GREAT player...played for the Sox 1940-1953...passed away in 2009 in Marion Mass at age 92...should be in the HOF.

A fine hitter, Dominic was among the greatest defensive centerfielders in baseball history. He developed methods for positioning himself for certain dangerous hitters in certain baseball parks. If there were no Joe DiMaggio, Dominic and Vince would be frequently talked about when sports fans talked about the greatest players in history.

Life-long Yankees fan here and I was just wondering how the f*** is Dom DiMaggio not in the hall? Seriously. Compare his stats to his peers and shut the h*** up about modern stats. The HoF should just be that; The Hall of FAME. Not the hall of the better players who had a lot of fans and peers to elect them in. Seriously. How is Harold Baines in the hall and not Dom DiMaggio? These sports writers need to get an education in time.
