I love that the name of the manga is just an obvious reference to Kimi ni todoke.

IN season 1 when he was reading it, it was pointed out he even has a similar personality to Ichikawa in the Manga, he's basically an idealized version of Ichikawa.

This is a reason why I love Ichikawa and Yamada as a pairing when they want to be in their feelings they allow themselves to so Ichikawa cries when he's touched by Yamada's actions and Yamada cries and Ichikawa actually hugs her and comforts her Im a hugger so their dynamic is just so satisfying to me. Anyway Yamada should have told him tho because now shes on the trip and its blowing up in her face because she's feeling conflicted. Ichikawa while I get with the whole Kankan flash mob thing had alot on his mind should have found a chance to properly talk with her. Its lack of communication on both sides but they're both kids so I get it. They did sort of make the whole thing more of a mystery in the anime since in the manga she did tell him it was an audition but the same events still played out since he didnt know how important the audition was. They changed around things like moving up the whole him being stuck in girls dorm from the end of the next chapter events to cliffhanger this episode. The episode was supposed to end with him sending the text but I appreciate the urgency they gave this whole moment him running to find her Honestly tho I would be crying too if someone gave up a life-changing opportunity to spend time with me and at the same time despite being happy id tell them to go do what they need to do because love shouldnt be a shackle for someone else.

If they covered 4 chapters like they normally donit wouldnt have ended at the text and she didnt tell him , it was kobayashi. All he knew was that she was hiding something but she wasnt telling him

@@latima123ify no she did tell him she had an audition but brushed it off saying oh I probably wont get the part or something like that as I said what she didnt tell him that the audition was for Kimiro Octave which at least from manga perspective left him wondering all trip what did she sacrifice.
If they didn’t shuffle the chapters, this ep was supposed to be that legendary scene. But they pushed it to next ep for double whammy knockout punches
The next episode will be amazing, it will be a little different from the manga, so I hope it will be a great ending
7:50 And now because of Confetti Girl's interference Ichikawa is avoiding Yamada. Shaming two people into confessing with confetti and a flash mob does nothing but doom the relationship. Personally, I'd yell "You ruined it!" into her face and then leave.
