Very good behind the scenes video of the good and bad of the koi business. That last Asagi would be VERY interesting to watch how it develops if you are able to keep it for the next couple of years. I’ve never seen one like that before and Asagi are one of my favorite varieties.

As you know I’ve had a big problem with a bacterial issue. My remaining sick koi are on antibiotic injections from my vet. I have to do the injections every 3 days. But the koi are healing

Great look into other parts of koi dealing. There’s definitely a lot that goes into it that most koi keepers don’t understand. And what a cheeky heron you had.

This might sound stupid to some of you but I kept koi for quite a few years, the main guy I bought them from told me if I found a fish scraping or saw loose flesh or whatever pull them out apply TCP and put them back in the water. Never lost a fish, apart from one, it jumped out the pond.

Truly impressive Ricky! You speak of improving the uv, are you talking about the uv spectrum as far as sunlight or uv within the pond to improve water clarity? I ask cause my pond is indoors with zero natural sunlight and certain colors really fall off once I add the koi to my pond. Mainly red, orange and yellow coloration. Any advice?
