I would appreciate if you could just watch a couple seconds of my newest video! Need a Christmas gift? Consider one of these! ua-cam.com/video/pxIBUCoYWiU/v-deo.html
I’ve never used an iron in my life and now that I have a small business I needed to iron! Thanks to this video I was confident and did a great job! Thanks!!
In the middle of a night, for no apparent reason, I found this video very pleasing to watch hereby also educating myself on how to use a steam iron as intended. Even though ironing clothes is clearly not something of my preference nor do I enjoy ironing my clothes, seeing an unused steam iron pop in my house out of nowhere sparked some little interest inside me, subsequently encouraging me to iron my wrinkled shirts regularly instead of hiding them by wearing a jacket, a sweatshirt or a sweater on them. Fortunately, what also added as a cherry on top was the fact that this video was not uploaded a decade ago on UA-cam by an elderly person, and was in fact composed and uploaded by a humorous person.
I am glad you found the video and enjoyed watching it! Taking the time to write out an extra long comment to express your overall thoughts about the video is greatly appreciated and it put a smile on my face! I thank you once again!
Thanks! This helped me out alot! I'm a 26 year old autistic woman who never had to do any chores at home. I was so scared of trying this as it is new to me. But your detailed instructions really helped me.
my sister brought an steam iron like a year ago.. we didnt know how to use it as we were only familiar wirh the regular dry ones.. the manuals were all written in some unknown languages but we were so dumb we forgot to search on internet... we just kept it without using it since then and here i am finally searching for videos to learn how to use it..
U o ow what I already know how to iron. But I enjoy the concept of your channel because people like my husband who didn’t grow up with his dad to teach him how to tie a tie etc… this channel is much needed. Thanks for what you do!
Good thing I come to see this video. We only have electric flat iron (non-steam operated) and I am planning to buy one that uses steam in the future. This helps. Thanks. :)
I like videos like these where sure the use is straightforward but to confirm we’re doing it right. And if there’s other lil tips and tricks you might not be aware of
Thank you so much for this video, been putting off ironing for so long but it elevates your look. The only issue I had is that on my refil of my iron the next shirt got soaked, it kept putting out a lot of water - not sure what happened there. I hope I haven't ruined the shirt!
Hope some of my tips helped! If the iron is spitting out too much water, you could try to turn the setting down to a lower setting. You could also run the iron over the ironing board beforehand so the water spits out onto it instead of your shirt/clothes. :)
i was trying to teach myself how to iron clothes with steam so i turned on shower to maximum heat to steam up the bathroom, and i was about to throw this iron into the tub while plugged in. good thing i watched this video, i almost died, you saved my dang life
Wow 30k views! Thank you so much! I want to see how many people actually read the comments. Right now currently I have 1396 subscribers. In 24 hours I want to see how many I can get! This video is my number 1 performing video! Let’s see what you guys can do! Will report tomorrow! 😊
Today was my first time ironing by myself, I didn’t know the proper functions until I watched this video! It was extremely helpful, thank you so much for uploading!
I was hoping you could explain whether you need to use the steam function or not. I have been happily using a dry iron for decades and have just bought a steam iron but don't know if I need to put water in it or I can just use it as a normal iron.
Hi Lyre, you don’t need to use the steam function on an iron. Dry ironing is completely fine. I like to use the setting on mine because the water helps to get the wrinkles out faster (and it does a better job), but both are fine methods! Thanks for the comment
Thanks for this video. I have 2 suggestions: first, adjust your camera so you dont need to bend your knees to stay within frame. Maybe put your camera farther or higher on a tripod or elevated surface. Secondly, i really wish you had explained more in detail how to actually iron the shirt, like the sleeves, collar, etc.
Thanks for the comment Shakeel! You nailed 2 points that I actually noticed myself, of course after I made this video. In that video, the space that I was filming in wasn’t the largest space, hence why I bent my knees. I did have a really small (height wise) tripod but have since upgraded to one that allows me to stand straight :p I re-watched my video and I realized that I missed a lot, and that I could have added so much more. I made another video, titled “How to Properly Iron a T-Shirt”, and I actually mentioned and showed how to iron sleeves, sides, etc. I do appreciate your comment. It means a lot when someone watches and then provides advice! Thanks for watching Shakeel!
I have listened to many people and have finally made the video. I made a video on how to iron pants for beginners! If you need more ironing help feel free to click the link! ua-cam.com/video/sqgpj1qHq6o/v-deo.html
Great video. I am yet to try to use steam function on my Black & Decker iron, to put into practice what I learned from the video. I want to ask you something. Do you possibly know what "cool ironing" is? I've bought two shirts recently, one is 100% cotton and another is 96% cotton 4 % elastine, but both should be "cool iron"-ed. How is that done? Do you have a video about that?
Hi Alex! I don’t have a video about “cool ironing” yet, but thanks for the idea! I would think that that material would have to be ironed on the lowest heat setting. You might be ironing for a while though as to the low heat lol. Personally, I would start on the lowest setting and if I did not see any results after some time, I would increase the temperature a little bit. You could do this, but it is up to you. The fabrics are delicate and I don’t want see you ruin a new shirt. Hope this helps! Thanks for the comment!
Thanks for this! Just one extra thing that would be handy is to be told roughly how long to wait after unplugging until it's safe to touch (so I can put it away)
I've been ironing my clothes for a long time now. They were mostly t shirts. Now I am a trainee and have to wear proper white shirt so I try my best to iron it good. Unfortunately, it creases up immediately after ironing. I would even use some water to get rid of them but they won't go! Help 😣
good vid, but what is missing is 'why'. Why would i want to use steam when ironing as opposed to dry iron? It wouldn't take that much to throw that info in there, would it? It would help me and some others probably too. Still thanks for your effort!
Hi Vince, the dripping is normal, I get it sometimes too. Just make sure you don't overfill the unit as that could be a cause. If it is "melting" the clothes, turn the iron down a couple settings. Feel free to ask any other questions!
I would appreciate if you could just watch a couple seconds of my newest video! Need a Christmas gift? Consider one of these! ua-cam.com/video/pxIBUCoYWiU/v-deo.html
This is why people should film and upload everything they do. I was just looking for a video to show my toddlers what an iron is. Voila.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Idk I was dying use a iron to iron some beads together
Exactly, I got a hand-me-down iron and have been sitting on it for months not knowing where to put the water in.

I am a whole entire 26 year old man and have not learned to iron before now. Thanks for the guide!
There's nothing wrong with lacking a skill that wasn't taught to you, what counts is finally taking the initiative to learn it!
Just got my first big boy job and need to be in business attire, this helped a lot, thank you my man.
Thank you so much, i have never used an iron before, and it didn't come with instructions. It may sound silly, but I needed this video!

@@LoganRyeTheTieGuy Thank you. I thought this was a simple question but I couldn't find a single website or video explaining that!
Married content. Straight to the point.
This really helped lost my direction to my iron. Thanka

Awesome video! Quick, informative, and right to the point! Thanks for posting ;)
Thank you for this information. I would recommend not grabbing the iron by the metal plate or showing that in a video about how to use irons.
Afon mcmyer and 2 adults please iron well, then fling it over the back of the pantry drape
Thank you for this video! So so helpful!

Hi Vince, the dripping is normal, I get it sometimes too. Just make sure you don't overfill the unit as that could be a cause. If it is "melting" the clothes, turn the iron down a couple settings. Feel free to ask any other questions!
Very nice thank you
