This is my neck of the woods. I’m from Central NY, the Mohawk Valley and there are so many great things to do in this state just within a coup of hours from me. It really is beautiful country.

I live near Sarnia, in Kincardine. Some of the Canadian border crossing officers are so intimidating...We are in our 70s and really, being pleasant doesn't cost anything... We don't go to the US anymore because we have to come back home across the border again...
Hi Sarah And Rue I loved this seeing you and Rue go across to Canada and get to go to NIAGRA FALLS and to see the border patrol want to go inside your van and be like wow I want to do that Sarah you are a Rock star to trail blaze this for lots of women and Its amazing that we get to come along for the ride

I live in central NY. It is really beautiful here. When people say New York everyone thinks of the city.
Upstate New York is beautiful. The mosquitoes can carry you away, but gorgeous all the same.
We haven’t had any yet. I think it depends on if your by any standing water.
Hey Sarah - really good to see a new video from you. It appears that the van agrees with you, other than not being able to find great spots to park in the Northeast. I'm still working on clearing out the house, have one of my surgeries scheduled, and will go to the credit union next week to talk about financing options. I know Drifter has a good one, but apparently, if you're selling your house and moving into an RV full time, you may be able to qualify for a mortgage loan -- this would be a better interest rate for me, even though I hope the sale of my house will pay for the van in full eventually. Then, of course, is the problem of juggling funds I don't have until I sell the house. Actually, I have a few things I could sell to come up with the down payment, so we'll see how all of that goes. I'm hoping to be on the road sooner than later. Getting so excited. There are so many things that need to be figured out. I suppose I should also go see my insurance agent to see how all of this would affect combining my vehicle and home policies. Oy! It was nice seeing you film some of my old stomping grounds. I went to Niagara when I was just a kid, but went to Hobart and Wm Smith Colleges at the top of Seneca Lake. I'd been to Watkins Glen several times, and I've visited all of the Finger Lakes. I am glad that you had fun at my old stomping grounds. I looked at Cayuga lake for years. You saw some of my favorite falls.
Btw Cayuga is said as Kai You Gah. Accent on the you.
I lived on Grand Island New York until I was seventeen and then I moved to Niagara falls New York I now live about an hour-and-a-half southeast of Buffalo I don't want to see the town but it's beautiful out here. The finger lakes are beautiful I can't wait to see your videos that you are going to put out .I live by Letchworth park. There are so many things to do in the park and they have a hot air balloon thing every year that is really cool. We live on a farm and you can see all of the hot air balloons from our house. I would love to live in a van and travel. We have a sixteen-year-old a three-year-old and a five-year-old and my sixteen-year-old just got his license like 3 days ago after high School he wants to travel and we have been watching videos about people traveling and I'm so happy I found yours!

Yes finger lakes! We love Ithaca. We live outside Syracuse. Upstate and CNY is way different than the city. Thanks for showing the beauty of God’s creation.

It looks like the van provides more flexibility with access to parking areas for cars. Must be more relaxed than the Airstream Trailer choices…

We are facing a heat wave here. Is it true that running the air conditioning sitting still puts a lot of stress on vans like yours? Just wanted to know. Living in a van right now could be difficult because of the extreme heat, How has it been for you as summer comes to the east coast?

Love the Finger Lakes. As a child(>60 yrs ago) we visited often. Mostly Canandaigua and Cayuga. Beautiful! Enjoy.
Oh my goodness . Loving this video , we just got back to NC from spending 19 nights in upstate NY at a KOA. If i had known , I would have invited you to enjoy Italian food with us , i am sure Roo would have enjoyed it as well . 😊

You were lucky at the border crossing coming into Canada...We are Canadian Citizens, in our 70s...coming home from the U.S. we are totally intimidated every time. The Customs Officers are on a power trip...you are treated as a 2nd class citizen...Going into the U.S.. we are told to drive safely and have a good trip... We don't cross the border any more because of the Canadian border officers...

So great that you were in the area. I live just a few miles from where you were in Canandaigua (you said Keuka just fine , btw). Watkins Glen is so wonderful, glad you stopped there. Welcome to the real New York, we are so much more than NYC.
We spent 4 months at home in 2023. The rest of that time, we were happily traveling all over the country to different National Parks to camp and enjoy. No stopping for us anytime soon!
Beautiful trip. Some of my favorite areas. Ummmm…. Isn’t the blue water filter supposed to be attached to the water spigot, not reversed into your tank???

You got it right. Keuka . Q-ka. Stayed in a good friends cottage many times when going to races at Walkins Glen
I currently have a class c Rv but would like to get a van. However I have a rescue lab, and I am concerned about the amount of space she would need. I travel with my husband so there are 2 of us and baby girl Maddie who weighs 62lbs. Any recommendations as to if this is possible. We won’t be living in it so, what do you think.
