Is it just me or do these 2019 custom shop models REALLY sound like authentic vintage guitars? I’ve never thought CS Gibsons sounded authentic until now
@Inspector I do understand what you're talking about. I think the issue is that there are two distinct 2019 releases - the pre JC, and the post JC era instruments. Mine is a post-JC 2019, and I believe that all of these iterations embrace the "classical" Gibson ethos that everyone seeks.
Inspector there are quite a bit more than 9 used original 1959s for sale on auctions and only 640 were made. Less than 100 came with A3 magnets and it is the rarest version. Price is 500k+ for perfect condition A3 original. I'm sure you are not in market for original or reissue winey little cryspector. Keep barking at happy gibson owners in comments.
Got a 60th annv. `60 VOS V2 tomato soup burst. Awesome axe. Very few needs to make it play better. One of course changing to your preferred brand and gauge of strings. Next is maybe the back of the neck. I may remove some of the gloss finish and lightly sand it to a satin feel. Personal preferrence. Other than that its setup from the get-go.
Meh shit happens I have had 70 k cars with issues as well. But some people think that some small shit is an issue like the wood grain ain’t perfect or the spray paint. Well in 59 it wasn’t either.
@@wallywanker7435 ahh well silly me.. I shouldn’t complain just give them my money for a piece of shit and shut the f&ck up about it then.. no worries, you had £70,000 cars with issue so it must be alright then..

Dan Noc to those people music is more than a hobby, its their life, its their passion. They chose to make less money and do what they love instead of making a bit more and spending their week just waiting for it to be over. That choice is a fork in the road that i do not look forward to arriving at
nearly four times what I paid for my 2011 Traditional ( no push pulls, no min-e-tune, no wider neck or zero fret.) and I doubt it's 4 x the guitar either. But still I would *LOVE* to try this 60th anniversary one as It's the closest i'll ever get to playing a real '59.
@@galaxys9658 the woods used for an original 59 are no more .. the craftsmen who made the 59 are no more so to compare this with a real 59 you would be a clown .

The Anniversary model can never be like the original. The reason is that the original were built by a luthier who had flatulence problems. It is believed that the gases that he released are a key ingredient to explain the un fathomable, mystifying tone of the original 1959 Les Pauls
All I will say is 2018 was Gibsons last great guitars. 2019 onwards Bovarian Rosewood aka Ironwood it's not a Gibson it's now a logo on the headstock. When JC resigns or sells up I will have a party because hopefully Gibsons will have soul again...
Chill, dude, they offer Indian Rosewood and there definitely will be Brazilian in future runs, as there are Brazilian boards already on 60th anniversary 1959
Yes the 60th anniversary model feels nothing like the R0s made up to 2018 the 2019 onwards Gibsons are Gibsons in name only. They feel synthetic in my and my luthiers opinion.
Which specs are off ?? If you make the claim...back it up with some good details. Sorry, I disagree about your first point. I might be tempted to replace these pickups, but I think they sound really solid. Throbak in the USA or Monty's in UK are good choices if you want authentic PAF's. Vintage=Great Tone...I disagree

Finally! Top of the line 2019!
That has got to be the prettiest fretboard I have ever seen. Such a pretty contrast between the inlays and the rosewood.
Awesome. Playing amazing
Sounds freakin' juicy. 24.75 scale rules!
"I don't even know what that was but I dug it" Lol
I played a sister of this one at Session in Frankfurt/Germany, and it just was amazing by all means
i played this guitar last week worth every penny best lester i ever played in 35 years
Some tasty jazz at the beginning
I just came up on one of these. 🤙🏼
Mine is also slightly savaged. 😂
Amazing sounding guitar thanks 🙏
Greg could demo a cardboard cutout of a Les Paul and it would A) Sound great and B) Sell quickly
Beauty!
