Can’t believe we’re here again, but alas we are. I’m going to use this pattern to make a new hat for the rally next weekend. Thank you for your tutorial.
The instructions were easy to follow and the Paget was easy. This was one of the best videos for showing what the presenter is actually doing with the yarn and the hook.
Jayda, I know you are a knitter as well as gifted with many talents. Like myself you seem to focus on crochet on your channel and which I find SO MUCH easier than knitting, could be crochet is what my late Mom taught me as a spud. I so appreciate your uplifting, funny, concise and simple tutes. Happy and Healthy New Year to you, Mr. Stitches and all you loved ones.
Fantastic tutorial! My 6 y/o daughter loves your hat. She’s even more stoked that you’ve chosen pink and purple (since she absolutely loves those colours). She’s asked me to crochet her one after I finish making my blanket.
Hi jayda. This is an interesting way to make the cat ears hat. I’ve seen people do a big long rectangle and then sew in the sides. I love your pattern too because your stuff comes out soooo neat. I love your work and you were one of the first you tubers I’ve watch when I started crocheting. I can honestly say your videos and written patterns helped me so much. You inspire me that you can crochet anything that you can think of. I love you so much. Your work is the best ever
Hi jayda! I am robin and i just love your show. You are really good with your instructions. You take your time and i can understand you I learned a lot from you. Keep up the good work.
Yes you "nailed it" LOL That was so cute. Don't know what I'd do without my weekly dose of cheer. You guys are so fun. :) You always make me Laugh Out Loud. And I have learned so much. Thank you so much for sharing and making me happy. ;) Take care, jlee x
Thank you for posting this. I've used it to make 2 hats so far and they look perfect. Which is great considering I've only been crocheting for 4 months.
Thank you so much for making that hat I was trying out another pattern and I could not do it then I come across yours now I finish one for a baby I like how you teach
After finishing the blanket I'm making for my baby nice ( I'm using a mix of you're 2018 calendar blanket - little fish, primrose, falling leaves and X's and O's ) I think I will have a lot of yarn to spend in this projects. thank you for every video you have released so far. I started crocheting last November ( yeah... and I'm 29 xD), and you have being a lot of help with a lot of ideas. Really, Thank You A lot!!!!
I really hope so. Crochet is like therapy for me, and, since I'm currently unemployed I'm trying to make useful crochet items for sale. By the way, even though I'm pretty fluent in english ( I'm almost native ), you were the first teacher that I could understand without a single problem. I'll try to send you a picture of part of the blanket, the yarn is not as thick as yours, I'm using a 3mm needle, it's little fishes - divider row - primrose - divider row - falling leaves - divider row - X's and O's - divider row- and repeat from bottom to top. The idea is to make a cover for the bed of the baby, and not a real blanket. I hope my heart sister like's it ;)
Soooo cute that I'm making one just now, I love all your crafts and projects Jayda !! and love you too ..you are always making me smile and plus you are a great teacher always making all the projects so easy to follow and to do, thank you for all the love that you giving to all of us!! 💕💯
I've been wanting to make a cat ear hat for a cosplay I've been working on and this video really helped! Thank you!! Edit: I feel that it is important to mention that I was able to make sense of this despite never having made a crochet project before!
Jayda!:) I suddenly realized that I could try to buy a pattern, and it worked!! Hurray!!:)) Still can't come through to the tip-jar, but the door is open to the patterns! Let's do some shopping!:))
Thank you so much! I have been looking for a hat just like this to make. I have found lots of just plain cat hats but I wanted one with color on the inside of the ears--:)
Amazing.. I thought its very difficult to make but u solve my problem by this vedio... I wants to make it for 3-5 yrs girl. What should be d starting chain for such little one?
Hey Jayda, Can you do a tutorial on a chunky hat with the spirals hanging from the top ? I find your tutorials are much more explainable and easy to follow.
Just made this gorgeous little hat and will gift it to a little girl as I only have grandsons..... at the moment Jayda 🤞💖. Lovely pattern and I thank you again. Will tag you on Instagram...again lol x
My great granddaughter lives in New Mexico and I want to surprise her with this hat. Since I’m unable to measure her head, what is the typical length for a child’s headband? She will be 8 yrs old on Feb. 26.
Hi Kathy, If you want to stripe the brim so that stripes run vertically, you can change colours every few rows while making the cuff. If you want to make the brim look like one big stripe, you can make it in a single colour, then change colours to make the rest of the upper part of the hat :)
I love it!!! You are awesome ! I love your videos ! have you made ever mermaid tail? I would love to see it or maybe a future video?! Anyway thank you for all of your tutorials!
Hello 👋, I am fairly new to crocheting. You say to use 150g of worsted weight yarn. I have a 142g, medium 4, acrylic skien. Do you think if I used a smaller hook would it still work?
Hi Amy, this hat pattern is based on size rather than stitch count so if you used a smaller hook, you might end up needing more stitches to reach around your head which brings you back to the same issue: you might need 150g. Now, 150 g is a general suggestion, you might need less. The other way of looking at this particular hat pattern is you will likely need around 150 yards for an adult sized hat. Not all yarn weight = length, so if you have 142 g, but it's more like 200 y than you should be ok 💗
Quick tip ..if you’re worried about accidentally stitching the back panel put a piece of cardboard or a card in back of you work so the needle can’t go through.
Adorable kitty hat... I have a 16 month old Great neice that this would look adorable on…I think this would make a very CUTE hat for a newborn as well!! Would that be possible?? 😁
Can’t believe we’re here again, but alas we are.
I’m going to use this pattern to make a new hat for the rally next weekend. Thank you for your tutorial.
Just finished your cat ears hat. It came out very nice with your instructions. Thanks!

Love ut! So adorable ❤
Hi Jayda! I just purchased your pattern for the cat hat. A friend wants me to make this but stripe the brim! Can you tell me the best way to do that?

Hi Belinda, Thank you for watching and for the suggestion :)
Love your videos Jayda , was curious though, how would you make wolf ears or dog ears for something like this?
Hi Violet, Thank you for watching :) We might have to change up the pattern for that!
Oh yes! Please! I can see a fox hat being popular, or an owl hat, or a mouse hat! Oh!!
Love the hat. Will make one during the summer . Grey for my baby 😊. Off topic, what size are your bags?
Hi Lee, this makes such a cute baby hat :) Our tote bags are 100% cotton and 18" x 15" :)
Jayda InStitches Thank you for your response.
