There's no such thing as bad weather when you have a dramatic display of steam railroading. Follow along with the Black River & Western Railroad #60 during a photographer's special, featuring a mixed freight consist, period-dressed actors, hailstorms, and even a rainbow. The volunteers of the BR&W spared no expense at making this a memorable event. The trip was organized through a collaboration between the Black River Railroad Historical Trust and D. Drennen Photo Art.

When we needed him most, he returned.
Dear lord, some of the most beautiful steam productions ever.
That rainbow is beautiful in the background.
Just when I think "This is it, surely he can't top this...."
Astounding, you're putting that camera to great use. Clearly in skilled hands!
This is beautifully produced; a story well told. I was proud to have one of my vintage photographs in a show at the O. Winston Link Museum this past year and your tip of the hat, masterfully done, did not go unnoticed. Exceptional good work and thank you.
Thanks for the glowing review. O. Winston Link is an inspiration to us all, and I am glad you noted the influence. :-)
Incredible production!! Black River and Western #60 is one I have not seen in person yet, but I definitely plan to once it is back in service; and I am definitely looking forward to it even more now after watching these excellent scenes!!
Isn’t it amusing that this vid dropped during an already personally wonderful day? Seems it just got better. Man, this is ART.
And even a month later, I gotta say this. I forgot to in the first place. The shot at Ringoes was literally *perfect.* That rainbow really added such a special touch to it, along with the camerawork.
Beautiful, nice Takeshi and shots Beautiful color grading
Joe,
This is an absolutely spectacular video, from beginning to end! I think the opening might have been my favorite part with a great selection of detailed shots with seamless transitions. Not to mention, a great selection of shots with great compositions and great colors! Very impressive film, Joe!
Man, I’m just speechless at the quality of this. Absolutely amazing work!!
Yes! New video! Thank you so much for making such pieces of art! You are an inspiration to me. So much, that I'm filming cinematic videos of trains myself.
I am so glad you are enjoying it! That means a lot.
This is amazing. I really don’t know what else to say. The way you bring so much life into your videos is simply incredible. I can’t wait for the full 2102 video sometime in the future!
if there was a movie cast, I would have thought this was for a movie!
It’s nice to see that this channel still uploads every now and then
Thank you! I can’t put out a lot of videos very often, so I like to try my best on each one I make.
Wonderful Erie caboose. Reminds me of the days when the Erie used to run through my town. Days long since passed.
Amazing video guys. This is the kind of video we all strive for! Well done!
They really got this old beet hauler flying in some of these scenes, some moments are reminiscent of her time on the GW
I've ridden on that beauty twice. But I think it's been restored since I saw her last. First time I was a kid probably late 1960's. Second time was shortly after I got married, either 1978 or 79.
3:22 to 3:27 the sound is perfect!
It is great to hear it running at speed, isn’t it?
This was absolutely stunning. I think it was the best steam video I have ever seen. You deserve a longer, more flowery comment full of praise but I'm at a loss for words.
Cool !
Excellent video
Excellent work!
Fabulous video. Your editing is superb. The 6 shots are amazing, and the black and white at the end is very dramatic. A pleasure to watch.
Yet another magnificant video.
Fantastic video and scenery. We enjoyed watching and have a wonderul rest of your Thursday.(Steve)
Awesome video I loved that u we’re able to get inside the locomotive
incredible, cinematography looks straight out of Rocky Mountain Express
That’s some high praise! Thank you so much!
Dude, what, this is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen.
Beautiful.
It's so strange because it's the little things that bring you back home, the shot of Copper Hill Trestle with the Canada Geese just sounded exactly like home to me. It really is strange.
Thanks - yeah, same for me. Sometimes it’s those little details that just make it. I was lucky enough to have the geese give me such an almost choreographed performance. I’m pretty sure my mouth was hanging open in surprise during that shot.
But like you said - it wasn’t just the visuals - the sound of the geese was equally as important.
I am glad you appreciate those details the same way I do.
Joe Fusco he always makes great UA-cam videos of steam. I’ve been a follower since R&N 425 returns. Way way back around 2008! Pretty sure I actually know him and met him many times trackside and @ RSME just can’t put a face to the name anymore. But I’m certain we will cross paths again and then I’ll remember. I never forget a face.
Wow. Just wow. Beautiful video
Nice video! I couldn’t go see this cause I didn’t know about it
Great job as always! Thank you!
14:18 i like how rainbow is on the station behind no. #60
Great video!
Wow
Dear god. I'm speechless at the shots you did. That was awesome. Glad you and many others luck out with the weather.
Thank you! Luck is a strong word - we had to hunker down for at least a whole hour waiting for some of the more torrential rains to pass. The rainbow was a consolation prize, but well worth it! Either way the weather made for a dramatic show. Glad you enjoyed it!
@@fuscoproductions oh yes. The shot with BR&W 60 over the rainbow was epic.
And so he returns!
It too me way to long to finally watch this. Out of all the videos that weekend I think you made the best. From trackside to cab ride the shots and locations are fantastic. Great video, and for a joke it was totally great not seeing you that weekend 😂.
You had the most beautiful camera shots iv seen so far I'm jealous
Your video work is spectacular as always!!
Pure art sir!
Absolutely incredible!
That last shot just screams OWL!
So, whens it gonna be in IMAX theaters? 😂 Fantastic video!!!
Ha! Never say never, I guess!
Thanks for the kind words. :-)
@@fuscoproductions You’re very welcome!
Absolute gorgeous videography, may I ask what camera & lens you used?
