    Great review! I love my Bay Pro 220, I guess I need to do a review on it as reviews are seriously lacking on that hull.

      @@DustyFishCo I do not, but I am considering the 220 because I plan to fish inshore and bass fish. I think the Elite would be great! I would run big water once in a while but not too often. I think the 220 would do a little better than the 203.

      Hello have you pulled the trigger on your new 220 Excel? I'm currently seriously considering purchasing a 203. I was recently informed about the elite wide deck. Any information you or others can share is greatly appreciated. @@erichodges198

    Got a 2019 Ex el BP 203. I like it but it does limit days in Pcola bay. If its nasty in Pcola bay i just stay in the bayous. Bought mine from L&M, didnt have any issues with them.

      Glad you had a good experience! Mine was so bad I’ll never go there again or let anyone I know buy from them. But yeah I’m glad I upgraded for the PCOLA fishery! It’s so much nicer out there now 😂

      @@DustyFishCo I had a horrible experience with them as well when I bought a 2016 Xpress XP20CC. Brand new boat had to be sent to factory for several months because the hull was crooked! I demanded a new boat but got nothing.

    Thanks for the detailed walk around . I am downsizing from a 24’ bay boat with Verado 300. Will mainly fish MS bays and bayous. Any idea how your boat stacks up against the same model of an Express ? Prechate your time ,

    • @DustyFishCo
      @DustyFishCo  4 місяці тому

      The hull is a lot thicker on these. I also feel quality control is better. These also have more foam in the hull which is a GREAT THING. These ride quieter as well.
      I have several friends with Express and the quality issues are constant and horrible

    Just bought my 2020 bay pro with 13 hrs on it.. had it out up here in Tn a few times in the week that I’ve had it…. I also feel that it does lack storage, but nothing that cannot be solved with some ingenuity….
    I am a little concerned on how it loads (doesn’t want to load) back on the trailer… however, looking at making some adjustments on the trailer itself…. Maybe I’ll do a 6month review when I’ve had it that long… …. It is my first boat I’ve owned, However, like you, I’ve got years of experience on boats…

    • @DustyFishCo
      @DustyFishCo  2 місяці тому

      Mine was complete trash loading, best thing I found to do was pull the trailer further out of water, and gently power up it, lined up better that way

    • @paulheger136
      @paulheger136 Місяць тому

      I have seen other people add a roller with brakcet about 1ft or so under the bow of boat. When loading, bow hits new roller and lifts bow to help lock it in. Simple to install.

    Thank you for a great review. Hey, I'm seriously considering getting a new boat in soon. I've got my eyes on a Ranger RB 190 and an Excel Bay pro. Can you or anyone else give me your thoughts on why Ranger or Why Excel?
    Stay Safe!

    • @DustyFishCo
      @DustyFishCo  10 місяців тому +1

      I don’t have any experience with the rangers, but I’ve heard nothing but bad about the new ones. Hit up my buddy on Facebook at salty bottom outdoors.
      He did months of research on the Ranger and then refused to buy one. I absolutely loved my excel I just needed something bigger for the big water I fish

    How does it compare to the similar Xpress?

    • @DustyFishCo
      @DustyFishCo  7 місяців тому

      The express is a much thinner hull, doesn’t ride as smoothly and has a lot more hull slap in waves. The overall quality of the express is much lower.

      Mannn, it’s a LONG LIST. gulf to lake marine f’ed up in more ways than I can count.. a total of 8 electrical issues from their rigging. One of my power poles almost fell off the boat I can only guess it was never torqued correctly. They lost a 5,000 check. They had me drive 7 hours down to pick my boat up that wasn’t even ready. I lost fuel and hotel money just to have to come back the following week and do it again. No compensation for that. They use the crappiest trailers on the market. They improperly installed my trolling motor and it snapped. I then had to drive it 7 hours back down and leave it for 2 1/2 weeks during my first month of ownership because they wouldn’t just pay someone up here to fix it. Then had to drive 7 hours down again to pick it up. Etc etc etc etc. I’ve spoken to 6 other frontier owners who all had horrible experiences there and 3-4 people that bought other brands there and had the same issues. If you want a Frontier I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Crown Leisure Marine in D’Iberville, Ms ABSOLUTELY AMAZING PEOPLE. Tell the owner I sent you there, he’ll take care of you.
