Hi Ricky - your comments about differing sumi. Is this because whilst the female is the same parent, Dainichi use several males in their natural spawning process

No it’s normal to get differing types from the same spawning. That’s what I was drawing the attention to. A lineage may produce a more dominant type as a trait but not every koi from the spawning will posses it.

I have just bought a showa with slight sumi under the skin. I can see where the sumi will come up I have literally studied your video for months 😂. Great videos mate my 1 negative is you don't make them as fast as I watch them 😂😂😂
