Joystick controlled cutting machine cuts the large oak wood to length then sizes it for height. Then a forklift takes it to a 5 blade band saw to slice it to size. Then on to the pallet machine.
Flimsy pallets, that can only be picked up from one side, the side that never faces you in the warehouse, and crumble when you try and turn the pallet around with your forks!
Thanks for the video great work. And thank you to the savages that show up everyday to do a job most people don't even think about. Doesn't look like fun but they get it done.
6:15 Accident waiting to happen. Dude didn't lower the load, he's got earphone on (probably listening to loud music), his front vision is blocked. Yet he still drive the forklift forward..
Very interesting process.. This might make an interesting industry on my model RR.. I want a sawmill.. once cut what now?? this could be the answer..a pallet industry.. would use a small footprint compared to some industries.. The disgarded pieces along with sawdust could be mixed with formaldehyde and made into chip board...Thanks for sharing.
safety nightmare-no hearing protection, no eye protection, unguarded moving parts, container labeling, oil in drink bottle, horrible place to work. Very labor intensive and probably very low wages and no benefits. Typical
I watched the first 5 minutes and thought, "What a sucky ass job this would be." Damn...I feel bad for the people who work this job but give them credit for hanging in there.
If the machine is down temporarily or if there’s a broken pallet you pull it off the line, take off the broken board and put on a new one with the nail gun then throw it back in the line
I think they make wains coat this way too, well run and clean, must make something out of chips as they have plenty of material but the quality of the wood is real poor
all this kind of pallets are made by raw wood, it is a hugy consum of wood forests, now the waste wood can be made into pallets in one shiping cycle, it is called presswood pallets, you can serach for us palletmach.com
+Backbone that's like a semi driver looking at a car and saying I can't haul 45000 lbs on this thing what good is it the customer must have wanted a cheap pallet to fit the product and it may be a one trip they never see it again
Interesting! Have you thought about using automated timber stacker? There is this Pallet Board Stacker - it is up to 15 rows with spacers, but there is one with 25 as well, I think! Check it out ua-cam.com/video/9AuW44X4XS0/v-deo.html

Very interesting, I've always been curious as to how they were made . Thank you for a very informative video.

What about the side access stringer notches?
Those were non side notch pallets! Not all pallets have side notches!
I run a press and i figured id look up how every single thing that i do and use is made.

As a forklift driver that made me cringe
He's wearing a baseball cap backwards. Did you expect him to be a beacon of intelligence?

Those welded screw rollers are pretty awesome.

One of the first job I ever had was making pallets. Using the same machines.
I’m making pallets now
From which country are you from? I'm from Indonesia🇮🇩🇮🇩
@@aggressivesewerpipe6290 I'm from Indonesia able to send wood raw materials

Welcome to the pallet business
I wonder if they are transported on special pallets?
I watched the first 5 minutes and thought, "What a sucky ass job this would be." Damn...I feel bad for the people who work this job but give them credit for hanging in there.
youre mean
at least they're contributing to society, unlike most unemployed overweight welfare Americans lol
It is a job for real men that are only supported by true women.
Way to boost yourself up by looking down on others... keep telling yourself you're so much better.
It’s better than an office job. Sitting in front of a computer all day isn’t for me.
I've never been where they make the pallets but my old company use to buy them because I unloaded them from this place.
Salam kenal 🇮🇩
With ears bud in while you work can you still hear the screams of your coworker caught in a machine?
i wear ear buds daily and can still talk to people and hear the radio. it just softens loud sounds
@@texanonline1244 hey quick question, do you guys build this by hand some times?
If the machine is down temporarily or if there’s a broken pallet you pull it off the line, take off the broken board and put on a new one with the nail gun then throw it back in the line
Are pallets ever treated with chemicals to make them rot-resistant?
Not that I am aware of but they do get heat treated for shipping over seas.
@@TheeAmericanDream Thanks man. I just wondered if they were safe to burn in a woodstove.
I would not burn pine wood in a stove.
Where is this
It was in the Mid-west, but is longer in business!
Thanks
hello from ukraine
That’s rejected woods

+Ernest Bontrager Hello, nice video, do you guys also recycle pallets??
Got wood ?
Nice!

You're that bored? You have nothing better to do but look up how pallets are made?...Me too 😔
Thank you for your comment! The pallet factory is family owned!
That looks like a shitty job. But without those hard working people there'd be less pallets.
Here work machines not people. you haven't seen us produce pallets ...
the quality of the pallets is not good. Check out EU pallets much stronger construction
+tobbzor stringer pallets are a lot weaker than block pallets
+Backbone that's like a semi driver looking at a car and saying I can't haul 45000 lbs on this thing what good is it the customer must have wanted a cheap pallet to fit the product and it may be a one trip they never see it again
Stronger = heavier. Heavier = less product in the truck or rr car. Less product = higher shipping costs.

9:26 ... Awkward.... lol
these machines have to be insanely expensive. 4 mexicans could do it just as fast
I prefer to build with wood prix plans.
i make so much money off of these things its ridiculous
Hey, are you a wholesale company??
no i get them from my job and cash em in 😉
@mr baye - sure, but who do you sell them too?
woodprix is full of awesome tips. Very helpful to me. Thanks
damn what a slow machine the turbo 606 is way way faster
Tim, who is the manufacture for the turbo 606? thanks.
Viking engineering I believe.
