Great job, thoroughly enjoyed your restoration process and how patient and detailed you were about getting it right. I’m 79 now but as a teenager I worked on a small dairy farm full time and drove two B’s like this one for hundreds of hours. Never lost my love for the John Deere B. Again thanks for the videos.
Reminds me of myself when i was younger i rebuilt my first tractor a 2N ford when i was 12 years old . I love seeing the youth of America keeping this old iron alive its a good education and a good skill set to have .
Andrew - a very fine restoration you have completed. You're very skilled with this. I'm sure much patience was also involved given it took three years to complete. Nice work and you now have another treasure of history.
I’ve spent many hours in the seat of a JD B when I was younger. Mine was not a fancy styled version like yours. We had a flywheel to turn by hand to start the engine. But even with the hours driving, I didn’t learn half of what you needed to know to complete your restoration. My hat’s off to you. 👍
I love the straight pipe too, although it was nice to shut it off after driving it for an hour. I would probably install a muffler if i used it in the field.
I have videos about this tractor. Although I was still figuring out how to make them decent. Currently working on a Farmall M will have videos about it soon.
@@thesmallenginekid It looks like you got great views on the first Farmall video. I think Kurtis is correct. You should turn out a complete series on that tractor with lots of complete videos. I know it's a ton of work, but I think it will really grow your channel. This is some of the best work I have seen on UA-cam, ever! You are an outstanding young man. I'm a new subscriber and look forward to great things ahead.
Great vid Andrew. It was fun seeing the old footage of the rescue. The tractor kept getting younger in the vid, an someone else was getting older an smarter.🤘 Seeing all three of them at the parade was cool. I luv the lil M of your dad's. I didn't realize how cute and small they are until I saw you load it in that lil trailer.👍👍
Great job. If you run that in a couple tractor pulls, don’t forget to add a whole lot of weight to the front end; I’d say, 400 lbs should do it; that should keep that front end from lifting skyward.
I've watched your tick tock videos And now follow you on UA-cam And I just gotta say you do amazing work Thank you for all your hard work and great Is videos
Little concerned about locktite on the piston rod bolts. My dad bought a B where previous owner did something similar.. the nuts released and rod came out of crankcase cover. We bought the tractor cheap and put a replacement engine in. I have seen where wire was used on the castle nuts. You still need to drill a hole in the bolts.
Really nice work!!! I used to start and run my granpa's 36 B when I was a kid, I'm 73 now. Grandpa bought it new and the equipment to go with it. I wish I knew where it is now. Are you in FFA or have you been? God bless you.
Thanks. They do not have FFA or 4-H near me in CT. I like going to the fairs up in Litchfield County to see the animals and fair events. Last Fall I usually took a tractor for the stone boat pulls.
Squatch253 does ultra-detailed work on Cat crawlers, prototype Minneapolis Moline crawler and tractor, and currently working on a Farmall “Preparation H” rebuild. This Andrew is more like Squatch253 than Andrew Camarata because he doesn’t (hasn’t) used a chain saw to put a new radio in his truck dash.😂
I get a lot of used parts on ebay. But that can be hit or miss. If your fine with shelling out some cash you can get a rebuilt one from Steiner or Brillman or I could sell you a rebuilt DLTX 67, which fits a JD B, for 300$ plus $100 core charge.
Bro that tractor looks awesome man looks very beautiful did a nice job with the spray gun but I got a question for you where did you get your respirator at do you have like a model number or something I like to get me one for painting does it do any good is it pretty good appreciate you let me know please thank you
Dang, most of the John Deere B's I've seen had a crank flywheel start and pet-cocks that you opened to start the tractor. That electric start version doesn't seem very realistic. You should have gotten an older version. Also, I think most batteries in that era were 6 volts, not 12 volts.
I am looking for an early model B! I have a 1940 hand start H. Early B's are unstyled and hand start, mid-year B's are styled with the battery in the hood or no battery on hand start models, late B's are styled with the battery under the seat. A 12v battery will turn a 6v starter and turn it faster than 6V. Over time the starter will wear out faster on 12v than 6v. And with a 12V battery you need to put a resister before the coil if it is a 6v coil. On this B I swapped the generator/voltage regulator with a simple 12v single wire alternator.
Ok so do you know all of this? Which would be mind bottling. Or does your dad know it and he’s teaching you? Both are cool. I’m just curious. All my dad taught me was how to get mad and goat Fuck as a curse word.
The BEST part of every project . The time you and your dad spend together .

