Thank you for including tips to make it fit adults! A lot of hats that are (mainly) meant for kids don't. But you know what, if I (grown ass 32 year old woman) want to wear a bat cowl in my own home, I damn well will >:)
I'm thinking of making this for my grandsons..5 & 7. When I showed my boyfriend, he got all kinds of indignant and sad. He wants one too. And he's a grown ass 48 year old lmao. I'm 55 and I refuse to completely grow up. Enjoy your bat cowl!
I would like to recommend Soft & Stable, a washable stabilizer that will hold the ear in shape and not come apart in the wash. I love your tutorial for the bat and for the ears. Very easy to understand and a special thanks for putting the instructions in text on the video. You're super great!
I see your video suggested by UA-cam and, while English is not my native language, I understand everything and, the size of the mask you make is the right one for my grandson! Thanks.
I love how your things are looking when complete. I'm going to visit more of your videos to see what else I want to make. Thank you for the tutorial. I hope you are still making things for this channel.
Amanda Belmain me too. but i cut up an old baseball cap and used the plastic inside the visor part. that way i can wash it. cardboard wouldn't allow u to wash it.
wow.. thank u so much for this tutorial.. i made a regular beanie & was gonna add the symbol for my neice ( believe it she loves batman!') but now im gonna start over cause this is too cute & I know she will love it so much more than what I had made.. cant thank u enough for u sharing all these wonderful ideas u have!! I love it & I know all these Batman lovers will too... I'm so glad I found your channel & I hope u never stop uploading all your amazing ideas.. your awesome :)
Well after pulling out my first try & redoing it, it came out as expected! Not sure what happened the first go round! Thank you for sharing this my grandson loves it & so does his Dad,hopefully I don't have to make him one too! I did use plastic from a 99 cent store plastic folder instead of cardboard for ears which I figured would hold up better in washing on delicate/hand wash cycle and it does marvelously!
Hi. I love your tutorial. Thanks so much for making it. I have a grandson who loves batman. He will love this. Do you perhaps have a tutorial for a crochet batman cape?
Instead of cardboard, you could use the semi hard plastic insert you get in the bottom of reusable shopping bags. Just round off the edges a wee bit so it doesn't poke through the wool.
This is a really cute little hat and your tutorial is really well done and easy to understand. The only thing that I'd probably change is to not use cardboard for the ears because then if you wash it, it's going to get ruined. I'm wondering if it might be better to cut one of those really thin plastic cutting boards or placemats so that they hold up if they get wet. Or if anyone has any other suggestions please let me know. (I don't think I'd want to use polyfill because it would make the ears look too puffy) Thanks for the great video!😊
Thank you so much! Made this and the logo...the kids loved them! Love the way you explain each step and especially when you show what stitch to start in. That is tricky, sometimes. :) Do you have a tutorial for the Minecraft Beanie? Would be so happy to have it to make for Christmas gifts!! Thanks again :D
could you please do a pattern for a cape that will go good with this? I found a cute pattern but I have to pay for it an it's not in the size I need "/
This is great but could you give a warning before you get to the end. Like single stitch in each stitch and I will see you at the end hello for the next step just a suggestion. when I'm following you I look at my stitches and look up and you are ahead no warning starting a new row? Thank you so much :)
I'm loving the way this looks! making it as a Christmas gift to my nephew- would it be weird to request a viking hat tutorial if possible? I really love the patterns you make
Awesome !! In the pattern for the basic beanie, do the two chains at the beginning of a row count as 1 DC? It would be helpful for beginners if you could mention the no.of stitches at the end of each row.Thank you so much for sharing. Pls do reply....waiting to get started
Thank you for this wonderful project! I have never successfully make a hat before, but it turned out pretty well! The problem is that it is much too big for my 7-year-old nephew, and I have no idea what I did wrong. Does anyone have an idea how I might have inadvertently made it bigger? (I am going to suggest to the birthday boy that he give this hat to his dad and I will make him a replacement once I figure out what I did wrong.)
Hi there! We all crochet in different ways. If the beanie turned out too big you can try doing it with a thinner yarn, or a smaller hook. This way the final beanie will be smaller ;)
The rows for the nose don't seem adequate for a man's hat. My husbands nose is actually rather small and it barely covered half. Is there some way to improve on this?
Thank you for including tips to make it fit adults!

LOL, make it little bigger? 😊

ive just made this for my son. really impressed with it! so easy to make.
Instead of cardboard I used plastic canvas mesh, it's stiff yet flexible and it won't be ruined if it gets wet.
Amanda Belmain I was just about to ask if there was a non-paper option! thanks!
Amanda Belmain
me too. but i cut up an old baseball cap and used the plastic inside the visor part. that way i can wash it. cardboard wouldn't allow u to wash it.
I used the black plastic top from two Folgers coffee cans, and that worked great for me. It was easy to cut with scissors.
How many centimetres do we measure from the centre front for a man’s eyes ?

Just suggestion, easier will be make for the ears to make perfect square fold in half and that way you just fold and there is perfect triangle

You can also use dollar tree clear cutting board mats!
May I just say that your hook looks so so cute and comfortable !!
Thank you so much for sharing your talent to us...well done💖

how do you wash them if there is cardboard In them
I used the plastic grid thing used for needle work in place of the cardboard.
What about making 2 for each ear and sewing together.....would make them thicker I am going to try mine like that
Thanks for this tutorial! How much yarn did you use for this?:)
All I need is the the ears due to I need an easy triangle shap can they be done in SC stich?

Would I do the same if I wanted to make a minion one without the ears?? What do I do to make the eyes more round? Your video is great!!!
Not me making this for myself 😅😅
Is there a gauge for this pattern or written instructions?
If you use plastic canvas for the ears it be better and easier to wash.
