Damn! Very nice!! I like how the body lines and pitch of the rear part of the bed stayed. If this was your second attempt at cutting down body panels then I'd say you have a natural gift for it.. a true DaVinci in the making! Just think what you could accomplish with a CNC Water Jet or dare I say Plasma cutter. ;)
Oh man I appreciate it! New things are always scary to try but I’m always willing to give it ago. Funny I’ve been interested in cutting with plasma cutters. Sometimes they’re super useful!
@@ciscomatic_c10 Definitely depends on the material being cute and the skill of the person programing said machine.. thinking WAY outside the box as it were.. YOU GOT THIS!!!
How do you cut it down to eliminate the light? I have a 68 bed on my 67 and want it to match the year. Also do you have a video of you removing the stake pocket?
@@ciscomatic_c10 ok so instead of jogging around the lights you just measure 4” from the face of the tail light and cut it straight up to where it jogs over for the body lines
I drew a horizontal line about 4.5in from the top of the bed and another one about 6.5in. Both running horizontal. Remember you can cut wherever you like so these are just rough estimates. These two lines should cross the vertical line that you drew to cut. From the top horizontal line where the vertical line and top horizontal line intersect you mark 4in (8/2). Then you grab the point where your vertical line and that bottom horizontal line intersect now draw a line from that point and the 4in mark you made on the top. Sorry I did as best I could to explain, hopefully it helps
Good job! I like how you incorporated keeping the marker light in and your cut marks are pretty close .
Thank you sir!!!
Nice I de get my done almost the same thanks for your videos

The strap was a good idea. I didn’t think of that when I did mine
Yes the strap does help, specially when you need some leverage lol

Yes if you look I show how to cut down 67 beds sides. I took 68-72 bed side and converted it.

@@Mr07bowtie yes that’s pretty much it.
How do you get the measurement for the angle cut on the body line?