Refreshing to see a young man perform good work
Refreshing to see an oldie say something positive about a young person
Nice job in the restoration. Fine part of American history.

Never thought I would find old tractors so interesting, your videos are a pleasure to watch, so glad I found your channel, subscribed. 👍
Nice job on the B! I love the old John Deeres. I’m glad you and your dad are saving them from the scrap pile.
Your Dad is a good teacher. Well Done
Andrew You've done a really professional restoration job on that John Deere B, it's a real credit to you. Well Done.
Great fun to see such wonderful work. My family were John Deere Dealers. Brought back so many fine memories of days gone by.TX

Verry nais work wid the traktor. GOOD LUCK. from Jörgen Ringdahl in Västervik Sweden.
Need you to come out to CO and help with some Allis projects haha
Only a few thousand miles away lol. But If I'm ever in CO I will definitely have to stop by.
Barely 46 seconds in and I can tell. THIS is a real restoration that thing was a goner before you got ahold of it good work
Beautiful tractors. Such a fantastic job on that B. I appsolutly love to hear it running! 😀
I love the straight pipe too, although it was nice to shut it off after driving it for an hour. I would probably install a muffler if i used it in the field.
Great summary Andrew! Been a long road and it was worth it! The tractor looks great!
you should do a full restoration series on one of these! loved it

@@davidakridge2831 Thank you David! Yes the first farmall video has far surpassed my expectations. My plan is to make 3 more videos about it.
A period correct implementnt to attach to tractor would be a cool project. Well done restoration!
I loved the video, keep doing what you like with love, passion and a lot of patience
Awesome job !

Thanks! Yes the M is a nice little tractor. That 10ft trailer and it make a good combination for hay rides and towing.
Nicely done something to be proud of young man!
Great job, love the John Deer B
Wow.. that’s an amazing restoration! Be proud man that’s awesome.
Great show. Looks terrific.
You guys do a very good job. I like your videos thank you.
Great job of restoring the John Deere tractor. Would love to see it pulling a couple of bottom plows.
Good job, greetings from Poland.
I'm redoing a 41 styled b. Love your content. Keep it up
great restoration!
I'm glad to see that a young man such as yourself takes a intrest in old farm tractor's more people should do what your doing keep up the good work
That's a great tractor, that would make a good episode of classic tractor fever

What a great job!!
You have done an excellent job on those tractors.
I hope you find a G to do!!!
Good job, looks like a brand new tractor 👍

Great restoration of a beautiful tractor. Just subscribed and can’t wait for more. Where are you located? Thanks.
Thanks for watching and subscribing. Im in southern CT
Good to see the old tractors still running. (wrong color but still nice. real tractors are red 😉😄)
I have some of the other green tractors as well as working on my fifth red tractor now. I am currently fully rebuilding a 1940 Farmall M!
I've watched your tick tock videos And now follow you on UA-cam And I just gotta say you do amazing work Thank you for all your hard work and great Is videos
Must be something with the name Andrew because he is the next Andrew camarata
Except this Andrew’s gear doesn’t break for no reason!
good job

Love these videos could you source and revive a AR I’m in love with those
Yeah, nice paint job ! Can you tell me what kind of air compressor you are using?
First tractor I learned to use on our family farm was a John Deere B

My wife inherited one from her dad. It needs a carburetor. Any ideas where we can find one ?

Your videos remind me of Andrew camarata’s.
Great job 😊 would you consider selling the B model.
Everything is for sale at the right price.
Bro that tractor looks awesome man looks very beautiful did a nice job with the spray gun but I got a question for you where did you get your respirator at do you have like a model number or something I like to get me one for painting does it do any good is it pretty good appreciate you let me know please thank you
I raked so much hay with a B john deere
It works
What was the one facing backwards on the trailer? Has to be an H. I'm SO jealous. Wish I had them all. Now you need a D and a G.
Needed the Ford for the big load.......
Yes, it is rated at 10k lbs and the two tractors and trailer is close to if not more that that. My dodge is rated at 7k.
You should’ve used the John Deere Green paint (made by John Deere)
andrew what parade are your tractors in
Could you show how to read the serial number to find what year it is because I can’t find out how

I have just one question. Why so seldom and short videos????
Ok so do you know all of this? Which would be mind bottling. Or does your dad know it and he’s teaching you? Both are cool. I’m just curious. All my dad taught me was how to get mad and goat Fuck as a curse word.
You’re a badass!
Dad is there, tractor starts he exits stage left. Lol He's in the shadows and likes it that way.
Great job.
