should of grabbed more. All in all great game, still salty

There are 3 level of akuma red fireball, lp MP and hp, dealing 1 2 and 3 hits respectively, each being slower to cast too, but all 3 versions will be fully blocked by a single opponent projectile (not like in SF4 where they eat enemy fireballs)
Played this game like it was my job back when it was in arcades. Wish I would have know this was going down. Would have dusted off the arcade stick
