This community is an Eden Alternative member and it is wonderful for the residents and for the families to see so many activities - animals, pets, children, music, art, etc. Makes it not just a Senior Residence but their new homes. As a long year "Eden-user" working as nursing director in a nursing from near Zurich in Switzerland I can only confirm everything that is said in the film.
Seniors still need to live life, not just wait to die in a place that clinically supplies all their physical needs. Here in So Cal there are a few places that share Eden's philosophy of whole person care, but sadly, their few and far between. I love helping seniors find real care by dedicated real people. I hope more providers begin to adopt such a new vision of care.
