    I’m so glad I found you, I love to iron. My great grandmother started me out on Tea towels when I was little.
    I’m looking at upgrading to a Rowenta.
    For me ironing is very relaxing.
    Thanks again for a great review.

    Great content - good informative video. After all my research, I just ordered the Steamforce - thanks for being part of that decision. We had the Focus and it just died...2 years old which I think was a bit of an early death.....my wife may have accelerated it's demise by dropping it off the ironing board a few times.. :-)

    What I didn't like and that you didn't say is that it doesn't actually FULLY have an OFF with the Rowenta Steamforce. Based on your review, I bought it 9/5/2020 on Amazon. Currently I sew hundreds of facemasks and donate to people in my community during the Covid-19 pandemic and I need to be ready to turn on the iron when I'm cutting/prepping the fabric and then when I need to iron the mask itself to prep for sewing and finishing. With my Oliso, I just turned it OFF and it's off until I turn it back on. This one constantly flashes the LED light (when I turn the temp controls to the lowest - Nylon and Auto Off) and although it should be OFF - with the LED flashing for hours - the inside of the handle is warm to the touch. I have to actually unplug the iron to stop the LED panel from flashing. Also, it DOES sputter when in upright NOT USING position as well as leaks when I do use it. My setting is on Cotton and wait for LED to stop flashing, so it should NOT BE LEAKING. Am curious if Rowenta paid you to do this video. I just bought it yesterday and am returning tomorrow. The other thing you should have mentioned is that after EVERY USE, you are supposed to empty the water from the reservoir which is totally inconvenient.

    I bought the Steamforce and for 5 minutes it worked PERFECTLY! The auto shut off light started blinking and the iron would cool off. The manual said to move it or shake it slightly and that didn't work either. I wonder if I got a faulty one, I really love this iron but have trust issues now.

    • @IroningLab
      @IroningLab  4 роки тому +1

      There's definitely something wrong there. The auto shut-off should only occur when the iron is not being moved. You should contact Rowenta Customer Care www.rowentausa.com/consumer-services/contact-us Good luck!

    Unfortunately, my last two irons have been the Rowenta Steamforce and both of leak terribly. In fact, I only bought the second Steamforce iron because the first one started to leak inexplicably after the first year and a half of otherwise inconsequential use. My newer Rowenta started leaking then pouring water out of the bottom where the cord meets the base of the appliance after it had been sitting upright on the ironing board for a good half hour between pressings. I sew, which often means I only press when I need to! Because I only used spring water in my first Rowenta, I made extra sure to only use tap water as per the user instructions for this second iron. I am blown away with what appears to be a clear demonstration of planned obsolescence on Rowenta's part. Very dissapointed as Rowenta used to be top of the line

      Rowentas have become complete junk lately, if you want a decent iron that doesn't spit water everywhere I'd look into anything made by Tefal/Moulinex/Calor. Even better if you can get your hands on a steam generator made by them, a Tefal Easy Pressing will last you a lifetime and you won't be seeing a single drop of water on your clothes

    I followed the link to your website; the site's been updated. The wonderful spreadsheet in the video showing a side-by-side breakdown of all those features from one model to another had been removed, and I was disappointed. There was only a series of ads regarding a short list of different models. Is there any way that spreadsheet is still available?
    Thanks for the content.
    Keep up the good work.

    I have one Rowenta iron with the spray on the left and boost of steam on the right. So convenient while ironing. Well it just stopped working after about 10-12 years. Can’t find one now that is made with the spray on the left and boost on the right. 🤷🏼‍♀️ Had gotten so use to that as I was ironing. Why the change?

    Hi! I hope you get to see this comment! Thank you for your video. I had a question... I am currently in Europe (France) and there are a few versions of the Rowenta Focus Excel: the DW5225D1, DW5220D1 which are sold in a store called Darty that sells home appliances and the DW5210D1 which is sold directly by Rowenta. The DW5225D1 is the one that most "looks" like the one you are describing. But it's quite confusing! I don't know which to choose!!! Also do you like the Focus Excel model over the Eco Intelligence model a lot better? I read your blog entires but I am still on the fence about what to choose. And now with all these different versions of th Focus Excel I'm having a very hard time knowing what chose to make!
    Thank you for your time!

    Rowenta irons blow. They don’t even get hot enough to create steam, my temp gun doesn’t lie. Not hot enough to create steam = puddles of water pouring out of it. Yes, using tap water as instructed, waiting until it is fully “heated” (a joke) and following every direction Rowenta gives you.

    Hello,
    How can I get steamforce with 220volt in USA?

  • @mikeva4127
    @mikeva4127 Рік тому +1

    Steam force...
    I got about 2 months past the warranty and it broke. Right out of the box, the steam burst button would stick in the down position and I would have to smack the iron to get it to eventually pop back out. Very poor quality. The integrated pump which keeps the steam working failed early. This company doesn't stand behind its products because they know they use cheap components.
    This cost a lot of money and I got a little more than a year out of it. Steamforce should be called con-force.

    Hi, thanks for the video. I have a Rowena Steam Pro 1800 W (an older version). It has been used very little. I just took it out of the closet and have found when I iron is drips a lot of water. When I press the steam button, it does steam but not that much and again there is water coming out of the holes rather than steam wetting my garment. Is that an issue you have seen? Any tips? Thanks!
