This is great! I’m so glad I found this! There’s no way to make a proper comparison unless you get all the irons! So thank you for doing this and giving such an honest review! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
For approximately the past 25 years Rowenta has been my go to iron. I've previously tried other irons but they just don't compare in my opinion. I upgraded with each Rowenta purchase. Rowenta is a quality brand and now viewing this video I will purchase the SteamForce since my current Rowenta has seen its best days. Thank you for the review.
I’m a 37yr male. At lunch today I asked my similar aged coworkers (all male): “I wonder if I need to research irons before I buy one. You know, I’m getting old 🤷🏾♂️ They all look at me and start in: “Of course man! You want Ping, Taylor, expensive, inexpensive? Def don’t go with used”. I just shook my head. I mean, my ping’s are solid, I just didn’t have the heart to tell the truth and not hear the end of it for the remainder of our time working together. Glad to find this video 👌🏾
I bought a $40 Panasonic generic iron back in 2016. I've used it 5 days a week for the past 5 years and it finally gave up the ghost. I was originally planning to purchase a replacement in the $40- $50 range but I'll treat myself to the Rowenta SteamForce DW 9280 instead XD.
I’m so glad that this video stood the test of time! I knocked my poor black and decker (that we’ve had since I was a baby) on the tile and it broke into pieces 😢
You do an awesome job of reviewing the irons. Thank you. Fantastic personality, very professional and easy to understand. Thank you for taking the time and the expense to do this. Blessings to you. Gene
Thank you for this. My tfal iron just started dumping water with mineral deposits on my clothes so I want a really good one for my sewing and quilting needs. I was hoping to get an oliso but having seen this I’m on the fence. 😊
Does anyone else iron leak water when ironing? I bought one from Walmart called the black Decker and it stays leaking alittle then i constantly have to go back and re-iron it and I don’t want to mess up the material. Idont even use the spray/steam buttons so idk why its leaking. Someone lmk if its my iron or usual with ALL irons
I am wishing that ironing was a bigger part of my life, because you do such a great job with your videos. I used to iron everything but sharing an iron with my wife causes problems. She irons something, I'm assuming her rubber and plastic clothing, and when I would iron it would smear black material into my clothes. Since I rely on getting my clothes out of the dryer while hot. But I want an iron now as clothing seems to need it more now than previously for some reason. Great work!
Ironing over clothes that has words on them like plastered or something gets stuck on the iron and makes that black thing. I flip the clothes and do it 😅u should slowly express your frustration saying why does this happen do u know? Or by any chance do u go over stuff that leaves this….
The best iron I've owned is the Hamilton Beach Durathon. Lots of steam, nonstick plate, retractable cord, and self cleaning feature. I've owned it for 5 years now and still working.
If Rowenta stopped making steam irons which other irons would you purchase. Would you consider the other three? I think you sold me on the Rowenta Professional Steamforce. I did read some bad reviews but is people complaining about the button and the lead or cap you open and close to pouring water. But I like all the pours on the iron plate.
Just purchased the DW9280, In the box was a plate the size of the iron but no idea what this is for. Can find no info on line or in box about it. Could you plz advise. Thanks.
Correction: Amazon lied to me! It was showing me the used items by default (not sure why or how). Glad I realized it before I purchased. So this is incorrect: Currently the Rowenta Steamforce 9280 is more affordable than the Focus 5080.
This was very helpful. Thank you for an excellent comparison. The Rowenta Steam Force would definitely be my choice- but the color is so off putting to me. It’s too much blue. If only it were available in other options.
I loved and trusted the video and therefore clicked on the link to buy the first iron from amazon but it has a 15% one star review. I normally don't buy anything with more than 7 or 8 % one star review.
Thanks so much for your positive feedback. Let me know what you end up choosing. I've experienced nothing but pleasure from my Rowenta Steamforce, but I totally understand your reasoning.
I would definitely go for one of the Rowentas. Apart from the solid construction quality I like the strengthened chord support where it leaves the back of the iron. Cheaper irons dont have that and the chords usually end up twisting and breaking at that point.
You are adorable and this was a super-useful video. I admire your geeky approach. What other way would I want to proceed, than with your kind of analysis? Thank you.
Every rowenta i have owned ends up leaking so not enthralled with this. I wonder 2 years later how it is performing. It’s a shame because I hate to keep throwing these irons in the landfill because they don’t work properly in the end. Maybe I will try the black and decker since I seem to be replacing so often I do use one for sewing and one for regular household ironing so I have two rowentas, both not pleased with!
I'm very glad it helped. Ps. I still stand by the Rowenta Steamforce or the Rowenta Focus 100%. I'll be buying some more irons in 2020 to see how they compare.
I like your reviews but have to STRONGLY disagree with your love for the Rowenta Steamforce. Mine has been a nightmare - it spits (and gushes) water all the time. I can use it dry but definitely not with water unless I want to soak my fabric :) Thank you!
I agree. 2 expensive rowentas that stopped working with auto shut off. Company was not helpful. I thought spending more money would get me A better iron. Saddened me as it was a nice looking iron. I've had more success with an inexpensive Black and Decker
How about small/compact irons?I have a small oster iron that i inherited. It leaks sometimes because of my own impatience, i want to replace it soon. Any suggestions? Thank you!
I quilt and use the steam button to the point that it fatigues my hand. Do all these irons require the same amount of pressure on the button to activate a burst of steam?
For the Rowenta iron, I have silk and polyester shirts, i see that on the side it says silk but I do not see polyester, will either of the rowenta irons work for my polyester shirt if you have an idea?, I hope all is well with you and that you see this message thanks :)!
I just ordered the 9240 from Belgium, as I'm in New Zealand. They don't sell the Rowenta's here but based on your reviews I got one. I had the Bosch Steam Iron. Will let you know what I think of it once I have it
I didn’t think I was that cheap. I had the black and decker for a while but the cord shorted out (it also leaked) then bought the sunbeam because I liked retractable cord. I don’t see myself spending $90 for an iron but will see what else rowenta has to offer.
Oh she doesn't seem biased at all... I see her waving the steam force but nothing was shown on thr other irons. This is more like an opinion video than an actual review

Is it just really loud negative Amazon reviewers? I don't know but I really would like someone to help clear things out.
