Love the KTM Dukes! They always look so angry! Haven't ever thrown a leg over a KTM though, last dealer I went to was like "You need to buy it to test ride it" ...next dealership...
That’s not right you need to ride the bike…I hope you find another dealer. KTM may not be as refund as my Ducati but I think they’re excellent machines. They are the leader in naked bikes…adv…dirt! Thank you for commenting ride safe 🙂
I've owned many bikes. The 1290R Evo I have is a little quirky (occasionally throws a suspension code which always goes away quickly) but with a BT Moto tune it truly came alive ... and I thought it was great before that, but with it the bike is truly a beast. I have all the Tech Pack features on my bike and while I don't think KTM should be doing it the way they are... well, the features are great and compared to Aprilia or Ducati here in Canada, the Super Duke was almost $10K cheaper than their similar offerings.
I replaced my Tuono 1000R of 16 years with it. The KTM handles differently but honestly it's better at most things. The motor can't be compared, the Duke always has more power available than you need on the street. You have to be a lunatic to want more power than one of these things on a public road and I say that as a guy with regional racing titles and a 2nd overall Superbike championship.
