Thanks guys ! Glad you like the board Mark!!! Honoured.
Cheers Chris! Hope we can get you on the show this season!
But we have 3 honorable mentions so it's really Top 8, but that just sounds weird.
It's crazy how much knowledge and detail you boys have about products. Best place on UA-cam to learn about it. Thanks.
@@EnoughSaid302 we appreciate the support !
Hella rad and educational. I learn so much. I became radder shredder. I been snowboarding since 1986 at Donner ski ranch in Cali Truckee. Now I'm living in va. Why did i move here. Need to move back home to West Cali 🇺🇸 and Canada mountains 🇨🇦 ☃️ 🏂 Shred on my brothers. 🤘🤙🤝
@@moromoro538 thank for the support !!
Good nuance on binding placement and overhang relative to riding style!!! Can’t emphasize enough that this desire to find the one and only perfect stance/setback/angles/board width/etc… doesn’t get you to the best time on snow… 🤙👌
Any chance we can get a review of the K2 Program binding? I’ve been riding Atlas for the past several years but K2’s price point is really appealing. Love your content Mark! Thanks for all that you do and how much you’ve given back to the sport we are all passionate about. Cheers -
One thing to consider for twin boards riders (like me), and that people usually don't take in consideration, is the distance to the contact points. Many people who ride twin boards use a completely symmetrical stance angle, like 15, -15, or 18, -18, etc while being completely centered. But if you are like me that I like to be centered but I usually ride with 24, -9, you'll have to set the stance a little back because if you are completely centered, your front foot toe will be much closer to the noses's contact point than the rear foot to the tail's, so on your fs turns, you'll be with more tail than nose, and you don't want that.
Just a little tip if someone finds it useful.
Thanks for your input. In my experience it is a question of where your center of gravity is. Having a bigger angle on the front binding twists your hips, shifting your center of gravity to the tail.
I am agree . Looks a nice setup board
Great Job guys! Need the Review of new GNU Banked Country standing aside.
We did do it last season if you go back a few episodes - its a top 6 for us , no question! The entire shop crew loves that model
@@Riders_LoungeFor sure, already viewed that episode lots of times including the interview with Cannon Cummins, this year's graphic is beautiful with the stars, will definitely get the new model this year!
Rasman or banked country then !? These 2 board seems to be in competition and stand in the same category !!
I went for the Banked Country 159, ride 2 weeks in Revelstoke, it shredded everything, and do well in all conditions. Never been on a fun board like it before. Rasman looks promising, I’ll give it a try next season.
More vlogs, I’m here for it
Union is the shit. I love how adjustable their bindings are.
Thats why I prefer the Rome bindings. They are the most adjustable. Adjusting the position of the ankle strap is most important for me.
@@brianp9268 lol I think you read 'Union is shit' not 'Union is the shit'. 🤣
@@simonromans596 how do you think that? He said he/she loves how adjustable union bindings, so I replied with the adjustability of Romes bindings being the reason I prefer them. They are even more adjustable than unions bindings.
Union makes good stuff. Lots of good bindings out there.
Love these videos. Great work guys.
@@ethanchamberlain853 thanks for the support 🙏🏽
Great discussion, as always boys
@@wlp6200 we appreciate the support !
Great video boys
18:18 super important point! Mounting screws aren’t exactly universal! Some brand use super long screws, others use super small washers.
Good to have a tap and die set if your inserts are too mangled.
M6-1.0
Edit: Also the common chamfer won't work on snowboard inserts. You've gotta get a bottoming tap/finishing tap.
100%
Ok Mark, what type of boards or conditions to you ride a wider or narrower stance on?
Is there a place or method to your positioning of you back foot? Realative to the contact point?
Would love to hear what your guys' thoughts are on Rome bindings. I've tried Union a handful of times and were never totally happy with them.
Give the NEW Force a try , its a serious contender for best binding we have ever tried!
Any chance Stranda Snowboards will make it to this channel? Thank you.
Second this
Mark, what’s the determining factor whether you ride step-ons vs traditional bindings?
From what he’s told me, it’s all about performance and comfort for him. At this point he rides step-on 90% of the time and only gets into strap bindings when we’re testing. Step-ons are great for killing foot fatigue so you can’t blame the guy!
When I saw the graphics of the board I was like this is dope and after a friend’s recommendation. I’m going to get this board the question. Is a 157 or 159. I ride Burton step ons from 22? And DC Judge step ons. 5’10” in the 290 range
159 for sure!
This is all good. But there's a lot of guys out there with bigger feet. i got size 13 not that big. A lot of company's just don't make bindings that fit boot size 13 and above that well. If its mini or medium disk cantering is almost never spot on...I want more options then just union force XL
What type of binding do you guys ride on a snow surf series type of board? Softer decks and stiffer.
Hmm how about on a storm wolf specifically?
@@UncIe_Drew For the storm wolf check out the Jones Orion or Union Ultras !
@@Riders_LoungeThanks! I've been looking at the ultras. They look very comfy. No lean adjustment has my concerns tho.
Ok another question for you. What is the reference point for stance widths? Is advertised reference stance from the center of reference inserts? Do you ever measure with bindings on?
im 46 eu i think its size 12 should i go for wide board? 191 cm tall ... ty !
For Sure!
Did anything change from the 24 to 25 Rasman?
Yup. We added subtle org throttle platforms under the feet. Gives you a bit more response and stability under the bindings, as well as a touch less toe and heel drag because of the lift.
@@ChrisRasman Damn! Straight from the man himself. Thanks for the information 👍
What board is that with the wolf?
LibTech Rassman! Its a beauty
At ~18 min. The screw discussion...if I'm pulling my base up with the screws, am I tightening too hard? Or is that just, whatever.
That happens also if you wax with bindings on
What size are marks boots?
He runs a 10 usually
Does Fawcett still mostly ride Burton Photon Step On boots and Genesis Step On bindings?
@@joshuasills he is always trying new gear and mixing it up - seems to be on the Atlas and swapping between Nidecker and Thirtytwo boots lately!
@@Riders_Lounge Curious if he finds better performance with standard boots / bindings now and what caused the switch? I remember one of the last videos he said that his daily driver setup was step on for the performance.
Thanks for all the videos!
@@joshuasillsFawcett still rides step-ons 90% of the time. He ventures back to strap bindings every now and then when we’re testing. Lately he’s been riding primarily the soon to be released Union Atlas step-on bindings with Burton photon boots
12 inch stance 5 front -15 back. full set forward. 6 ft tall. how am i looking coach
Good for some chill, switch cruising 😂
So im running 21/0 as well right now. Am I good with 1/2" setback on my true twin?
@@hossfox30 thats a good standard / then shift further back on a pow day!
@@Riders_Lounge awesome! Thanks for the help. You guys rock!
sz8 boot on a 26cmwaiste width? i dont even like 25cm with my size 8 boot on my freestyle boards. feels like a plank going edge to edge in icy parks!
Bit of forward leans does wonders for riding wider boards
u got a ride review video of it ?
coming on the review show for sure! - next month
@@Riders_Lounge cool, thanks
As a shop owner... the freaking measuring tape is always gone !!!

Any updates on Union’s force bindings?
I bought a used board online and found that it has one base bubble in the front and one in the rear. Can it be fixed? Will it affect my riding?
Sounds like a defect. I would return it ASAP. You probably won’t notice it riding but I imagine it could get progressively worse after a few hot-wax and scrapes.
