I think working with foam clay is a nice medium if you want to practice sculpting faster (because of how fast it dries). Also, I was finally able to use my foam clay thanks to your videos for giving me inspiration! ❤
I found your channel yesterday after accidentally buying foam clay and your creations are lovely! I was wondering, can you paint foam clay with acrylics once it's dry? And do you need a primer before that?
thank you 🥰 it was a happy accident then hehe That‘s a really good question actually.. I‘m sure the color would stick to it but I never really tried. But I have a white foam clay figure on my desk and I‘ll try it out and tell you about it :)
that‘s great 😊 So I tried the acrylics (some cheap no-name brand) and it works really well! So you can paint directly on the clay (I‘d wait a few days for the clay to fully dry) and the surface also doesn‘t get sticky, it actually feels kinda nice and smooth 😁
LOL, 'after nearly death experience, lets continue..'😂 Shooo cute..I'll make one (again) later.. Couple years ago I made kaonashi swing but didn't finish it 😅 Ah yes, I also love lightweight clay, the first clay I use back in 2014 is vinyl & paper lightweight clay actually 🥰
Oooh, they are adorable ❤ that is sheer genius with the magnets! I usually work with resin, but lately I've been trying out foam clay and I love it. Hahaha! Well done for surviving your near death experience! 🕸
You can make loads of things from resin. I (quite stupidly!) have way over a hundred moulds of all sorts of random things. It's fun to play with, but expensive. I'm currently enjoying foam clay and making fake bakes, plus I can use some of my silicone moulds with the clay to make dinky decorative things. Resin isn't pet friendly though, and your fur baby would probably get upset if banished from your room x
I can totally see myself with a hundred molds or anything other craft related thing 😂 But using them with foam clay is a great idea, do you let them dry in there oder does the foam clay get out easy? And yes, my cats don‘t tolerate closed doors 😂
Hi! I buy my Foam Clay here: www.bohstoys.com/collections/arts-crafts-1 I like this brand the most :) But there are also others out there, they are normally either called „foam clay“ or „soft clay“ Soon I‘ll post a video about trying different foam clays from amazon maybe this will help too 😊
