Tamayo said that the exploding thorns was the blood demon art of the man Muzan turned into a demon at Asakusa (season 1 episode 7-8). I believe he's still in Tamayo's care which explains how she was able to study and use his blood demon art.

Some explanation here:
Muzan was suspicious about a trap and wondered why there were no guards. At that moment, he saw his girls playing with a ball, which distracted him from thinking more deeply about the guards. This was why he never expected the move and couldn’t escape in time. His wife and daughters knew about the plan and understood they had to be sacrificed with him for the future of humanity. They couldn’t let him die alone anyway.
The domain power isn’t Muzan’s; it’s Biwa lady’s domain. This is why Muzan kept her close. You can tell because every time someone teleports to the domain, you hear the Biwa sound.
She was collecting every demon slayer’s location in previous episodes. In this season’s episode 1, we saw Muzan collecting all demons in her domain. He planned to kill all the demon slayers there with all the demons.
"Hey Muzan, what's a bigger cliff hanger than season 4 episode 7?"
When all the hashiras and Tanjiro attacked Muzan at the same time, it was so epic! and in reality his family did know that they would blow themselves up, and they wanted to stay with Ubuyashiki until the end 😭😭
It was all part of the plan. Kiriya, Kuina, and Kanata must've taken a lot of time to accept the plan that they were excluded coz they have their own mission. 😞😭

I read an interview with the staffs working in the anime a few years ago and they said that demon slayer was always something that they have been eye-ing on to animate however it was the Red Light District Arc that convinced them to gather the best ppl they could find and create a passion project out of it.
Idk if you read comments but Muzan doesn't control the infinity castle. The one-eyed biwa lady does. It was shown when Muzan killed the lower ranks and during the upper moon meeting.
BIG NOTE (Not a spoiler but an explanation): So the "domain" isn't muzan's. It's the biwa woman, Nakime. Hence why any scene of the infinity castle's doors opening or closing is aleays accompanied by the sound of her biwa.
All those eyeballs marked "Upper Moon 4." That was her splitting her awareness to tag every single demon slayer so she could teleport them here, where she has full control of the environment. And I don't care what anyone says, that makes her the most powerful demon as far as Im concerned. That is fucking WILD!

You do know that Muzan can telepathically control all demons, right? Except for Tamayo and Yushiro, who aren't under his control, all demons are functionally an extension of Muzan, so the Infinity Castle is literally his by proxy.

Sanemi and Shinobu is much faster than Rengoku hence why those two got there quicker than the other Hashira, If Tengen were still a active Hashira he would've most likely get there even quicker than everyone.

I think it also has to do with weak spots as well. Muzans head isn’t his weak spot so it has no need to be as reinforced as an upper moons head, which is their weak spot.
Why does she think Rengoku is stronger/faster than the others to have changed anything there? They revealed 2 episodes ago that Gyomei was the most powerful Hashira. It was established Rengoku can't even beat an unserious Upper Moon 3. Not sure what she's expecting him to do against Muzan compared to Gyomei lmao. And Tengen is the fastest Hashira (referencing fastest running speed specifically) according to that databook.

Quick explanation (theory since I'm not a manga reader) on why it was specific demon slayers and not the whole area like you said. So the "domain" isn't Muzan's but it's the cyclops girl's blood demon art. Hence her always controlling it and playing her instrument. She used her million eyes to spy on each demon slayer one by one and on Muzan's signal or command, she would abduct all of them at once (since Muzan said he knew there was going to be a trap) so that Muzan can finally wipe out the entire demon slayer corps all at once.
Yeqh and this was the perfect moment because they were all here for the hashira training

Remember Kyogai the ex-lower moon from season 1? The "domain" is basically an amped up version of his demon art. Where he only had control over the rooms of his house, Nakime can control this entire dimension

I know its easy to think Rengoku would've reached the battle already, and while we did get a great show of his speed during the Mugen Train prelude, but unfortunately he wouldn't have. Idk specifically which one but of the current Hashira roster, some of them are definitely faster. And like Tengen, all the Hashira were a considerable distance from the Ubuyashiki residence and from each other. When Tokito ran out to train with Sanemi and Obanai, Sanemi points out that he keeps 'running all the way out here every night'.
In unmarked stated Rengoku is 5th fastest.

**EDIT** So the reason-and this is just a theory-why all the demon slayers got taken into the Infinity Castle is that Muzan wants to end them all so that he and the other demons can survive and probably snag Nezuko with little to no resistance.

I think the confusion might be that I don't think the domain is Muzan's. The Fourth, the girl with the instrument, is the one who seems to control this space. I'm not sure exactly how she controls it except by strumming, but I think it has to do with her eyes. I imagine that they're probably the origin point for her doors, which is why she had thousands of them following around all of the demon slayers. She said something like 60% last episode, so she probably has the vast majority of them tailed by now, and she just opened all of them up at the same time.

Thats makes her in theory the strongest demon in existence because she could teleport any upper moon into the Sun.

27:10 To answer your question (no spoilers ofc), this scene was just a few panels first showing everyone surrounding Muzan, all of them starting their one attack, then the smile, then a couple panels of the doors opening up. Funny enough, the manga actually shows flames coming out of the doors, and Muzan says "You're all going straight to hell" before they fully pass through the doors. That's basically it, you only see a couple people land in random locations, none of the generic slayers/Inosuke/Zenitsu are directly shown falling into the castle. There are a couple other details but I would have to move into spoilers to continue talking about it.

Dw you're not stupid he itnention is for people to believe that it was Muzan only for it to be revealed that it was Ubuyashiki's plan, after all up until this point in the story we don't really have full context on what Muzan can or can't do. But you maybe did miss that the Upper Moon 4, Nakime was finding each and every single demon slayer regardless of rank because the idea is to get rid of all of them, she has all of their locations and eyes following them and SHE is in charge of teleporting them just like we saw her teleport the upper moons last season. That's what the hundreds of eyes were for.

The Infinity Castle is in a Alternate Dimension, it(or its entrance) can be summoned anywhere the Biwa Woman wants. She just need to see the location which she did by using her eyeballs.
