I totally disagree. This bike gives unreal satisfaction from 0 - any speed. If you have ridden any of the v4/ 200hp bikes with less torque you don't get that satisfaction feeling until you are doing 100mph in first gear. Totally different animals. You only know this if you have been on both types of bikes......
@@LittleBigMediaCo it is directly a response to your comment. This bike is completely different from any of the 200hp race bikes out there. But your simple mind could not comprehend my comment lol
That front end nervousness that was present in previous models is certainly much better. Whether that’s down to a better steering damper or the forks/overall setup we are not sure
49cc increase ? why...in the scheme of things that is such a small amount. The 1290 I had was NOT the monster the media told me it was, I had to spend thousands getting it to mental stage...I'm going to guess that this one will be the same....sigh.
Plz stop with is it too much at the end of your video for the streets bc then they will start giving us watered down versions of each generations to come., having said that let people decide for themselves what they may think or may not think is too much- I know you are just trying to be helpful but why else would someone by a SD if they wanted it to be like say oh I don’t know like they were riding a Triumph Bonneville
All i know is my 2017 1290r superduke has full titanium Akra, intake and ecu tune and im telling this thing is an absolute beast power wheelies in 1st 4th 😮 🦾👍🏻 makes my 2015 Kawi Z1000 feel like a 750. I have never ridden a bike in my 45+ years of riding street and track
Great review . Best so far. Sure is refined . Ha . My Gen. 1 is getting dated ,but I still love my 16 SDR with all the performance kits.
What a great review and vids. Thank you. I suppose that headlight could grow on me, especially in person.
Thanks for the comment. Yes for sure the headlight is a lot more accepting in person compared to pictures
The front light 😍😍😍😍
great review. needs international exposure. thank you for all the technical details
Thanks so much 🙏🏻
That titanium akra!!
Lekke vid thanxalot!!
Does have fuel gauge or they removed it ??
Fantastic review. Best yet well done.
Thanks so much
What an aggressive look ❤, great video
And it completely contradicts KTM's reasons for not producing a road-going superbike ...
The 1290R makes a mockery of it, much less the 1390. It's not faster than some of the bikes I've owned but by god it FEELS like it.
Wish velocity moto could make some full fairings for SDR.

Or didn't you understand it, so instead you went off at a tangent?

Does it have a half decent steering dampener now?
That front end nervousness that was present in previous models is certainly much better. Whether that’s down to a better steering damper or the forks/overall setup we are not sure
I am not a big fan of orange. But the little frame left on the black version does not bother me any more.
Any idea when bikes may land in SA?
Will hopefully have that answer and price tomorrow
Hi Bruce, we have confirmation of price and dates. 1390 SDR is R389,999
Evo R419,999. ETA March 15th
Rich Mans Bike!
Steering damper option?
Would luv to experience that tire shredding torque.

49 increase... why not?
Because it’s too small - if they are going to the trouble then do it properly…we all know a 1490 is around the corner…why do we need this interim step
That's 190hp at the crank
In the wheel it's a very
Reapected 175hp from
A v twin
