Sunshine is my favorite place to be in the whole world, love it. As much as it's cool to see the gnarly terrain you do, it's also nice to see some of the more mellow runs some of us less extreme people hit up on the regular. The hotsauce at the end was pretty funny too, other than getting pranked about it being back in stock, that was just mean.
it's so cool to see you ski the my main resort and the place were i really grew as a skiier! on new years eve my friends and i cut through that run at 10:29 after doing the glade run to its left. i was lowkey eating it up until i caught an edge on a hidden tree and ejected. great fun tho! maybe i'll run into you there sometime
I was a liftie at Sunshine (continental divide was my main lift) a number of years ago and it was freaking amazing. Especially days off and just doings laps of Delirium Dive and Wild West. Thanks for bringing back some amazing memories ❤❤
What a perfect blue bird day and what a unbelievableor or season you are having im a bit older but man from a guy thats skied alot of years what a incrediable season you are having!!!!Reliving my youth through your ideos!!!!Thank James so much for still keeping the Youth in my soul!!!God id love to rage on the slopes with you!!!
i got to ski this hill on a layover. It was so cloudy I had no idea how epic the views were from up there lol. It's kind've surreal to see the terrain I was on with that background. fun video 👍
Absolute banger! Sunshine village never make us sad except… when it’s flat light like when I went there EUG. Which mountain id your personal favourite?
Hi James & Laura 😊 I enjoyed your video after an evening of teaching tennis. Sunshine Village is truly beautiful. Thanks also for showing the ski out. Sunshine usually gets nice snowfall accumulation during the season. One question… did you put some Liquid Courage in the ramen?
Damn looks icy! That La Nina winter hitting pretty hard in the Alberta Rockies. One of the few Christmas trips down to Cochrane AB where there was zero snow.
have you seen the snow report for Mt Washington , over 400 cm and climbing , hit the summit of Coq last weekend , was killer soft and enough to hit anything
@@BeetsByHometownBrew i rarely go to resorts these days after 50 years of skiing and working them and live in Merritt so close to the summitt for backcountry
I have been planning a ski trip with my misses, but she is not quite as advanced as me. How did you guys manage the disparity in skill level during the trip?
are pole plants really necessary? I am not the best skiier but didn't learn to ski with pole planting and don't do it. Do you think I should to try to improve my skiing?
Yes, because pole plants promote solid hip turns. Keeps your whole body committed to the arc. Once you get used to doing the motion, you can ease back on being militant about planting on every turn, but the idea is to initiate, properly. I say this as a total nobody & know nothing, never formally trained. Just my 2 cents & observations.
I've only watched 3 seconds and I have to immediately ask, did Laura fart? I don't believe that! Nice girls don't fart. James, you're playing with your girlfriend 😂
You know it’s good when you watch every video of someone else skiing the mountains you ski every week
Literally this. Ssv has its problems but for a weekly Destination there's nowhere else in Banff w so much variety and fun to be had
Peak Rise & Alpine content has been reached - Laura doing hot sauce! 😂 Loved it! And great effort by Laura as your ski buddy. Adventure who???
Laura’s sawce shootin is the most adorable thing I seen in a long time ❤️.
I would watch "Rise & Ramen"- That's a perfect premise for a full series of skiing in Japan
You are actually the best Rise and Alpine. All your videos are a blast. Keep it coming man.
Sunshine Village is my favourite place to ski!
What a beautiful place that looked. I feel I say it each time but the scenery is awesome. Enjoyed the hot sauce scene at the end! 👍🇬🇧

Nothing beats sunshine on a bluebird day 🙌
Another great video. Slowly making me want to consider a Canada ski trip next year! This place is beautiful!
I have lived in Calgary for 12 years and I went to Sunshine Village for the first time last week and I loved it.
Better late than never =D
Sunshine is beautiful on a sunny day. Such great views. Sending love from AB!💗
Looks really nice and it seems like not a lot of artificial snowmaking! Perfect. Natural rules. Have fun with your girl.
These videos with Laura are nice, it’s different to see you not going 100% for 110% of the time and getting 100000 vertical😂
CHRISTMAS TREE!!!!!! One of my favs!!!
I was a liftie at Sunshine (continental divide was my main lift) a number of years ago and it was freaking amazing. Especially days off and just doings laps of Delirium Dive and Wild West.

Yo guy, this sounds crazy but you should make a trip to the east coast! You’d love the vibe out here, I’ll show you the best stuff
You gotta come back in February/early March. That's when we get the bulk of our snow.
Adventure Laura 😊 !!!!
Rob is going to be jealous.....lol
⛷⛷⛷⛷⛷🔥
You need to come up to Hudson Bay Mountain once in early March and once in the spring to ski the 7000’ run from the peak.
Such a good video, I watched it twice!
I went up sking last weekend and i skied my frist black at 13 and then did a bunch more it was awesome!

Well that was a wholesome 16 minutes 😊.
Come to Big White again bro! Weather has been better recently, try and time a bluebird. It will be worth the wait, trust me.
Love that there is league worlds on in the background when they are eating ramen
This one was fun!
Elevation place is awesome. Had a steam whilst we were killing time, too. Bro's got good judgement.
Damn looks icy! That La Nina winter hitting pretty hard in the Alberta Rockies. One of the few Christmas trips down to Cochrane AB where there was zero snow.
Next time you are at sunshine let me know and we will rip backdoor and some of my favorite Goat's Eye tree runs
Dive just opened today 😢
Another great episode... When does 'the Dive' normally come online?

Awesome!!
Only show the woman you truly love your Mount Assiniboine.

have you seen the snow report for Mt Washington , over 400 cm and climbing , hit the summit of Coq last weekend , was killer soft and enough to hit anything
That's a silly start to a ski season, no doubt.

great vid!!! did you have to pay to use Bark at Moon?
You should do a east coast video😂
Sorry about the rocks. So many rocks. Ugh. But yeah, we love SSV!
I have been planning a ski trip with my misses, but she is not quite as advanced as me. How did you guys manage the disparity in skill level during the trip?
The song was DMX " Ruff Ryders anthem"

I’m at big white right now

Watching Laura trying to drink some hot sauce was like trying to give my wife eye drops lmao
You guys doin Norquay and Nakiska???
are you still going to travel in the van?
Crazy weed is delicious, sunshine is my favourite place to ski with multiple skill levels.
Song is “Like a Prayer” by Madonna !!
Heya when you getting more stickers back in stock?
How cold was it?
You need to go to Alta and snowbird. Best terrain and snow.
The random Borat accent breaking out lmaoooo
What are ya smoking, Lake Louise takes that title
