How about double sided tape for the circle center piece ?

Yeah, if it is strong enough I guess I don’t see why not. For me, duct tape is just a lot cheaper than the super grippy double sided stuff I have, so I save that for only the jobs that I have no other choice.
If you have some super grippy stuff, then go for it. I’d probably do a strength test first, and see if you can move it at all with your hands. It’s a one shot cut, so you definitely need to be sure. There is no do over.

The circle jig is the worst piece of garbage I think I have ever purchased, so bad that I'm sending my unopened Bosch router table back and never buying another Bosch product again

Yeah, it's not a great circle cutter. I really like the Bosch 1617 router itself, but outside of that I am not the biggest Bosch fan. I'd suggest the Kreg bench top table if you are in the market. I love mine.
